عَصَانِيHe disobeyed meحَارَبْتُهُI fought himوَيُحَارِبُAnd he fightsالنَّاسَthe peopleبِهَذَاwith thisالدِّينِreligion، وَيَسْتَبِيحُ, and he permitsدِمَاءَهُمْtheir bloodوَأَمْوَالَهُمْand their moneyوَنِسَائَهُمْand their womenوَذُرِّيَّتَهُمْand their offspring، وَهُوَ, and he isفِيinذَٰلِكَthatمَنْصُورٌsupportedمُؤَزَّرٌstrengthenedغَالِبٌovercomingغَيْرُnotمَغْلُوبٌdefeated
He disobeyed me, I fought him, and he fights people with this religion, and he permits their blood, their money, their women, and their offspring, and he is supported, strengthened, and overcoming, not defeated.
فَهَٰذَاThis isالتَّمْكِينُthe empowermentلَهُfor himفِيinالأَرْضِthe earth؛;أَيْthat isتَمْكِينempowermentاللَّهُof Godلِرَسُولِهِfor His Messengerفِيinالأَرْضِthe earth::شَهَادَةٌa testimonyمِنَfromاللَّهِGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almighty and Exaltedفِعْلِيَّةٌactualبِأَنَّهُthat heصَادِقٌis truthful، وَأَنَّ, and thatدِينَهُhis religionحَقٌّis true؛;
This is the empowerment for him in the earth; that is the empowerment of God for His Messenger in the earth: a testimony from God, the Almighty and Exalted, that he is truthful and that his religion is true;
لَأَنَّBecauseكُلَّeveryمَنْwhoeverافْتَرَىfalsifiedعَلَىagainstاللَّهِGodكَذِبًاa lie;؛;فَمَالُهُthen hisالْخِذْلَانِfailureوَالزَّوَالِand disappearanceوَالْعَدَمِand non-existence، وَانْظُرْ, and lookإِلَىatالَّذِينَthose whoادَّعَوْاclaimedالنُّبُوَّةَprophethoodمَاذَاwhatكَانَwasمَالُهُمْ؟their fate?أَنْthatنَسُواthey forgotوَأَهْلَكُواand were destroyed;
Because whoever falsifies against God with a lie, then his fate is failure, disappearance, and non-existence; and look at those who claimed prophethood, what was their fate? They were forgotten and destroyed;
كَمُسَيْلَمَةَlike Musaylamahالْكَذَّابِthe liar,,وَالْأَسْوَدُand Al-Aswadالْعَنْسِيِّthe Ansari......وَغَيْرَهُمْand othersمِمَّنْfrom those whoادَّعَوْاclaimedالنُّبُوَّةَprophethood، كُلُّهُمْall of themتَلَاشُواvanishedوَبَانَand it became clearبُطْلَانُthe falsehoodقَوْلِهِمof their claimsوَحُرِمُواand they were deprived ofالصَّوَابَthe truthوَالسَّدَادَand guidance;
like Musaylamah the liar, and Al-Aswad the Ansari, and others who claimed prophethood, all of them vanished and it became clear the falsehood of their claims and they were deprived of the truth and guidance;
لَكِنَّButهَذَاthisالنَّبِيَّthe ProphetمُحَمَّدًاMuhammadعَلَىonالْعَكْسِthe contrary,دَعْوَتَهَاhis callإِلَىtoالْآنَnowوَالْحَمْدُand praiseلِلَّهِto God;بَاقِيَةٌremainsوَنَسْأَلُAnd we askاللَّهَGodأَنْtoيُثَبِّتَنَاmake us steadfastوَإِيَّاكُمْand youعَلَيْهَاon it;دَعْوَتَهَاits callإِلَىtoالْآنَnowبَاقِيَةٌremainsوَإِلَىand untilأَنْthatتَقُومَrisesالسَّاعَةَthe Hourثَابِتَةًsteadfastرَاسِخَةً؛deep-rooted;
But this Prophet Muhammad, on the contrary, his call remains until now, and praise be to God; we ask God to make us steadfast on it, his call remains until now, and until the Hour rises, steadfast and deep-rooted;
يُسْتَحَلُّis permittedبِدَعْوَتِهِby his callإِلَىtoالْيَوْمِtodayدِمَاءُbloodمِنْof whoeverنَاوَأَهَاopposed itمِنَfromالْكَافِرِينَthe disbelieversوَأَمْوَالَهُمْand their money، وَتُسْبَىand their women are captured;
is permitted by his call to today the blood of whoever has opposed it from the disbelievers, and their money; and their women are captured;
هَذِهِThisالشَّهَادَةُtestimonyفِعْلِيَّةٌis actual;مَاwhatأَخَذَهُHe took itاللَّهُ؛God;وَلَاnorفَضَحَهُexposed it;وَلَاnorكَذَّبَهُdenied it;، وَلِهَذَا, and for this reasonجَاءَتْit has comeبَعْدَafterقَوْلِهِHis statement::لِيُظْهِرَهُto manifest itعَلَىagainstالدِّينِthe religionكُلِّهِentirely;
This testimony is actual; what God took; nor did He expose it; nor did He deny it, and for this reason it has come after His statement: to manifest it against the entire religion;
وَذُرِّيَّتَهُمْAnd their offspringقَوْلُهُHis statementوَأَشْهَدُand I testifyأَنْthatلَا إِلَهَthere is no deityإِلَّاexceptاللَّهَ;God;وَحْدَهُalone;لَاnoشَرِيكَpartnerلَهُ؛for Him;إِقْرَارًاAn affirmationبِهِof itوَتَوْحِيدًاand a declaration of oneness.
His statement: and I testify that there is no deity except God; alone; He has no partner; an affirmation of it and a declaration of oneness.
لِمَاAsرَوَاهُreportedالْبُخَارِيُّAl-Bukhari(٢٥)(25)،,وَمُسْلِمٌand Muslim(٢٢)(22)؛;عَنْonابْنِIbnعُمَرَUmarرَضِيَmay God be pleased with them::أَنَّthatرَسُولَthe Messengerاللَّهِof God ﷺPeace be upon himقَالَ:said:أُومِرْتُI was commandedأَنْtoأُقَاتِلَfightالنَّاسَthe peopleحَتَّىuntilيَشْهَدُواthey testifyأَنْthatلَاthere is noإِلَهَdeityإِلَّاexceptاللَّهَGodوَأَنْand thatمُحَمَّدًاMuhammadرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِ;of God;وَيُقِيمُواand they establishالصَّلَاةَthe prayerوَيُؤْتُواand they giveالزَّكَاةَ؛the zakat;فَإِنْifفَعَلُواthey doذَٰلِكَthatعَصِمُواthey are protectedمِنِّيfrom meدِمَاءَهُمْtheir bloodوَأَمْوَالَهُمْand their money;إِلَّاexceptبِحَقِّby the rightالإِسْلَامِof Islamوَحِسَابَهُمْand their accountingعَلَىonاللَّهِ.God.
As reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them: The Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said: "I was commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no deity except God and that Muhammad is His Messenger, and they establish the prayer and give the zakat; if they do that, they are protected from me, their blood and their money, except by the right of Islam, and their accounting is upon God."
