He came with the truth, and from that is the saying of the Messenger, peace be upon him, to Abu Huraira when the devil said to him: If you recite the verse of the Throne, a protector from Allah will remain upon you, and no devil will come close to you until you wake up. He (the Messenger) told him: "You have spoken the truth, and he is a liar; meaning: I inform you with the truth. The messengers are truthful, everything that has been revealed to them is the truth. The one who sent them did not lie to them, nor did he lie to the one who was sent to them, who is Gabriel, peace be upon him. Indeed, it is the saying of a noble Messenger who is strong with the one who has the Throne established. (They are) obeyed; then they are trustworthy in [Al-Takwir: 19-21]. And as for the version: "truthful"; the meaning is that their nations must believe in them, and according to this, the meaning of "truthful"; that is: it must be believed legally; whoever lies about the messengers or belies them is a disbeliever. It may be that

And it is permissible that the word "truthful" has another meaning; that is: Allah the Exalted has confirmed them, and it is known that Allah the Exalted has confirmed the messengers; He confirmed them by His saying and by His action: As for His saying; indeed, Allah said to His Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him: and yet Allah bears witness to what He has sent down to you" [4:166], and He said: "And Allah knows that you are His Messenger" [63:1]; so this is affirmation in words. (1) Narrated by Al-Bukhari (2311) from the narration of Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, when the Messenger of Allah appointed him to preserve the zakat of Ramadan. And the Keeper said in "Al-Fath" (488/4) that Al-Bukhari reported this hadith here without explicitly stating in it. . . And it has been narrated by Al-Nasa'i, Al-Isma'ili, and Abu Na'im through other narrations.
