وَعَلَىAnd onهَذَا؛this;فَيَكُونُit would beالْوَعِيدُthe threatهُنَاhereبِاعتبارِregardingالْمَالِ؛the money;لِأَنَّهُbecause itيَخْشَىfearsأَنْthatيَكُونَit isهَذَاthisالْقَتْلُkillingسَبَبًاa reasonلِكُفْرِهِfor his disbeliefوَحِينَئِذٍand thenيَمُوتُhe diesعَلَىonالْكُفْرِ،disbelief,فَيَخْلُدُ.he remains.

And on this; it would be a threat here regarding the money; because it fears that this killing might be a reason for his disbelief and then he dies in disbelief, hence he will remain.

فَيَكُونُit would beفِيinهَذِهِthisالْآيَةُverseعَلَىonهَذَاthisالتَّقْدِيرُestimation;ذُكِرَmentionسَبَبٌreasonالسَّبَبُ؛the reason;عَمْدًاdeliberatelyلِأَنَّهُbecauseيَمُوتُhe diesالإِنْسَانُa personعَلَىonالْكُفْرِ،disbelief,وَالْكُفْرُand disbeliefسَبَبٌis a reasonفَالْقَتْلُso the killingسَبَبٌis a reasonلِلْتَّخْلِيدِfor eternal lifeفِيinالنَّارِ.the fire.

So it would be that in this verse, on this estimation, it mentions the reason for the reason; deliberately, because a person dies in disbelief, and disbelief is a reason so killing is a reason for eternal life in the fire.

وَأَظُنُّAnd I thinkهَذَاthisإِذَاifتَأَمَّلَهُhe contemplatesالإِنْسَانُ؛a person;يَجِدُhe findsأَنَّهُthat itلَيْسَis notفِيهِin itإِشْكَالٌ.problem.

And I think that if a person contemplates this; he will find that there is no problem in it.

The fifth aspect: that what is meant by eternity is long remaining, and not perpetual staying; because in the Arabic language, eternity is used for long staying as it is said: so and so is eternal in the prison; and the prison is not perpetual.

وَيَقُولُونَAnd they sayفُلانٌso and soخَالِدٌis eternalخُلُودٌin eternityالْجِبَالُthe mountainsوَمَعْلُومٌand it is knownأَنْthatالْجِبَالَthe mountainsنَسْفًاwill be razedفَيَذَرُهَاand it will leave themقَاعًاas a flat landصَفْصَفًا.level.

And they say: so and so is eternal in eternity of the mountains; and it is known that the mountains will be razed, and it will leave them, a flat land level.

My Lord will raze it. And this is also an easy answer; it does not need trouble; so we say: Indeed, God, the Glorious and Majestic, did not mention eternity; He did not say: eternally in it, but He said: eternal in it, and the meaning is: that he will stay for a long time.

The sixth aspect: that it is said that indeed this is from the category of threats, and the threat is permissible to go back on it; because it is a transition from justice to generosity.
