تَنْقِيحُRefinement ofالْعُلُومِthe sciences ofالْقُرْآنِيَّةِthe Quranicالْخَمْسَةِ:the five:
Refinement of the five Quranic sciences:
وَمِنْهَاAnd among them isتَنْقِيحُthe refinement ofالْعُلُومِthe sciencesالْخَمْسَةِfive
And among them is the refinement of the five sciences
الَّتِيwhichهِيَareمَنْطُوقُthe explicit text ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْعَظِيمِthe Great
which are the explicit text of the Great Quran
وَقَدْandجَاءَhas comeذِكْرُهَاmention of itمُفَصَّلاًdetailed
and its mention has come in detail
فِيatأَوَّلِthe beginning ofهَذَاthisالْكِتَابِbook
at the beginning of this book
فَلْيَرْجِعْso let him returnإِلَيْهِ.to it.
so let him refer to it.
[تَرْجَمَةُ[Translation ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranبِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ:]in Persian:]
[Translation of the Quran in Persian:]
وَمِنْهَاAnd among them isتَرْجَمَةُtranslation ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْكَرِيمِthe Noble
And among them is the translation of the Noble Quran
بِاللُّغَةِin the languageالْفَارِسِيَّةِPersianبوَجْهٍin a mannerقَرِيبٍcloseمِنَtoالنَّصِّthe textالْعَرَبِيِّArabic
in the Persian language in a manner close to the Arabic text
فِيinمِقْدَارِthe amount ofالْكَلِمَاتِwordsوَالْعِبَارَاتِ،and expressions,
in the amount of words and expressions,
وَالتَّخْصِيصِand specificationوَالتَّعْمِيمِand generalizationوَغَيْرِand otherذَلِكَ،that,
and specification and generalization and other than that,
وَسَمَّيْتُand I namedهَذِهِthisالتَّرْجَمَةَtranslation"بِفَتْحِ"Fathالرَّحْمَانِar-Rahmanفِيinتَرْجَمَةِtranslation ofالْقُرْآنِ"the Quran"
and I named this translation "Fath ar-Rahman fi Tarjamat al-Quran"
وَإِنْeven thoughكُنْتُIلَمْdid notأَلْتَزِمْadhere toهَذَاthisالشَّرْطَcondition
even though I did not adhere to this condition
فِيinبَعْضِsomeالْمَوَاضِعِplacesخَوْفاًout of fearمِنْofعَدَمِlack ofفَهْمِunderstanding byالْقَارِئِthe reader
in some places out of fear of the reader not understanding
بِدُونِwithoutتَفْصِيلٍdetailوَتَوْضِيحٍ.and clarification.

[خَوَاصُّ[Properties ofالْقُرْآنِ:]the Quran:]
[Properties of the Quran:]
وَمِنْهَاAnd among them isعِلْمُthe science ofخَوَاصِّthe properties ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْكَرِيمِ،the Noble,
And among them is the science of the properties of the Noble Quran,
وَقَدْandتَكَلَّمَتْhas spokenطَائِفَةٌa groupمِنَofالْمُتَقَدِّمِينَthe predecessors
and a group of the predecessors has spoken
فِيaboutخَوَاصِّthe properties ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranمِنْfromنَاحِيَتَيْنِ:two aspects:
about the properties of the Quran from two aspects:
إِحْدَاهُمَاone of themمَاwhatيُشْبِهُresemblesالدُّعَاءَ،supplication,
one of them is what resembles supplication,
وَالثَّانِيَةُand the secondمَاwhatيُشْبِهُresemblesالسِّحْرَ،magic,
and the second is what resembles magic,
أَعُوذُI seek refugeبِاللَّهِin Allahمِنْهُ،from it,
I seek refuge in Allah from it,
وَلَكِنَّbutاللَّهَAllah- تَعَالَى -- exalted is He -فَتَحَopenedعَلَىforالْفَقِيرِthe needy one
but Allah - exalted is He - opened for the needy one
بَاباًa doorوَرَاءَbeyondمَاwhatنُقِلَwas transmittedمِنْofخَوَاصِّproperties ofالْقُرْآنِthe Quran
a door beyond what was transmitted of the properties of the Quran
وَأَلْقَىand castفِيintoحُجْرِيَmy lapالْأَسْمَاءَthe Most Beautiful Namesالْحُسْنَىthe Supremeالْآيَاتِthe versesالْعُظْمَىthe greatestوَالْأَدْعِيَةَand the supplicationsالْمُبَارَكَةَblessed
and cast into my lap the Most Beautiful Names, the greatest verses, and the blessed supplications
مَرَّةًall atوَاحِدَةً،once,
all at once,
وَقَالَand saidإِنَّهَاindeed theyعَطَاؤُنَاare our giftلِلتَّصْرِيفِ،for utilization,
and said indeed they are our gift for utilization,
إِلَّاexceptأَنَّthatكُلَّeveryآيَةٍverseوَاسْمٍand nameوَدُعَاءٍand supplicationمَشْرُوطٌis conditionedبِشُرُوطٍupon conditionsلَاthatتَضْبُطُهَاdo not regulate itقَاعِدَةٌa ruleمِنْfrom
except that every verse, name, and supplication is conditioned upon conditions that no rule regulates from
