The fourth chapter
فِيInغَرَائِبِwondersالْقُرْآنِof the Quranالْكَرِيمِthe noble
Regarding the wonders of the noble Quran
[تَنَوُّعُ[Diversityغَرَائِبِof wondersالْقُرْآنِ:]of the Quran:]
[Diversity of the wonders of the Quran:]
إِنَّIndeedغَرَائِبَwondersالْقُرْآنِof the Quranالْكَرِيمِthe noble
Indeed, the wonders of the noble Quran
(أَي(meaningالسُّورَthe surahsوَالْآيَاتِand the versesالَّتِيwhichوَرَدَoccurredفِيهَاin themفَضْلٌvirtueخَاصٌّ،special,
(meaning the surahs and verses in which a special virtue is mentioned,
أَوْorلَهَاfor themمَزِيَّةٌdistinctionخَاصَّةٌ)special)
or they have a special distinction)
الَّتِيwhichجَاءَcameذِكْرُهَاits mentionفِيinالْأَحَادِيثِthe noble hadithsالشَّرِيفَةِnoble
which were mentioned in the noble hadiths
بِمَزِيدٍwith an increaseمِنَofالْاهْتِمَامِattentionوَبَيَانِand clarificationالْفَضْلِof virtue
with greater attention and clarification of virtue
تَنْقَسِمُare dividedأَقْسَاماً.into sections.
are divided into sections.
غَرَائِبُWondersالتَّذْكِيرِof remindingبِآلَاءِwith the bountiesاللَّهِof Allah- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:
Wonders of reminding with the bounties of Allah - the Most High -:
فَمِنْSo amongغَرَائِبِwondersفَنِّthe artالتَّذْكِيرِof remindingبِآلَاءِwith the bountiesاللَّهِof Allah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -
So among the wonders of the art of reminding with the bounties of Allah - the Most High -
تِلْكَare thoseالسُّورُsurahsكَآيَةِlike the verseالْكُرْسِيِّof the Throneوَسُورَةِand Surahالْإِخْلَاصِ،Al-Ikhlas,
are those surahs like Ayat al-Kursi and Surah al-Ikhlas,
وَآخِرُand the endسُورَةِof SurahالْحَشْرِAl-Hashrوَأَوَّلُand the beginningسُورَةِof Surahالْمُؤْمِنِ.Al-Mu'min.
and the end of Surah al-Hashr and the beginning of Surah al-Mu'min.
غَرَائِبُWondersالتَّذْكِيرِof remindingبِأَيَّامِwith the daysاللَّهِ:of Allah:
Wonders of reminding with the days of Allah:
وَمِنْAnd amongغَرَائِبِwondersالتَّذْكِيرِof remindingبِأَيَّامِwith the daysاللَّهِof Allah- تَعَالَى -- the Most High -
And among the wonders of reminding with the days of Allah - the Most High -
تِلْكَare thoseالْآيَاتُversesالْكَرِيمَةُnobleالَّتِيwhichتَرِدُoccurفِيهَاin themقِصَّةٌa storyنَادِرَةٌ،rare,
are those noble verses in which a rare story occurs,
أَوْorتُذْكَرُis mentionedفِيهَاin itقِصَّةٌa storyمَعْلُومَةٌknownبِجَمِيعِwith allتَفَاصِيلِهَاits detailsوَأَزْجَائِهَا،and parts,
or a known story is mentioned in it with all its details and parts,
أَوْorتَأْتِيcomesفِيهَاin itقِصَّةٌa storyجَلِيَّةُclearالْفَوَائِدِin benefits
or a story with clear benefits comes in it
تَكُونُbeingمَظَنَّةَa source ofاعْتِبَارَاتٍconsiderationsكَثِيرَةٍ،many,
being a source of many considerations,
لِذَلِكَthereforeقَالَsaidالرَّسُولُthe Messenger- صَلَّى- may Allah blessاللَّهُHimعَلَيْهِand grant Himوَسَلَّمَ -peace -
therefore the Messenger - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - said
فِيregardingقِصَّةِthe storyمُوسَىof Mosesوَالْخِضْرِand al-Khidr- عَلَيْهِمَا- upon both of themالسَّلَامُ -be peace -
regarding the story of Moses and al-Khidr - upon both of them be peace -
"وَدِدْنَا"We wishedأَنَّthatمُوسَىMosesكَانَhadصَبَرَpatiently waitedحَتَّىuntilيَقُصَّrelatesاللَّهُAllahعَلَيْنَاto usمِنْfromخَبَرِهُمَا".their news".
"We wished that Moses had patiently waited until Allah relates to us from their news".
