مِنَfromعُقُوبَاتِهَاits punishmentsأَنَّهَاthat itتَجْعَلُmakesصَاحِبَهَاits ownerمِنَfromالسِّفْلَةِthe lowlyبَعْدَafterأَنْthatكَانَhe wasمُهَيَّأًpreparedلِأَنْto beيَكُونَone ofمِنَtheالْعُلْيَاءِnobles
Among its punishments is that it makes its owner from the lowly after he was prepared to be among the nobles.
فَإِنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahخَلَقَcreatedخَلْقَهُHis creationقِسْمَيْنِtwo categories::عُلْيَةَnoblesوَسَفْلَةَand lowly,,وَجَعَلَand madeعُلْيِينَthe higher onesمُسْتَقَرًّالِthe abodeالْعُلْيَاءِof the nobles,,وَأَسْفَلَand the lowestسَافِلِينَof the lowlyمُسْتَقَرًّاthe abodeالسَّفْلَةِof the lowly,,وَجَعَلَand madeأَهْلَthe peopleطَاعَتِهِof His obedienceالْأَعْلِينَthe highest onesفِيinالدُّنْيَاthis worldوَالاّٰخِرَةِand the Hereafter,,وَأَهْلَand the peopleمَعْصِيَتِهِof His disobedienceالْأَسْفَلِينَthe lowest onesفِيinالدُّنْيَاthis worldوَالاّٰخِرَةِand the Hereafter
Indeed, Allah created His creation in two categories: nobles and lowly. He made the higher ones the abode of the nobles, and the lowest the abode of the lowly. He made the people of His obedience the highest in this world and the Hereafter, and the people of His disobedience the lowest in this world and the Hereafter.
كَمَاAsجَعَلَHe madeأَهْلَthe peopleطَاعَتِهِof His obedienceأَكْرَمَthe most honorableخَلْقَهُof His creationعَلَيْهِupon Him,,وَأَهْلَand the peopleمَعْصِيَتِهِof His disobedienceأَهَوْنَthe leastخَلْقٍof His creationعَلَيْهِupon Him,,وَجَعَلَand madeالْعِزَّةَthe honorلِهَؤُلَاءِfor these,,وَ الذُّلَّand humiliationوَ الصِّغَارَand smallnessلِهَؤُلَاءِfor these
As He made the people of His obedience the most honorable of His creation, and the people of His disobedience the least of His creation. And He made honor for these, and humiliation and smallness for those.
كَمَاAsفِيinمُسْنَدِthe Musnadأَحْمَدَof Ahmad,,مِنَfromحَدِيثِthe hadithعَبْدِ اللَّهَAbdullahبِنِbinعُمَرَUmarعَنْaboutالنَّبِيِّthe Prophetﷺأَنَّهُthat heقَالَsaid::«جُعِلَ"The humiliationالذِّلَّةَand humiliationوَ الصَّغَارَand the smallnessعَلَىuponمَنwhoeverخَالَفَcontradictsأَمْرِيMy command»"
As in the Musnad of Ahmad from the hadith of Abdullah bin Umar about the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "The humiliation and the smallness are upon whoever contradicts My command."
فَكُلَّمَاSo wheneverعَمَلَhe committedالْعَبْدُthe servantمَعْصِيَةًa disobedienceنَزَلَhe descendsإِلَىtoأَسْفَلَthe lowestدَرَجَةٍdegree,,وَلَاand notيَزَالُhe continuesفِيinنُزُولٍdescendingحَتَّىuntilيَكُونَhe becomesمِنَamong theالْأَسْفَلِينَlowest ones.
So whenever the servant commits a disobedience, he descends to the lowest degree, and he continues to descend until he becomes among the lowest.
وَكُلَّمَاAnd wheneverعَمَلَhe committedطَاعَةًan obedienceارْتَفَعَhe risesبِهَاby itدَرَجَةًdegree,,وَلَاand notيَزَالُhe continuesفِيinارْتِفَاعٍascendingحَتَّىuntilيَكُونَhe becomesمِنَamong theالْأَعْلِينَhighest ones.
And whenever the servant commits an obedience, he rises by it a degree, and he continues to ascend until he becomes among the highest.
وَقَدْAnd he mayيَجْتَمِعَgatherلِلْعَبْدِto the servantفِيinأَيَّامِdaysحَيَاتِهِof his lifeالصُّعُودَthe ascensionمِنْfromوَجْهٍone sideوَالنُّزُولِand descentمِنْfromوَجْهٍanother side;;وَandأَيَّهُمَاwhichever of themكَانَwasأَغْلَبَpredominantعَلَيْهِupon himكَانَhe isمِنْofأَهْلِهِhis people.
And he may gather during his life days the ascension from one side and the descent from another side; and whichever of them was predominant upon him, he is of his people.
فَلَيْسَSo it is notمِنْwhoصَعِدَascendedمِئَةٍone hundredدَرَجَاتٍdegreesوَنَزَلَand descendedدَرَجَةًa degreeوَاحِدَةًone
So it is not like one who ascended one hundred degrees and descended one degree.
وَأَهْلُAnd the peopleمَعْصِيَتِهِof His disobedience......
And the people of His disobedience ...
(۲)«عَلَيْهِ»"upon Him"سَاقِطٌis omittedمِنْfromف.F.وَفِيAnd inز:Z:«عَلَيْهِمَ»"upon them", خَطَأٌerror.
(2) "upon Him" is omitted from F. And in Z: "upon them", error.
(۳)ف:F:«لِهَؤُلَاءِ"for theseالْعِزَّةُ»the honor".

(٤)فِيInجَمِيعِallالنُّسَخِthe copiesعَبْدِ اللَّهَAbdullahبِنِbinعَمْرٍوAmr،,وَقَدْand it hasتَقَدَّمَprecededعَلَىinالصَّوَابِthe correct--كَمَاasأَثْبَتْنَاwe have established,,فِيinصS.(١٤٣)(143).
(4) In all the copies, Abdullah bin Amr, and it has preceded in the correct, as we have established in S. (143).
