وَبَيَّنَAnd he clarifiedأَنَّthatعِيسَىJesusعَبْدُservant ofاللَّهِ،God,
And he clarified that Jesus is the servant of God,
وَرُوحُهُand His spiritالطَّاهِرَةُthe pureالَّتِيwhichنَفَخَHe breathedبِهَاinto herفِيinمَرْيَمَMaryالصِّدِّيقَةِthe truthful- عَلَيْهَا- upon herالسَّلَامُ -be peace -
and His pure spirit which He breathed into Mary the truthful - peace be upon her -
وَأَنَّهُand that heأَيَّدَهُsupported himبِرُوحِwith the spirit ofالْقُدُسِ،sanctity,
and that He supported him with the Holy Spirit,
وَحَاطَهُand surrounded himبِعِنَايَةٍwith careوَكَلَاءَةٍand special protectionخَاصَّةٍ.special.
and surrounded him with special care and protection.
الْخَطَأُThe errorفِيinاسْتِعْمَالِthe use ofالْأَلْفَاظِ:words:
The error in the use of words:
وَعَلَىAnd uponكُلٍّ،all,
And in any case,
فَلَوْif indeedسَلَّمْنَاwe conceded- جَدَلاً -- hypothetically -أَنَّthatاللَّهَGod- تَعَالَى -- exalted is He -ظَهَرَappearedفِيinكُسْوَةٍgarmentرُوحِيَّةٍspiritualمِنْofجِنْسِthe kind ofسَائِرِthe rest ofالْأَرْوَاحِ،spirits,
if we conceded - hypothetically - that God - exalted is He - appeared in a spiritual garment of the kind of all other spirits,
وَتَدَرَّعَand clothed Himselfبِالْبَشَرِيَّةِ،with humanity,
and clothed Himself with humanity,
ثُمَّthenأَرَدْنَاwe wantedأَنْtoنَكْشِفَuncoverهَذِهِthisالنِّسْبَةَrelationوَالْعَلَاقَةَand connectionكَشْفاًuncoveringلَمْit would notيَجُزْbe permissibleلَنَاfor usأَنْtoنَسْتَعْمِلَuseلِذَلِكَfor thatلَفْظَthe word"الِاتِّحَادِ""Union"إِلَّاexceptبِتَجُوزٍwith greatكَبِيرٍ،metaphor,
then we wanted to uncover this relation and connection explicitly, it would not be permissible for us to use the word "Union" for that except with a great metaphor,
وَأَقْرَبُand the closestمَاwhatيُمْكِنُis possibleالتَّعْبِيرُto expressبِهِwith itعَنْهُregarding itهُوَisلَفْظُthe word"التَّقْوِيمِ""Appraisal"أَوْorشِبْهُهُits likenessمِنَofالْأَلْفَاظِ.the words.
and the closest thing by which it can be expressed is the word "Appraisal" or the likes of it among words.
تَعَالَىExalted isاللَّهُGodعَمَّاabove whatيَقُولُsayالظَّالِمُونَthe wrongdoersعُلُوّاًwith an exaltationكَبِيراً.great.
Exalted is God above what the wrongdoers say, with a great exaltation.
مُوَازَنَةٌA comparisonبَيْنَbetweenالنَّصَارَىthe Christiansوَبَيْنَand betweenالْمُبْتَدِعَةِthe innovatorsمِنَfromالْمُسْلِمِينَ:the Muslims:
A comparison between the Christians and the innovators from the Muslims:
وَإِذَاAnd ifأَرَدْتَyou wantedأَنْtoتَرَىseeنَمُوذَجاًan exampleلِهَؤُلَاءِof theseالضَّالِّينَastray onesفِيinقَوْمِكَyour peopleفَانْظُرْthen lookإِلَىatكَثِيرٍmanyمِنْofأَوْلَادِchildren ofالْأَوْلِيَاءِthe saintsوَ"الْمُقَدَّسِينَ"and the "sanctified ones"مَاwhatهِيَareتَصَوُّرَاتُهُمْtheir perceptionsعَنْهُمْabout themوَاعْتِقَادَاتُهُمْand their beliefsفِيهِمْin themوَإِلَىand toأَيُّwhatحَدٍّextentوَصَلُواthey have reachedبِهِمْ!with them!
And if you wanted to see an example of these astray ones among your people, then look at many of the children of the saints and the "sanctified ones", what their perceptions are about them and their beliefs in them, and to what extent they have reached with them!
"وَسَيَعْلَمُ"And will knowالَّذِينَthose whoظَلَمُواwrongedأَيَّwhatمُنْقَلَبٍreturnيَنْقَلِبُونَ".they will return to."
"And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned."
اعْتِقَادُهُمْTheir beliefبِصَلْبِin the crucifixion ofالْمَسِيحِthe Messiah- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلَامُ -:be peace -:
Their belief in the crucifixion of the Messiah - peace be upon him -:
وَمِنْAnd fromضَلَالَاتِthe misguidances ofالنَّصَارَىthe Christiansفِيinمُعْتَقَدَاتِهِمْtheir beliefsأَنَّهُمْis that theyيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveبِقَتْلِin the killing of
And from the misguidances of the Christians in their beliefs is that they believe in the killing of
