إِلَىtoطُولِlengthالِاقْتِضَاءِof the necessity،,وَمَعَand withبَعْضِsomeالسَّاكِنِof the residentلِلْمُسْكِنِfor the dwelling،,وَحُبِّand loveالْمُسْكِنِof the dwellingلِلسَّاكِنِfor the resident..

To the length of necessity, and with some of the resident's satisfaction with the dwelling, and the dwelling's love for the resident.

لِأَنَّbecauseالسَّكَنَthe residenceيُحِبُّlovesصِحَّةَhealthبَدَنِof the bodyالسَّاكِنِof the resident،,وَنَفَاقَand prosperityسُوقِهِof his marketإِنْifكَانَhe wasتَاجِرًاa merchant،,وَتَحَرُّكَand movementصِنَاعَتِهِof his craftإِنْifكَانَhe wasصَانِعًاa craftsman..

Because the residence loves the health of the resident's body, and the prosperity of his market if he is a merchant, and the movement of his craft if he is a craftsman.

وَمَحَبَّةُand the loveالسَّاكِنِof the residentأَنْthatيَشْغَلَoccupiesاللهُGodعَنْهُfrom himالْمُسْكِنَthe dwellingكَيْفَhowشَاءَHe wills..

And the resident's love is that God occupies the dwelling away from him however He wills.

إِنْifشَاءَHe willsشَغَلَهُHe occupies itبِعَيْنِهِwith its eye،,وَإِنْand ifشَاءَHe willsبِزَمَانِهِwith its time،,وَإِنْand ifشَاءَHe willsبِحَبْسٍwith imprisonment،,وَإِنْand ifشَاءَHe willsبِمَوْتٍwith death،,وَمَدَارُand the axisمُنَاهُof his wishأَنْthatيَشْغَلَHe occupiesعَنْهُfrom him..

If He wills, He occupies it with its eye, and if He wills, with its time, and if He wills, with imprisonment, and if He wills, with death, and the axis of his wish is that He occupies it away from him.

ثُمَّthenلَاnotيُبَالِيhe caresكَيْفَhowكَانَwasذَلِكَthatالشُّغْلُthe occupation،,إِلَّاexceptأَنَّهُthat itكُلَّمَاwheneverكَانَwasأَشَدَّmore intenseكَانَit wasأَحَبَّmore belovedإِلَيْهِto him،,وَكَانَand it wasأَجْدَرَmore worthyأَنْthatيَأْمَنَhe feels secure،,وَأَخْلَقَand more fittingلِأَنْthatيَسْكُنَhe dwells..

Then he does not care how that occupation was, except that whenever it was more intense, it was more beloved to him, and it was more worthy that he feels secure, and more fitting that he dwells.

وَعَلَىand onأَنَّهُthat heإِنْifفَتَرَتْslackenedسُوقُهُhis marketأَوْorكَسَدَتْstagnatedصِنَاعَتُهُhis craft،,أَلَحَّhe persistedفِيinطَلَبِseekingالتَّخْفِيفِthe reductionمِنْfromأَصْلِthe originالْغَلَّةِof the rent،,وَالْحَطِيطَةِand the deductionمِمَّاfrom whatحَصَلَhe obtainedعَلَيْهِon itمِنَfromالْأُجْرَةِ1the rent..

And if his market slackens or his craft stagnates, he persists in seeking reduction from the origin of the rent, and deduction from what he obtained of the rent [1].

وَعَلَىand onأَنَّهُthat heإِنْifآتَاهُgave himاللهُGodبِالْأَرْبَاحِwith profitsفِيinتِجَارَتِهِhis trade،,وَالنَّفَاقِand prosperityفِيinصِنَاعَتِهِhis craft،,لَمْnotيَرَhe seesأَنْthatيَزِيدَhe increasesقِيرَاطًاa caratفِيinضَرِيبَتِهِhis tax،,وَلَاand notأَنْthatيُعَجِّلَhe advancesفَلْسًاa pennyقَبْلَbeforeوَقْتِهِits time..

And if God gives him profits in his trade and prosperity in his craft, he does not see that he increases a carat in his tax, nor that he advances a penny before its time.

ثُمَّthenإِنْifكَانَتِwasالْغَلَّةُthe rentصِحَاحًا2sound coinsدَفَعَhe paidأَكْثَرَهَاmost of itمُقَطَّعَةًcut،,وَإِنْand ifكَانَتْwasأَنْصَافًاhalvesوَأَرْبَاعًاand quartersدَفَعَهَاhe paid itقُرَاضَةًscrapsمُفَتَّتَةً3fragmented..

Then if the rent was sound coins [2], he paid most of it cut, and if it was halves and quarters, he paid it as fragmented scraps [3].

ثُمَّthenلَاnotيَدَعُhe leavesمُزَبِّقًا4a plated coinوَلَاand notمُكْحِلًاa coin coated with blackوَلَاand notزَائِفًاa counterfeitوَلَاand notدِينَارًاa dinarبَهْرَجًا5base،,إِلَّاexceptدَسَّهُhe slipped itفِيهِin itوَدَلَّسَهُ6and he concealed itعَلَيْهِon it،,وَاحْتَالَand he contrivedبِكُلِّwith everyحِيلَةٍtrick،,وَتَأَتَّىand he facilitatedلَهُfor himselfبِكُلِّwith everyسَبَبٍcause..

Then he does not leave a plated coin [4], nor a coin coated with black, nor a counterfeit, nor a base dinar [5], except he slipped it in it and concealed it on it [6], and he contrived with every trick, and he facilitated for himself with every cause.

فَإِنْand ifرَدُّواthey returnedعَلَيْهِto himبَعْدَafterذَلِكَthatشَيْئًاsomething،,حَلَفَhe sworeبِالْغَمُوسِby the perjury that plunges into sinأَنَّهُthat itلَيْسَis notمِنْfromدَرَاهِمِهِhis dirhamsوَلَاand notمِنْfromمَالِهِhis wealth،,وَلَاand notرَآهُhe saw itقَطُّeverوَلَاand notكَانَwasفِيinمِلْكِهِhis possession..

And if they returned to him after that something, he swore by the perjury that plunges into sin that it is not from his dirhams nor from his wealth, and he never saw it, nor was it in his possession.

فَإِنْand ifكَانَwasالرَّسُولُthe messengerجَارِيَةَa slave girlرَبِّof the lordالدَّارِof the houseأَفْسَدَهَاhe corrupted herوَرُبَّمَاand perhapsأَحْبَلَهَاhe impregnated her،,وَإِنْand ifكَانَwasغُلَامًاa boyخَدَعَهُhe deceived himوَرُبَّمَاand perhapsشَطَرَhe dividedبِهِwith him..

And if the messenger was a slave girl of the lord of the house, he corrupted her and perhaps impregnated her, and if he was a boy, he deceived him and perhaps divided with him.

This is with honor-seeking over the neighbors and harassment of the female neighbors, and with hunting their birds and our exposing to their complaints.

And perhaps he weakens their minds with desires, and he opens for them doors of expenditures, to defame them and profit.
