ضَعِيفٌ،weak,وَاعْتِمَادُنَاand our relianceفِيinعَقِيدَتِنَاour creedهَذِهِthisعَلَىonالْحَدِيثِthe hadithالصَّحِيحِ؛the authentic;حَدِيثِthe hadithالدَّجَّالِ؛of the Antichrist;لِأَنَّهُbecause it isوَاضِحٌclearلِمَنْto whoeverتَأَمَّلَهُ.contemplates it.
Weak, and our reliance in this creed of ours is on the authentic hadith; the hadith of the Antichrist; because it is clear to whoever contemplates it.
وَلَقَدْAnd indeedذَكَرَmentionedذَلِكَthatعُثْمَانُUthmanابْنُson ofسَعِيدٍSaeedالدَّرَامِيُّAl-Daramiرَحِمَهُmay Allah have mercy on himفِيinرَدِّهِhis responseعَلَىtoبَشَرٍBasharالْمُرِّيِّ،the Murri,وَكَذَلِكَand likewiseأَيْضًاalsoذَكَرَهُmentioned itابْنُIbnخُزَيْمَةَKhuzaimaفِيinكِتَابِthe bookالتَّوحِيدِ،of Tawhid,”وَذَكَرَand mentioned alsoأَيْضًاalsoإِجْمَاعَthe consensusالسَّلَفِof the early generationsعَلَىonذَلِكَthatأَبُوAbuالْحَسَنِAl-HassanالأشعريُّAl-Ash'ari;رَحِمَهُmay Allah have mercy on himوَأَبُوand AbuبَكْرٍBakar;الْبَاقِلَانِيُّ،Al-Baqalani,وَالْأَمْرُand the matterفِيinهَذَاthisوَاضِحٌ.is clear.
And indeed, Uthman bin Saeed Al-Darami, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned that in his response to Bashar Al-Murri; likewise, Ibn Khuzaima also mentioned it in his book of Tawhid, and it was also mentioned by Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ash'ari; may Allah have mercy on him, and Abu Bakr Al-Baqalani, and the matter in this is clear.
فَعَقِيدَتُنَاSo our creedالَّتِيwhichنَدِينُwe oweلِلَّهِto Allahبِهَاwith itأَنْis thatاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىExaltedعَيْنَيْنِtwo eyes,اثْنَتَيْنِ،two,لَاnotزِيَادَةٌ.more.
So our creed, which we owe to Allah with it, is that Allah, Exalted, has two eyes, no more.
فَإِنْIf it is said:قِيلَit is said::إِنَّthat ifمِنَofالسَّلَفِthe early generationsمِنْofفَأَسَرُّواinterpretedقَوْلَهُHis sayingتَعَالَى:the Exalted:﴿﴿بِأَعْيُنِنَاwith Our own eyes;بِقَوْلِهِ:by saying:بِمَرَأًىby sightمِنَّا.from us.فَفَسَّرُواThey interpreted itبِذَلِكَby this
If it is said: that some of the early generations interpreted His saying, the Exalted: ﴿with Our own eyes;﴾ by saying: by sight from us.
فَقَدْHowever,فَفَسَّرُواthey interpretedاللاَزِمَthe inferredمَعَwithإِثْبَاتِestablishingالأَصْلِ،the basis,وَهِيَand that isالْعَيْنُ،the eye,وَأَهْلُand the peopleالتَّحْرِيفِof distortionيَقُولُونَthey sayبِمَرَأًىby sightمِنَّا؛from us;بِدُونِwithoutإِثْبَاتِestablishingالْعَيْنِthe eye.
However, they interpreted the inferred with establishing the basis, which is the eye, while the people of distortion say just by sight from us; without establishing the eye.
وَأَهْلُAnd the peopleالسُّنَّةِof the Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the communityيَقُولُونَsay﴿﴿بِأَعْيُنِنَاwith Our own eyes,بِمَرَأًىby sightمِنَّا،from us,مَعَwhileإِثْبَاتِestablishingالْعَيْنِ.the eye.
And the people of the Sunnah and the community say: ﴿with Our own eyes, by sight from us, while establishing the eye.
لَكِنَّButذِكْرَthe mention ofالْعَيْنِthe eyeهُنَاhereأَشَدُّis more emphaticتَوْكِيدًاin affirmationوَعِنَايَةًand focus
But the mention of the eye here is more emphatic in affirmation and focus,
وَلِهَذَاand for thisقَالَHe said:﴿﴿فَإِنَّكَIndeed, youبِأَعْيُنِنَاwith Our own eyes;)فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا)Indeed, you with Our own eyes;.))
and for this, He said: ﴿Indeed, you with Our own eyes;﴾
قَالَتْThe refuters said:الْمُعَطِّلَةُthe disbelievers,أَجْلَبْتُمْbrought upon usعَلَيْنَاupon usبِالْخَيْلِwith horsesوَالْرِّجَالِand menفِيinإِنْكَارِكُمْyour denialعَلَيْنَاagainst usالتَّأْوِيلِ،the interpretation,وَأَنْتُمْand youأَوَّلَتُمْinterpretedفَأَخْرَجْتُمْso you removedالْآيَةَthe verseعَنْfromظَاهِرِهَا؛its apparent meaning;فَاللَّهُFor Allahيَقُولُ:says:(٥٥٣ - كَشْفُ الْأَستَارِ)(553 - Exposing the Veils)
The refuters said: the disbelievers, you brought upon us with horses and men in your denial against us in the interpretation, and you interpreted it so you removed the verse from its apparent meaning; for Allah says: (553 - Exposing the Veils).
