وَخْزُهُمُTheir prickingالَّذِيthatلَمْnotيَشْتَرُوهُthey bought it......
Their pricking that they did not buy ...
وَمَجْلِسُهُمْAnd their assemblyبِمُعْتَجَلِin the turmoilالظَّلَامِ6of darkness
And their assembly in the turmoil of darkness ⟦6⟧
وَإِنْAnd ifجَنَفَdeviatedالزَّمَانُtimeمَدَدْتُI would extendحَبْلًاa ropeمَتِينًاstrongمِنْfromحِبَالِropesبَنِيsons ofهِشَامٍ7Hisham
And if time deviated, I would extend a strong rope from the ropes of the sons of Hisham ⟦7⟧
وَرِيقُAnd the salivaعُودِهِمْof their woodأَبَدًاalwaysرَطِيبٌmoistإِذَاwhenمَاwhatاغْبَرَّbecame dustyعِيدَانُthe woodsاللِّئَامِof the ignoble!!8!!
And the saliva of their wood is always moist when the woods of the ignoble become dusty!! ⟦8⟧

Meaning: And their assembly is in intense darkness, or in a place teeming with darkness.

He says: If days incline and are unjust, I cling to the rope of the sons of Hisham.
- 8.أي: كلامهم ومدحهم دائم الخير، إذا تغير كلام اللئام.
That is, their speech and praise are always good, when the speech of the ignoble changes.
