وَذَكَرَand he mentionedصُوَرَهَاits formsوَأَمْثِلَتَهَاand its examples
And he mentioned its forms and examples.
وَبَيَانَand the explanation ofفَوَائِدِthe benefits ofالْقُيُودِthe restrictionsالْوَارِدَةِmentionedفِيinالْكَلَامِthe speech
And the explanation of the benefits of the restrictions mentioned in the speech.
مِنْfromاحْتِرَازٍprecautionأَوْorغَيْرِotherذَلِكَthan that
From precaution or other than that.
وَيَكُونُand the guidance isالتَّوجِيهُinفِيthe chapter ofبَابِremindingالتَّذْكِيرِof the bountiesبِآلَاءِof Allah
And the guidance in the chapter of reminding of the bounties of Allah.
بِتَصْوِيرِby depictingتِلْكَthoseالنِّعَمِblessingsوَتَجْسِيدِهَاand embodying them
By depicting those blessings and embodying them.
وَبَيَانِand explainingتَفْصِيلَاتِهَاits detailsوَجُزْئِيَّاتِهَاand its particulars
And explaining its details and particulars.
وَفِيand inالتَّذْكِيرِremindingبِأَيَّامِof the daysاللَّهِof Allah
And in reminding of the days of Allah.
بِبَيَانِby explainingتَرَتُّبِthe consequence ofبَعْضِsomeالْأَحْدَاثِeventsوَالْوَقَائِعِand occurrencesعَلَىuponبَعْضٍothers
By explaining the consequence of some events and occurrences upon others.
وَإِيفَاءِand fulfillingحَقِّthe right ofالتَّعْرِيضِinsinuationالَّذِيthatيَرِدُoccursأَثْنَاءَduringسَرْدِthe narration ofالْقِصَّةِthe storyوَالْحَادِثِand the incident
And fulfilling the right of insinuation that occurs during the narration of the story and the incident.
وَعُمْدَةُand the mainstay ofالتَّوجِيهِguidanceفِيinالتَّذْكِيرِremindingبِالْمَوْتِof deathوَمَاand whatبَعْدَهُis after it
And the mainstay of guidance in reminding of death and what is after it.
تَصْوِيرُis depictingأَحْدَاثِthe events ofمَاwhatبَعْدَis afterالْمَوْتِdeath
Is depicting the events of what is after death.
وَوَصْفُand describingالْحَالَةِthe stateالَّتِيwhichيَكُونُthe dead personعَلَيْهَاis uponالْمَيِّتُit
And describing the state which the dead person is upon it.
وَمَاand whatيُلَاقِيهَاhe encounters ofمِنْblessingsنِعَمٍorأَوْterrorsأَهْوَالٍit
And what he encounters of blessings or terrors.
أَنْوَاعٌtypesأُخْرَىotherمِنْofالتَّوجِيهِguidance
Other types of guidance:
وَمِنْand fromفُنُونِthe arts ofالتَّوجِيهِguidanceوَأَنْوَاعِهِand its types
And from the arts of guidance and its types:
1 - Approximating what is difficult to understand and distant from the mind due to lack of familiarity and habit.
2 - Repelling the contradiction between two proofs, two insinuations, or between the rational and the transmitted.
3 - Differentiating between the two confused things.
4 - Harmonizing between the two differing things.
5 - Explaining the truthfulness of the promise that the verse came with.
