خَيْرٌgood..وَأَضْدَادُهَاand its oppositesمِنْare amongأَكْبَرَthe greatestالأَسْبَابِcausesالْجَالِبَةِthat bringلِكُلِّfor everyشَرٍّevil.
Good and its opposites are among the greatest causes that bring forth every evil.
فَمَاSoاسْتَجْلَبَتْthe bounties ofنِعْمَةَthe blessingsاللَّهِof Allahوَاسْتُدْفِعَتْand avertedنِقَمُهُHis punishmentsبِمَثْلِby obedience toطَاعَتِهِHis command,,وَالْتَّقَرُّبِand drawing closerإِلَيْهِto Him,,وَالْإِحْسَانِand doing goodإِلَىtoخَلْقِهِHis creation.
So the blessings of Allah are brought forth and His punishments are averted by obedience to Him, drawing closer to Him, and doing good to His creation.
وَقَدْAndرَتَّبَarrangedاللَّهُAllahسُبْحَانَهُthe Exaltedحُصُولَthe attainment ofالْخَيْرَاتِgood thingsفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldوَالْآخِرَةِand the Hereafter(۱)(1)وَحُصُولَand the attainment ofالشُّرُورِevilsفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldوَالْآخِرَةِand the Hereafter(۲)(2)فِيinكِتَابِهِHis Bookعَلَىbased onالأَعْمَالِthe actions,تَرْتِيبَthe arrangement(۳)(3)الْجَزَاءَof rewardعَلَىbased onالشَّرْطِthe conditionوَالْمَعْلُولِand the effectعَلَىbased onالْعِلَّةِthe causeوَالْمُسَبِّبِand the causeعَلَىbased onالسَّبَبِthe reason.
And Allah, the Exalted, has arranged the attainment of good things in this world and the Hereafter (1) and the attainment of evils in this world and the Hereafter (2) in His Book based on actions, the arrangement (3) of the reward based on the condition and the effect based on the cause and the cause based on the reason.
وَهَذَاAnd thisفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranيَزِيدُincreasesعَلَىto more thanأَلْفٍa thousandمَوْضِعٍplaces(٤)(4)
And this in the Quran increases to more than a thousand places (4).
فَتَارَةًAt timesيُرَتِّبُHe arrangesالْحُكْمَthe rulingالْخَبَرِيَّof reportedالْكَوْنِيِّcosmic andوَالْأَمْرِيِّthe legislative(٥)(5)الشَّرْعِيِّon the corresponding descriptionعَلَىbased onالْوَصْفِthe descriptionالْمُنَاسِبِsuitable for it,كَمَاasقَوْلُهُHis sayingتَعَالَىthe Most High::﴿فَلَمَّاSo whenعَتَوْاthey transgressedعَنْagainstمَاwhatنُهُواthey were prohibitedعَنْهُfrom,قُلْنَاWe saidلَهُمْto them,كُونُواbeقِرَدَةًmonkeysخَاسِئِينَdisgraced.﴾[الأَعْرَافِ[Al-A'raf(١٦٦](166],,وَقَوْلُهُand His saying::﴿فَلَمَّاSo whenءَاسَفُونَاthey angered UsأَنْتَقَمْنَاWe took revengeمِنْهُمْagainst them.﴾[الزُّخْرُفِ[Az-Zukhruf//
At times, He arranges the reported cosmic and legislative ruling (5) based on the corresponding description, as His saying, the Most High: "So when they transgressed against what they were prohibited from, We said to them, 'Be monkeys disgraced.'" [Al-A'raf (166)], and His saying: 'So when they angered Us, We took revenge against them.'" [Az-Zukhruf/ 55].
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::﴿وَالسَّارِقُAnd the thiefوَالسَّارِقَةُand the female thiefفَاقْطَعُواcut offأَيْدِيَهُمَاtheir hands,,[المَائِدَةِ[Al-Ma'idah//٣٨]38],,وَقَوْلُهُand His saying::﴿إِنَّIndeedالْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslimsوَالْمُسْلِمَاتِand the Muslim women.وَالذَّاكِرِينَand the ones who rememberاللَّهَAllahكَثِيرًاmuchوَالذَّاكِرَاتِand the ones who rememberأَعَدَّAllah has preparedاللَّهُfor themلَهُمْfor themمَغْفِرَةًforgivenessوَأَجْرًاand a great rewardعَظِيمًا.
And His saying: "And the thief, male and female, cut off their hands." [Al-Ma'idah/ 38] and His saying: "Indeed, the Muslims and the Muslim women, and the ones who remember Allah much and the ones who remember, Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward." [Al-Ahzab/ 35].
وَهَذَاAnd thisكَثِيرٌis veryجِدًّاmuch.
And this is very abundant.

(1) And He arranged ...
(۲)(2)كُتِبَتْIt was writtenفِيinحَاشِيَةٍthe margin ofزZ.مُرَتَّبٌArrangedمَعَwithعَلَامَةٍa mark ofصَحَّaccuracyوَلَعَلَّهُand it may beتَقْوِيمًاa correction forلِلْعِبَارَةِthe phraseبَعْدَمَاafterسَقَطَتْit droppedأَوَّلُthe firstالْكَلَامِstatement.
(2) It was written in the margin of Z: Arranged with a mark of accuracy, and it may be a correction for the phrase after the first statement dropped.
(۳)(3)فَ:«تَرَتَّبَ 'arranged.'//(٤)(4)وَقَالَAnd he saidالْمُؤَلِّفُthe authorفِيinالْمُفَتَاحِthe introduction(۳٦٣/١):(363/1):وَلَوْIfكَانَit wereهَذَاthisفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranوَالسُّنَّةِand the Sunnahفِيفِينَحْوِapproximatelyمِئَةِone hundredمَوْضِعٍplacesأَوْorمَائَتَيْنِtwo hundredلَسَقَنَاهَاwe would have narrated them,وَلَكِنَّهُbut itيَزِيدُincreasesعَلَىto more thanأَلْفٍa thousandمَوْضِعٍplacesبِطُرُقٍwith variousمُتَنَوِّعَةٍnarrations.
(3) 'arranged.' (4) And the author said in the introduction (363/1): If this were in the Quran and the Sunnah in approximately one hundred places or two hundred, we would have narrated them, but it increases to more than a thousand places with various narrations.
(٥)(5)الأَمْرِيِّthe legislativeمِنْofزZ,وَيَبْدُوand it seemsأَنَّهُthat itكَذَاwas like thatكَانَinفF,أَيْضًاalsoثُمَّthenطُمِسَwas erased.وَفِيInغَيْرِهِمَاother textsالأَمْرُthe affair.
(5) 'the legislative' of Z, and it seems that it was like that in F also then erased. In other texts: 'the affair.'
