الزِّيَادَةُThe increaseبِصِفَةٍ:by an attribute:
The increase by an attribute:
فَتَارَةًSo sometimesتَكُونُit isبِصِفَةٍwith an attributeمِنَfromالصِّفَاتِ،the attributes,
So sometimes it is with an attribute from the attributes,
مِثْلُlikeقَوْلِهِHis saying- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:
like His saying - the Most High -:
- {وَلَا- {And notطَائِرٍa birdيَطِيرُfliesبِجَنَاحَيْهِ}with its two wings}
- {And not a bird flies with its two wings}
- {إِنَّ- {Indeedالْإِنْسَانَmanخُلِقَwas createdهَلُوعًاimpatient
- {Indeed, mankind was created anxious
(١٩)(19)إِذَاWhenمَسَّهُtouches himالشَّرُّevilجَزُوعًاhe is impatient
(19) When evil touches him, impatient,
(٢٠)(20)وَإِذَاAnd whenمَسَّهُtouches himالْخَيْرُgoodمَنُوعًا}he is withholding}
(20) And when good touches him, withholding}
الزِّيَادَةُThe increaseبِالْإِبْدَالِ:by substitution:
The increase by substitution:
وَتَارَةًAnd sometimesتَكُونُit isالزِّيَادَةُthe increaseبِالْإِبْدَالِby substitutionفِيinالْكَلَامِ،speech,
And sometimes the increase is by substitution in speech,
كَقَوْلِهِlike His saying- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:
like His saying - the Most High -:
- {لِلَّذِينَ- {To those whoاسْتُضْعِفُواwere oppressedلِمَنْfor whoeverآمَنَbelievedمِنْهُمْ}among them}
- {To those who were oppressed - for whoever believed among them}
الزِّيَادَةُThe increaseبِالْعَطْفِby the coordinationالتَّفْسِيرِيِّ:expository:
The increase by expository coordination:
وَتَارَةًAnd sometimesبِالْعَطْفِby coordinationالتَّفْسِيرِيِّexpositoryكَقَوْلِهِlike His saying- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:
And sometimes by expository coordination like His saying - the Most High -:
- {حَتَّى- {Untilإِذَاwhenبَلَغَhe reachesأَشُدَّهُhis maturity
- {Until when he reaches his maturity
وَبَلَغَand reachesأَرْبَعِينَfortyسَنَةً} .years.}
and reaches forty years.}

[The increase by repetition:]
وَتَارَةًAnd sometimesبِالتَّكْرَارِby repetitionكَقَوْلِهِlike His saying- تَعَالَى -:- the Most High -:
And sometimes by repetition like His saying - the Most High -:
- {وَمَا- {And notيَتَّبِعُfollowالَّذِينَthose whoيَدْعُونَthey invoke
- {And those who invoke other than Allah do not follow
مِنْfromدُونِbesidesاللَّهِAllahشُرَكَاءَpartners
partners besides Allah,
إِنْnotيَتَّبِعُونَdo they followإِلَّاexceptالظَّنَّ}assumption}
they follow not except assumption}
