مَعْنَىMeaningهَذِهِof thisالْجُمْلَةُsentenceوَاضِحٌ،is clear,وَبَقِيَand it remainsأَنْthatيُقَالُ:is said:وَحَمَدَand praisedنَفْسَهُHimselfلِكَمَالِfor the perfectionصِفَاتِهِof His attributesبِالنِّسْبَةِwith respectلِنَفْسِهِ؛to Himself;فَإنَّهُfor HeسُبْحَانَهُGlory be to Himمَحْمُودٌis praisedعَلَىforكَمَالِthe perfectionصِفَاتِهِof His attributesوَعَلَىand onإِرْسَالِsendingالرُّسُلِ؛the messengers;لِمَاfor whatفِيis inذَلِكَthatمِنَofرَحْمَةِmercyالْخَلْقِthe creationوَالْإِحْسَانِand benevolenceإِلَيْهِمْ.to them.
The meaning of this sentence is clear, and it remains to be said: and He praised Himself for the perfection of His attributes with respect to Himself and to His messengers; for He, glorified be He, is praised for the perfection of His attributes and for sending the messengers; for this is a mercy to creation and benevolence to them.

The author, may God have mercy on him, has shown in this sentence that Allah the Exalted has combined in what He described and named Himself between the negation and the affirmation, and that is because the perfection of perfection cannot be achieved except by the affirmation of the attributes of perfection and the negation of what contradicts them from the attributes of deficiency; so he indicated to us, may God have mercy on him, that the attributes are of two kinds:
1 -1 -صِفَاتٌAttributesمُثْبَتَةٌ:affirmed:
1 - Affirmed attributes:
2 -2 -وَصِفَاتٌand attributesمَنْفِيَّةٌnegatedوَيُسَمُّونَهَاand they call themالصِّفَاتُthe attributesالسَّلْبِيَّةُthe negativeمِنَofالسَّلْبِ،the negation,وَهُوَand it isالنَّفْيُ،the negation,وَلَاand there is noحَرَجٌproblemمِنْofأَنْthatنَسْمِيَهَاwe call themسَلْبِيَّةً،negative,وَإِنْand ifكَانَتْit isبَعْضُsomeالنَّاسُpeopleتَوَقَّفُواstoppedوَقَالُوا:and said:لَاnoنَسْمِيَهَاwe call themسَلْبِيَّةً،negative,بَلْbutنَقُولُ:we say:مَنْفِيَّةً.negated.فَنَقُولُ:So we say:مَا دَامَAs long asالسَّلْبُnegationفِيinاللُّغَةِthe languageبِمَعْنَىmeansالنَّفْيِ؛negation;فَالْاِخْتِلَافُthe differenceفِيinاللَّفْظِthe wordingوَلَاand does notيُضِرُّ.hinder.
2 - And negated attributes, and they call them negative attributes of negation, and it is negation, and there is no problem in calling them negative, though some people stopped and said: we do not call them negative, but we say they are negated. So we say: as long as the negation in language means negation; the difference is in wording and does not hinder.
