فَدَخَلْنَاها،So we entered it,فَتَلَقَّانَاand were met byرِجَالٌmenشَطْرٌhalfمِنْofخَلْقِهِمْtheir creationكَأَحْسَنِas the bestمَاwhatأَنْتَyouتَرَى،see,وَشَطْرٌand halfمِنْهُمْof themكَأَقْبَحِas the ugliestمَاwhatأَنْتَyouتَرَىٍ».see."

So we entered it, and were met by men, half of their creation as the best you see, and half of them as the ugliest you see.

قَالَ:He said:قَالَاThey said to him,لَهُمْ:to them:اُذْهَبُوا،Go,فَـقَعُواand fallفِيintoذَٰلِكَthatالنَّهْرِ.river.

He said: They said to him, "Go, and fall into that river."

قَالَHe said,::وَإِذَاAnd whenنَهْرٌa riverمُعْتَرِضٌblockingيَجْرِيflowsكَأَنَّas ifمَاءَهُits waterالمَحْضِpureفِيinالْبِيَاضِ.whiteness.

He said: And when a river was blocking, it flows as if its water is pure in the whiteness.

فَذَهَبُوا،So they went,فَوَقَعُواand fellفِيْهِinto itثُمَّthenرَجَعُواthey returnedإِلَيْنَاto usوَقَدْand it wasذَهَبَgoneذَٰلِكَthatالسُّوءُevilعَنْهُمْ».from them."

So they went, and fell into it, then they returned to us and that evil had gone from them."

قَالَ:He said:::قَالَاThey said to me:لِي:to me:هَذِهِThis isجَنَّةُthe Garden ofعَدْنٍ،Eden,وَهَذَاكَand that isمَنْزِلُكَ».your home."

He said: They said to me: "This is the Garden of Eden, and that is your home."

قَالَ:He said:فَصَعِدَSo my vision ascended,بَصَرِيmy sightصُعُودًا،upward,فَإِذَاand suddenlyقَصْرٌa palaceمِثْلَlikeالرَّبَابَةِthe white cloud

He said: So my vision ascended upward, and suddenly, I saw a palace like the white cloud.

قَالَ:He said:قَالَاThey said to me:لِي:to me:هَذَاكَThat isمَنْزِلُكَ».your home."

He said: They said to me: "That is your home."

قَالَ:He said: قُلْتُI saidلَهُمَا:to them:بَارَكَBlessاللَّهُGodفِيكُمَا،upon you,فَذَرْنِيso let meفَأَدْخُلَهَا.enter it.

He said: I said to them: "Bless God upon you, so let me enter it."

قَالَا:They said:أَمَّاAs forالْآنَnowفَلَا،No,وَأَنْتَand youدَاخِلُهَا».will enter it."

They said: "As for now, no, and you will enter it."

قَالَ:He said:قُلْتُI saidلَهُمَا:to them:فَإِنِّيIndeed, Iرَأَيْتُhave seenمُنذُsinceاللَّيْلَةَthe nightعَجَبًا،a wonder,فَمَاso what isهَذَاthisالَّذِيthatرَأَيْتُ؟»I saw?"

He said: I said to them: "Indeed, I have seen a wonder since last night, so what is this that I saw?"

قَالَ:He said:قَالَاThey said:أَمَاIndeed,إِنَّاwe willسَنُخْبِرُكَ:inform you:أَمَّاAs forالرَّجُلُthe manالأَوَّلُthe firstالَّذِيwhoأَتَيْتَyou encounteredعَلَيْهِhimيُتْلَغُbeing stonedرَأْسُهُhis headبِالْحِجَارَةِ،with stones,فَإِنَّهُhe isالرَّجُلُthe manيَأْخُذُwho takesالْقُرْآنَ،the Quran,فَيَرْفُضُهُ؛and rejects it; orوَيَنَامُand sleepsعَنْonالصَّلَاةِthe prayerالْمَكْتُوبَةِ.obligatory.

He said: They said: Indeed, we will inform you: As for the first man who you encountered being stoned with stones, he is the man who takes the Quran and rejects it; and he sleeps on the obligatory prayer.

وَأَمَّاAnd as forالرَّجُلُthe manالَّذِيwhoأَتَيْتَyou encounteredعَلَيْهِhimيُشَرْشَرُhis jaw is tornشَدْقَهُhis jawإِلَىtoقَفَاهُ،his nape,وَمَنْخَرَهُand his nostrilإِلَىtoقَفَاهُ،his nape,وَعَيْنِهُand his eyeإِلَىtoقَفَاهُ؛his nape;فَإِنَّهُhe isالرَّجُلُthe manيَغْدُوwho leavesمِنْfromبَيْتِهِ،his home,فَيَكْذِبُand liesالْكِذْبَةَthe lieتَبْلُغُthat reachesالْآفَاقَ.the horizons.

And as for the man who you encountered with his jaw torn to his nape, and his nostril to his nape, and his eye to his nape; he is the man who leaves from his home, and lies with a lie that reaches the horizons.

وَأَمَّاAnd as forالرِّجَالُthe menوَالنِّسَاءُand womenالْعُرَاةُthe nakedالَّذِينَwhoهُمْareفِيinمِثْلِlikeبِنَاءِthe buildingالتَّنُّورِ،of the furnace,فَإِنَّهُمْthey areالزُّنَاةُthe fornicatorوَ الزَّوَانِي .and the adulteress.

And as for the men and women who are naked, who are like the building of the furnace, they are the fornicator and the adulteress.

اللَّبَنُThe milkالْخَالِصُpureبِلَاwithoutرَغْوَةٍfrothأوorشَوْبٍwater.

The milk is pure without froth or water.
