النِّفَاقُHypocrisyالاعْتِقَادِيُّof beliefلَاis notيُطْلَعُknownعَلَيْهِabout itبَعْدَafterالرَّسُولِthe Messenger- صَلَّى- peaceاللَّهُbe uponعَلَيْهِhim- وَسَلَّمَ -:and blessings -
Hypocrisy of belief is not known after the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him -:
أَمَّاAs forالنِّفَاقُthe hypocrisyالأَوَّلُfirst- وَهُوَ- and it isالنِّفَاقُthe hypocrisyالاعْتِقَادِيُّ -of belief -
As for the first hypocrisy - which is the hypocrisy of belief -
فَإِنَّهُit indeedلَاis notيُطْلَعُknownعَلَيْهِabout itبَعْدَafterسَيِّدِنَاour masterرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allah- صَلَّى- peaceاللَّهُbe uponعَلَيْهِhim- وَسَلَّمَ -and blessings -
it is not known after our master the Messenger of Allah - peace and blessings be upon him -
إِذْsinceأَنَّهُitمِنَis ofالأُمُورِthe mattersالْمُغَيَّبَةِ،that are hidden,
since it is among the hidden matters,
وَلَاand there is noاطِّلَاعَknowledgeلِأَحَدٍfor anyoneعَلَىoverمَكْنُونَاتِthe inner contentsالْقَلْبِof the heartوَمُغَيَّبَاتِهِ.and its unseen aspects.
and no one has knowledge of the inner contents and unseen aspects of the heart.
النِّفَاقُHypocrisyالْعَمَلِيُّin actionكَثِيرُis frequentالْوُقُوعِ:in occurrence:
Hypocrisy in action is frequent in occurrence:
وَأَمَّاAnd as forالنِّفَاقُthe hypocrisyالثَّانِيsecond- وَهُوَ- and it isالنِّفَاقُthe hypocrisyالْعَمَلِيُّ -of action -
And as for the second hypocrisy - which is the hypocrisy of action -
فَإِنَّهُit indeedكَثِيرُfrequentالْوُقُوعِin occurrenceلَاnotسِيَّمَاespeciallyفِيinعَصْرِنَاour eraهَذَا،this,
it is frequent in occurrence, especially in this era of ours,
وَإِلَىand towardsهَذَاthisالنِّفَاقِhypocrisyوَقَعَتِoccurredالإِشَارَةُthe referenceفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe nobleالشَّرِيفِ،hadith,
and reference to this hypocrisy was made in the noble hadith,
الَّذِيwhichجَاءَcameفِيهِ:in it:
in which it came:
"ثَلَاثٌ"Threeمَنْwhoeverكُنَّareفِيهِin himكَانَhe isمُنَافِقاًa hypocretخَالِصاً:pure:إِذَاwhenحَدَّثَhe speaksكَذَبَ،he lies,وَإِذَاand whenوَعَدَhe promisesأَخْلَفَ،he breaks,وَإِذَاand whenخَاصَمَhe disputesفَجَرَ".he transgresses."
"Three traits, whoever has them is a pure hypocrite: when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks his promise, and when he disputes he transgresses."
وَ"هَمُّAnd "the concern ofالْمُنَافِقِthe hypocriteبَطْنُهُis his bellyوَهَمُّand the concern ofالْمُؤْمِنِthe believerفَرْسُهُ"is his horse"إِلَىup toغَيْرِotherذَلِكَthanمِنَofالأَحَادِيثِ.the hadiths.
And "The concern of the hypocrite is his belly, and the concern of the believer is his horse" alongside other similar hadiths.
كَشْفُThe exposureالْقُرْآنِof the Quranعَنْofأَحْوَالِthe conditionsالْمُنَافِقِينَ:of the hypocrites:
The Quran's exposure of the conditions of the hypocrites:
وَقَدْAnd indeedكَشَفَexposedاللَّهُAllah- تَعَالَى -- Exalted is He -فِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْحَكِيمِthe Wise
And Allah - Exalted is He - has exposed in the Wise Quran
عَنْregardingأَعْمَالِthe deedsهَؤُلَاءِof theseالْمُنَافِقِينَhypocritesوَأَخْلَاقِهِمْ،and their morals,
the deeds of these hypocrites and their morals,
وَبَيَّنَهَاand explained themأَتَمَّmost completelyبَيَانٍ،in explanation,
and explained them in the most complete manner,
وَأَكْثَرَand magnifiedمِنْfromذِكْرِmentioningأَحْوَالِthe conditionsالطَّائِفَتَيْنِof the two groupsمِنَofالْمُنَافِقِينَthe hypocrites
and frequently mentioned the conditions of the two groups of hypocrites
حَتَّىso thatتَكُونَmay beالأُمَّةُthe nationعَلَىuponحَذَرٍguardمِنْهَاagainst themوَتَجْتَنِبَهَاand avoid themكُلَّallالاجْتِنَابِ.avoidance.
so that the nation may be on its guard against them and avoid them completely.
