وَلَوْAnd ifأَنَّthatلِيfor meفِيinكُلِّeveryمَنْبِتِrootشَعْرَةٍof hair
And if in every root of hair for me...
لَسَالَنَاthey would flowلَمَاfor whatاسْتَوْفَيْتُI fulfilledوَاجِبَthe dutyحَمْدِهِof His praise
...they would flow, I still would not have fulfilled the duty of His praise
وَرَأَيْتُAnd I sawمِنَit asاللَّازِمِnecessary
And I saw it necessary
أَنْtoأُورِدَmentionفِيinهَذِهِthisالرِّسَالَةِletter
to mention in this letter
كَلِمَتَيْنِtwo wordsأَوْorثَلَاثاًthree
two or three words
عَنْaboutكُلِّeveryفَنٍّartمِنْfromهَذِهِtheseالْفُنُونِarts
about every art from these arts.
