تَجِدُهَاyou find herتَحِنُlongsعَلَىforوَلَدِهَاher childوَإِذَاand ifجَاءَهَاcomes to herأَحَدٌanyoneفِيinجُحْرِهَاher burrowمَعَwithأَوْلَادِهَاher children
You find her longing for her child, and if anyone comes to her in her burrow with her children;
تَرْمِيshe throws herselfنَفْسَهَاherselfعَلَيْهِon himفَتَدَافَعَand defendsعَنْهُمْthemحَتَّىuntilتَرُدُّهُrepel himعَنْfromأَوْلَادِهَاher children
She throws herself on him, defending them until she repels him from her children.
وَقَدْAnd it hasدَلَّindicatedعَلَىonثُبُوتِthe establishmentرَحْمَةِof mercyاللَّهِGodتَعَالَىthe Exalted::الْكِتَابَthe Bookوَandالسُّنَّةَthe Sunnahوَالْإِجْمَاعَand the consensus،,وَالْعَقْلَand reason
And it has indicated the establishment of God's mercy: the Book, the Sunnah, the consensus, and reason.
فَأَمَّاAs forالْكِتَابَthe Book؛;فَجَاءَit has comeبِهِwith itإِثْبَاتِestablishingالرَّحْمَةَthe mercyعَلَىonوُجُوهٍdifferent formsمُتَنَوِّعَةٍvariedتَارَةًsometimesبِالِاسْمِby nameكَlikeقَوْلِهِhis saying﴿[وَهُوَand He isالْغَفُورُthe All-Forgivingالرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful﴾]
As for the Book; it has come with establishing mercy in different forms sometimes by name, like His saying: "And He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful".
وَتَارَةًAnd sometimesبِالِصِّفَةِby attribute؛;كَlikeقَوْلِهِhis saying﴿[وَرَبُّكَand your Lordالْغَفُورُthe All-Forgivingذُوhasالرَّحْمَةِthe mercy﴾]
And sometimes by attribute; like His saying: "And your Lord is the All-Forgiving, has mercy."
وَتَارَةًAnd sometimesبِالْفِعْلِby action؛;كَlikeقَوْلِهِhis sayingا( يُعَذِّبُHe punishesمَنwhoيَشَاءُHe willsوandيَرْحَمُHe has mercyمَنwhoيَشَاءُHe wills))﴾[الْعَنْكَبُوتِthe Spider::٢١21﴾]
And sometimes by action; like His saying: "He punishes whom He wills, and has mercy on whom He wills."
وَتَارَةًAnd sometimesبِاسْمِby the nameالتَّفْضِيلِof preference؛;كَlikeقَوْلِهِhis saying﴿[وَهُوَAnd He isأَرْحَمُthe most mercifulالرَّاحِمِينَof the merciful﴾]
And sometimes in the name of preference; like His saying: "And He is the most merciful of the merciful."
وَبِمِثْلِAnd likeهَذِهِthisالْوُجُوهِforms. ....جَاءَتcameالسُّنَّةُthe Sunnah
And like these forms... the Sunnah came.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forالأَدِلَّةَthe evidencesالْعَقْلِيَّةَof reasonعَلَىonثُبُوتِthe affirmationالرَّحْمَةِof mercyلِلَّهِfor Godتَعَالَىthe Exalted::فَمِنْهَاAmong themمَاwhatنَرَىwe seeمِنَfromالْخَيْرَاتِthe good thingsكَثِيرَةٍmanyالَّتِيthatتَحَصَّلُoccur byبِأَمْرِby the commandاللَّهِof Godعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almighty and Exalted،,وَمِنْهَاand among themمَاwhatنَرَىwe seeمِنَofالنِّقَمِthe vicissitudesكَثِيرَةٍmanyالَّتِيthatتَنْدَفِعُare repelledبِأَمْرِby the commandاللَّهِof God؛;كُلُّهَاall of itدَالَّةٌindicativeعَلَىonإِثْبَاتِthe affirmationالرَّحْمَةِof mercyعَقْلاًby reason
And as for the rational evidences of the affirmation of the mercy of God, among them is what we see from the many good things that occur by the command of God the Almighty and Exalted, and among them is what we see of the many vicissitudes that are repelled by the command of God; all of it indicates the affirmation of mercy by reason.
فَالْنَّاسُSo peopleفِيinالْجَدْبِfamineوَفِيand inالْقَحْطِdrought
So people are in famine and in drought;
الْأَرْضُthe landمَجْدَبَةٌis barren،,وَالسَّمَاءُand the skyقَاحِطَةٌis dry؛;لَاnoمَطَرٌrain،,وَلَاand noنَبَاتٌvegetationفَيُنَزِّلُthen He sends downاللَّهُGodالْمَطَرَthe rain،,وَتُنْبِتُand the earth brings forthالأَرْضُthe land،,وَتَشْبَعُand the livestock are satisfiedالْأَنْعَامُthe livestock،,وَيُسْقِيand watersالنَّاسَthe people....حَتَّىuntilالْعَامِّيَthe uneducatedالَّذِيwhoلَمْdid notيَدْرُسْstudy،,لَوْifسَأَلْتَهُyou ask himوَقُلْتَand say::هَذَاthisمِنْfromأَيِّwhatشَيْءٍ؟thing?فَسَيَقُولُhe will say::هَذَاthisمِنْfromرَحْمَةِmercyاللَّهِGodوَلَاand noيَشُكُّdoubtأَحَدٌanyoneفِيinهَذَاthisأَبَدًاever
The land is barren, and the sky is dry; there is no rain, and there is no vegetation, then God sends down the rain, and the earth brings forth, and the livestock are satisfied, and waters the people... until the uneducated who did not study, if you ask him and say: "This is from what thing?" he will say: "This is from the mercy of God" and no one doubts in this ever.
