يُمْكِنُIt is possibleأَنْtoيَخْتَارَchooseفِيinكُلِّeveryفَصْلٍseason
It is possible to choose in every season
مِنْfromفُصُولٍseasonsوَطَقْسٍand weatherمِنَfromالطُّقُوسِthe rituals
from seasons and weather among the rituals
عِلَاجاًa treatmentمُخْتَلِفاًdifferentيُنَاسِبُthat suitsالْفَصْلَthe seasonوَالطَّقْسَand the weather.
a different treatment that suits the season and the weather.
كَذَلِكَLikewise,لَمَّاwhenأَرَادَintendedالْحَكِيمُthe WiseالْمُطْلَقُAbsolute
Likewise, when the Absolute Wise
وَالطَّبِيبُand the PhysicianالْحَقِيقِيُّTrueمُعَالَجَةَto treatمَرَضِdiseaseالنُّفُوسِof the soulsوَالْقُلُوبِand hearts,
and the True Physician intended to treat the disease of souls and hearts,
وَاقْتَضَتْand requiredمَشِيئَتُهُHis will- جَلَّ- majesticمَجْدُهُ -is His glory -إِصْلَاحَto reformمِزَاجِهِمْtheir temperament,
and His majestic will required reforming their temperament,
وَتَقْوِيَةَand strengtheningمَلَكَاتِهِمْtheir faculties,وَإِزَالَةَand removingالْفَسَادِthe corruptionالطَّارِئِemergingعَلَيْهِمْupon them,
strengthening their faculties, and removing the emerging corruption upon them,
اخْتَلَفَdifferedنَهْجُهُHis approach- تَقَدَّسَتْ- holyأَسْمَاؤُهُ -are His names -لِاخْتِلَافِdue to the difference inعَادَاتِcustomsالشُّعُوبِof peoplesوَالْأُمَمِand nations
His approach - holy are His names - differed due to the varying customs of peoples and nations,
وَاخْتِلَافِand the difference inمَلَكَاتِهِمْtheir facultiesوَاسْتِعْدَادَاتِهِمْand preparations,وَمُرَاعَاةًand in consideration ofلِلْمَشْهُورَاتِthe well-known mattersوَالْمُسَلَّمَاتِand accepted premisesعِنْدَهُمْamong them.
the difference in their faculties and preparations, and in consideration of the well-known matters and accepted premises among them.
وَعَلَىAnd uponكُلِّallحَالٍ،cases,فَإِنَّكَthen youإِذَاifأَرَدْتَyou wantedأَنْtoتَرَىseeنَمَاذِجَmodelsالْيَهُودِof the Jewsفِيinهَذِهِthisالْأُمَّةِnation,
And in any case, if you want to see models of the Jews in this nation,
فَانْظُرْthen lookإِلَىatعُلَمَاءِscholarsالسُّوءِ،of evil,طُلَّابِseekersالدُّنْيَا،of the world,الْمُولَعِينَinfatuatedبِتَقْلِيدِwith imitatingآبَائِهِمْ،their fathers,
then look at the evil scholars, seekers of worldly life, infatuated with imitating their fathers,
الْمُعْرِضِينَturning awayعَنْfromكِتَابِBookاللَّهِof Allah- تَعَالَى -- exalted is He -وَسُنَّةِand Sunnahرَسُولِهِof His Messenger- صَلَّى- may Allah blessاللَّهُHimعَلَيْهِand grant himوَسَلَّمَ -peace -
turning away from the Book of Allah - exalted is He - and the Sunnah of His Messenger - may Allah bless him and grant him peace -
الَّذِينَthose whoيَسْتَنِدُونَrelyإِلَىuponتَعَمُّقَاتِthe over-complicationsالْعُلَمَاءِof scholarsوَتَشْدِيدَاتِهِمْ،and their strictures,
those who rely upon the over-complications of scholars and their strictures,
وَاسْتِنْبَاطَاتِهِمُand their deductionsالَّتِيwhichلَاnoأَصْلَbasisلَهَاfor themفِيinالْكِتَابِthe Bookوَالسُّنَّةِ،and Sunnah,
and their deductions which have no basis in the Book and the Sunnah,
تَارِكِينَabandoningكَلَامَthe speechالشَّارِعِof the Lawgiverالْمَعْصُومِthe Infallible- صَلَّى- may Allah blessاللَّهُHimعَلَيْهِand grant himوَسَلَّمَ -peace -
abandoning the speech of the Infallible Lawgiver - may Allah bless him and grant him peace -
يَتَتَبَّعُونَfollowingالْأَحَادِيثَthe ahadithالْمَوْضُوعَةَ.fabricated.
following fabricated ahadith.
وَيَجْرُونَAnd runningوَرَاءَbehindالتَّأْوِيلَاتِinterpretationsالْفَاسِدَةِ.corrupt.
And running behind corrupt interpretations.
الْجَدَلُThe dialogueالْقُرْآنِيُّQuranicمَعَwithالنَّصَارَىthe Christians
The Quranic Dialogue with the Christians
ضَلَالُThe strayingالنَّصَارَىof Christiansفِيinبَحْثِdiscussingحَقِيقَةِthe realityالْمَسِيحِof the Messiah- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ:-be peace:-

لَقَدْIndeedكَانَwereالنَّصَارَىthe Christiansيُؤْمِنُونَbelievingبِسَيِّدِنَاin our masterعِيسَىJesus- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ -be peace -
Indeed, the Christians were believing in our master Jesus - peace be upon him -
وَلَكِنْbutكَانَwasضَلَالُهُمْtheir strayingفِيinتَقْسِيمِهِمُtheir dividingالرَّبَّthe Lord- تَبَارَكَ- blessedوَتَعَالَى -and exalted -إِلَىinto
but their straying was in their dividing the Lord - blessed and exalted - into
