What they mentioned and obliged us with is not refutable in the Arabic language; let alone to be added to the Lord, the Exalted and Glorified. Adding it to the Lord is an evident disbelief, and it is a denial in language, law, and reason.

فَإِنIf thenقِيلَit was said:بِمَاذَاWhat do you interpretتُفَسِّرُونَyou explainالْبَاءَthe preposition 'b'فِيinقَوْلِهِ:his saying:﴿[بِأَعْيُنِنَا؟With Our Eyes?قُلْنَا:We said:نُفَسِّرُهَاWe interpret itبِالْمُصَاحِبَةِas accompanimentإِذَاIfقُلْتَyou sayأَنْتَyouبِعَيْنِي؛by my eyes;يَعْنِي:that means:أَنْthatعَيْنِيmy eyeتُصَاحِبُكَaccompanies youوَتَنظُرُand looks at you,لَاnotتَنْفَكُّdetached from you;فَالْمَعْنَى:So the meaning is:أَنْthatاللَّهَAllahعَزَّExaltedوَجَلَّand Glorifiedيَقُولُsaysلِنَبِيِّهِ:to His Prophet:اصْبِرْBe patientلِحُكْمِfor the decreeاللَّهِ؛of Allah;فَإِنَّكَfor youمُحَاطٌsurroundedبِعِنَايتِنَاwith our careوَبِرَؤْيَتِنَاand our watching youلَكَfor youبِالْعَيْنِby the eyeحَتَّىuntilلَاnotيَنَالَكَyou harmأَحَدٌanyoneبِسُوءٍ.with evil.

If it is said: What do you explain the preposition 'b' in His saying: ﴿With Our Eyes? We say: We explain it as accompaniment if you say: 'by my eyes; meaning: that my eyes accompany you and look at you, not detached from you; so the meaning is: Allah, Exalted and Glorified, says to His Prophet: Be patient for the decree of Allah; for you are surrounded by our care and our watching you by the eye until no one can harm you with evil.

وَلَاAnd notيُوْمِنُit canأَنْthatتَكُونَbeالْبَاءُthe preposition 'b'هُنَاhere;لِلظَّرْفِيَّةِ؛for locality;لِأَنَّهَاbecause itيَقْتَضِيrequires thatأَنْ تَكُونَthere isرَسُولٌa Messengerاللَّهِ ﷺthe Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)فِيinعَيْنِthe eyeاللَّهِ،of Allah,وَهَذَاand thisمُحَالٌ.is impossible.

And it cannot be that the preposition 'b' here is for locality; because it requires that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ be in the eye of Allah, and this is impossible.

وَأَيْضًا؛And also;فَإِنَّifرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِ ﷺof Allah (peace be upon him)خُوطِبَwas addressedبِذَلِكَwith that whileوَهُوَand he isفِيinالْأَرْضِ؛the earth;فَإِذَاIf you say:قُلْتُمْ:you said:إِنَّهُthat heكَانَwasفِيinعَيْنِthe eyeاللَّهِof Allahكَانَتْit would beدَلَالَةًa proofالْقُرْآنِthe Quranكَذِبًَا.a lie.

And also; if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was addressed with that while he was on earth; then if you said: that he was in the eye of Allah, it would be a proof of Quranic denial.

And this is another aspect in the invalidity of the claim that the apparent meaning of the Quran is that the Messenger is in the eye of Allah, the Most High.
