وَالشَّاهِدُAnd the witnessقَوْلُهُ:his saying:﴿﴿بَلْIndeedرَفَعَهُHe raised himاللَّهُAllahإِلَيْهِ؛to Him;فَإِنَّهُfor indeedصَرِيحٌexplicitبِأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىthe Exaltedعَالٍis highبِذَاتِهِ؛in His essence;إِذْforالرَّفْعَthe elevationإِلَىtoالشَّيْءِthe thingيَسْتَلْزِمُentailsعُلُوهُ.His being high.
And the witness is His saying: "Indeed, Allah raised him to Him; for indeed, it is explicit that Allah, the Exalted, is high in His essence; for the elevation to a thing entails His being high.
الْآيَةُThe verseالثَّالِثَةُthird::قَوْلُهُ:His saying:﴿﴿إِلَيْهِto Himيَصْعَدُascendsالْكَلِمُthe good wordsالطَّيِّبَةُthe goodوَالْعَمَلُand the righteous deedالصَّالِحُthe righteousيَرْفَعُهُraises it))[فَاطِر:[Fatir:١٠].10].
The verse is: "To Him ascend the good words, and the righteous deed raises it up." [Fatir: 10].
كَلِمَةٌ،The word,إِلَيْهِto Him::إِلَىtoاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ.the Mighty and Exalted.
The word: "to Him", referring to Allah, the Mighty and Exalted.
﴿﴿يَصْعَدُascendsالْكَلِمُthe wordsالطَّيِّبَةُthe good﴾﴾وَandالْكَلِمُthe wordsهُنَاhereاِسْمٌnameجَمْعٌ،plural,مُفْرَدٌits singular formوَجَمْعٌand pluralكَلِمَةٌwordكَلِمَاتٌwordsوَالْكَلِمُand the wordالطَّيِّبُgoodيَشْمَلُincludesكُلَّeveryكَلِمَةٍwordيَتَقَرَّبُthat brings one closerبِهَاby itإِلَىtoاللَّهِ؛Allah;كَـقِرَاءَةٍlike readingالْقُرْآنِthe Qur'anوَandالذِّكْرِthe remembranceوَandالْعِلْمِknowledgeوَandالْأَمْرِcommandingبِالْمَعْرُوفِthat which is goodوَandالنَّهْيِforbiddingعَنْfromالْمُنْكَرِ؛the wrong;فَكُلُّSo everyكَلِمَةٍwordتَقَرَّبَتْthat brings closerإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ؛the Mighty and Exalted;فَهِيَit isكَلِمَةٌwordطَيِّبَةٌ،good,تَصْعَدُascendsإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ،the Mighty and Exalted,وَتَصِلُand reachesإِلَيْهِ،to Him,وَالْعَمَلُand the righteous deedالصَّالِحُthe righteousيَرْفَعُهُraises itاللَّهُAllahإِلَيْهِto Himأَيْضًا.also.
The word 'words' here is a collective noun; its singular form is 'word' and the plural is 'words'. The good word includes every word that brings one closer to Allah; such as reading the Qur'an, invoking Allah, knowledge, commanding good and forbidding wrong; so every word that brings one closer to Allah, it is a good word that ascends to Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, and reaches Him, and the righteous deed raises it to Allah too.
فَالكَلِمَاتُSo the wordsتَصْعَدُascendإِلَىtoاللَّهِ،Allah,وَالْعَمَلُand the righteous deedالصَّالِحُthe righteousيَرْفَعُهُraises itاللَّهُ،Allah,وَهَذَاand thisيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىthatأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahعَالٍis highبِذَاتِهِ؛in His essence;لِأَنَّbecauseالأَشْيَاءَthe thingsتَصْعَدُascendإِلَيْهِto Himوَتُرْفَعُ.and are raised.
So the words ascend to Allah, and the righteous deed raises it to Allah, and this indicates that Allah is high in His essence; because the things ascend to Him and are raised.
الْآيَةُThe verseالرَّابِعَةُfourth::قَوْلُهُ:His saying:﴿﴿يَهَمَنُHaman saidابْنِto buildلِيfor meصَرْحًاa lofty structureلَّعَلِّيthat perhaps Iأَبْلُغُmay reachالْأَسْبَبَthe meansأَسْبَبَthe meansالسَّمَوَاتِof the heavens;فَأَطَّلِعَso I can lookإِلَىtoإِلَهِthe God ofمُوسَىMoses;وَإِنِّيand indeed IلَأَظُنُّهُI suspectكَذِبًاa lie" [Ghafir: 36][غَافِر[Ghafir::٣٦36
The verse is: "Haman said, 'Build for me a lofty structure, that perhaps I may reach the means of the heavens; so I can look at the God of Moses; and indeed, I suspect Him to be a lie.'" [Ghafir: 36]
هَامَانُHamanوَزِيرُthe ministerفِرْعَوْنَof Pharaohوَالْأَمْرُand the orderبِالْبِنَاءِof buildingفِرْعَوْنُ.Pharaoh.
Haman, the minister of Pharaoh, and the order of building is from Pharaoh.
صَرْحًا؛A lofty structure;أَيْ:that is:بِنَاءًa buildingعَالِيًا.high.
A lofty structure; that is, a high building.
لَعَلَّىPerhaps Iأَبْلُغُmay reachالْأَسْبَابَthe meansأَسْبَبَthe meansالسَّمَوَاتِof the heavens;يَعْنِي :meaning: لَعَلِّيperhaps Iأَبْلُغُmay reachالطُّرُقَthe pathsالَّتِيthatتُوَصِّلُleadإِلَىtoالسَّمَاءِ.the sky.
Perhaps I may reach the means of the heavens; meaning, perhaps I may reach the paths that lead to the sky.
