وَأَضَلَّهُAnd misled himاللَّهُAllahعَلَىuponعِلَّتِهِHis error
And Allah misled him on account of his error.
قَوْلُهُHis statement::لِيَكُونَAnd beلِلْعَالَمِينَto the worldsنَذِيرًاa warner
His statement: And be a warner to the worlds.
الْلَّامُThe letter (l)هُنَاhereلِلْتَّعْلِيلِ،for the reason,
The letter (l) here is for the reason,
وَالضَّمِيرُAnd the pronounفِيinلِيَكُونَto be))عَائِدٌreturnedعَلَىtoالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetعَلَيْهِupon himالصَّلَاةَprayerوَالسَّلَامَ؛and peace;لِأَنَّهُbecause heأَقْرَبُis closestمَذْكُورٍ،mentioned,
And the pronoun in 'to be' returns to the Prophet (peace be upon him) because he is the closest mentioned.
وَلَأَنَّAnd becauseاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Most Highقَالَsaid::لِتُنذِرَto warnبِهِby it﴾(الأعراف:Al-A'raf:٢2
And because Allah, the Most High, said: to warn by it (Al-A'raf: 2)
وَقَالَAnd He saidتَعَالَىthe Most High::لَأُنذِرَكُمْto warn youبِهِby itوَمَنْand whoeverبَلَغَreaches
And He, the Most High, said: to warn you by it and whoever reaches it.
