  • وَتَزَوُّجِهِand his marriageهُنَاكَ،there,
  • And his marriage there,

  • وَمُشَاهَدَتِهِand his witnessingالنَّارَthe fireعَلَىuponالشَّجَرَةِthe tree
  • and his witnessing of the fire upon the tree

  • وَسَمَاعِand hearingالْكَلامِthe speechمِنْهَا.from it.
  • and hearing the speech from it.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofذَبْحِslaughteringالْبَقَرَةِ.the cow.
  • - And the story of slaughtering the cow.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofلِقَاءِmeetingمُوسَىMosesمَعَwithالْخَضِرِAl-Khidr- عَلَيْهِمَا- upon both of themالسَّلامُ.be peace.
  • - And the story of the meeting of Moses with Al-Khidr - peace be upon them both.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofطَالُوتَSaulوَجَالُوتَ.and Goliath.
  • - And the story of Saul and Goliath.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofبِلْقِيسَBilqis(مَلِكَةِ(Queenسَبَأٍ) .of Sheba) .
  • - And the story of Bilqis (Queen of Sheba).

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofذِيDhuالْقَرْنَيْنِ.Al-Qarnayn.
  • - And the story of Dhu Al-Qarnayn.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofأَصْحَابِthe companionsالْكَهْفِ.of the Cave.
  • - Andერ the story of the Companions of the Cave.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofالرَّجُلَيْنِthe two menالْمُحَاوِرَيْنِwho conversed
  • - And the story of the two conversing men

  • (أَحَدُهُمَا(one of themيَعْتَزُّtakes prideبِمَاin whatلَهُhe hasمِنْofمَالٍwealthوَبَنِينَand sonsوَجَنَّاتٍand gardensمِنْofأَعْنَابٍ،grapes,
  • (one of them taking pride in what he has of wealth, sons, and gardens of grapes,

  • وَالْآخَرُand the otherقَلِيلُlittleالْمَالِin wealthوَلَكِنَّهُbut heيَذْكُرُهُremembers Himبِاللَّهِwith Allah- تَعَالَى -- Exalted is He -وَنِعْمَتَهُand His favorوَشُكْرَهُand gratitude to Himوَالْآخِرَةَ) .and the Hereafter) .
  • and the other having little wealth, but he remembers Allah - the Exalted - His favor, gratitude, and the Hereafter).

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofأَصْحَابِthe companionsالْجَنَّةِof the Garden
  • - And the story of the Companions of the Garden

  • (الَّذِينَ(whoأَرَادُواwantedأَنْtoيَحْرِمُواdepriveالْفُقَرَاءَthe poorالْمَسَاكِينَand the needyمِنْofعَطَايَاهُمْtheir sharesوَصَدَقَاتِand the charitiesأَمْوَالِهِمْ،of their wealth,
  • (who wanted to deprive the poor and needy of their shares and the charity of their wealth,

  • فَرَجَعُواso they returnedمَحْرُومِينَdeprivedوَالْجَنَّةُwhile the gardenخَاوِيَةٌwas ruinedعَلَىuponعُرُوشِهَا)its trellises)
  • so they returned deprived while the garden was ruined upon its trellises)

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofالرُّسُلِthe messengersالثَّلاثَةِthreeالَّذِينَwhomبَعَثَهُمْsentسَيِّدُنَاour masterعِيسَىJesus- عَلَيْهِ- upon himالسَّلامُ -be peace -لِدَعْوَتِهِ،to his call,
  • - And the story of the three messengers whom our master Jesus - peace be upon him - sent for his call,

  • وَأَعْتَدَىand assaultedعَلَيْهِمُthemالْكُفَّارُthe disbelieversوَقَتَلُوهُمْ.and killed them.
  • and the disbelievers assaulted them and killed them.

  • - وَقِصَّةِ- And the story ofأَصْحَابِthe companionsالْفِيلِ،of the Elephant,
  • - And the story of the Companions of the Elephant,

  • وَغَيْرِand otherذَلِكَ.than that.
  • and other than that.
