أَدْرَىI knewفَيَقُولَانِand they sayقَدْthatكُنَّاwe wereنَعْلَمُknowأَنَّكَthat youتَقُولُsayذَٰلِكَthatفَيُقَالَthen it is saidلِلْأَرْضِto the earth
I knew, and they say, 'We knew that you would say that,' then it is said to the earth.
التَّئِمِيGather aroundعَلَيْهِitفَتَلتَئِمُand it is gatheredعَلَيْهِon itفَتَخْتَلِفُand its limbs differأَضْلاَعُهَاits sidesفَلَاso notيَزَالُit remainsفِيهَاin itمُعَذَّبًاbeing punishedحَتَّىuntilيَبْعَثَهُHe resurrects himاللَّهُAllahتَعَالَىMost Highمِنْfromمَضْجَعِهِhis resting placeذَٰلِكَthat
Gather around it, and its limbs differ; it remains in it being punished until Allah Most High resurrects him from that resting place.
وَكُلُّAnd everythingشَيْءٍthingذُكِرَهُmentioned by himالعُلَمَاءُthe scholars(بِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ(in Persianأَيْthat isبِغَيْرِwithoutالْعَرَبِيَّةِArabic(مِنْ(ofصِفَاتِattributesاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost HighعَنْaboveاسْمِهِHis nameفَجَائِزٌIt is permissibleالْقَوْلُto sayبِهِ)about it)وَكَمَاAnd likewiseكُلُّeveryشَيْءٍthingذُكِرَهُmentioned by himالعُلَمَاءُthe scholarsبِغَيْرِهَاby other than itمِنْofأَسْمَاءِnamesاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost HighفَجَائِزٌIt is permissibleالْقَوْلُto sayبِهِabout it
And everything mentioned by the scholars (in Persian, without Arabic) about the attributes of Allah Most High is permissible to say. Likewise, every thing mentioned by the scholars by other names of Allah Most High is also permissible to say about it.
فَيَجُوزُIt is permissibleأَنْtoيُقَالَbe saidخَدَايGodتَعَالَىMost Highتَوَانَسَتْcould(سِوَى(exceptالْيَدَthe handبِالْفَارِسِيَّةِ)in Persian)أَيْthat isبِغَيْرِwithoutالْعَرَبِيَّةِ)Arabic)فَلَاso notيَجُوزُit is permissibleأَنْtoيُقَالَbe saidدَسْتُthe handخَدَايGod(وَيَجُوزُ(and it is permissibleأَنْtoيُقَالَbe saidبُرُويas the faceخَدَايGodعَزَّ وَجَلَّGlory be to Himبِلَاwithoutتَشْبِيهٍlikenessوَلَاand notكَيْفِيَّةٍhow
It is permissible to say 'God Most High could (except the hand in Persian) without Arabic; therefore, it is not permissible to say 'the hand of God.' It is permissible to say 'as God, Glory be to Him, without likeness and how.'
وَلَيْسَAnd notقُرْبَproximityاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost Highوَلَاnorبُعْدَهُdistance from Himأَيْthat isوَلَيْسَand is notقُرْبَthe proximityالْعَبْدِthe servantمِنَfromاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost Highوَلَاnorبُعْدُthe distanceالْعَبْدِof the servantمِنَfromاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost High(مِنْ(fromطَرِيقٍthe pathطُولٍthe lengthالْمَسَافَةِthe distanceوَقَصْرِهَاand its shortnessلِأَنَّbecauseالْقُرْبَthe proximityوَالْبُعْدَand the distanceمِنْfromهَذَاthisالطَّرِيقَwayلَاdoes notيَتَصَوَّرُis conceivedإِلَّاexceptفِيinالْمُمْكِنِthe possibleوَالْمُتَحَيْزِand the boundedفِيinمَكَانٍspaceوَجِهَةٍand directionوَاللَّهُand AllahتَعَالَىMost Highمُنَزَّهٌis exaltedعَنْfromالْمَكَانِspaceوَالْحَيِّزِand extensionوَالْجِهَةِand directionلِأَنَّهُbecauseتَعَالَىMost Highلَيْسَis notبِجَوْهَرٍa substanceوَلَاnorعَرَضٍa quality(وَلَكِن(butعَلَىonمَعْنَىthe meaningالْكَرَامَةِof honorوَالْهَوَانِ)and humiliation)
And not the proximity of Allah Most High, nor the distance from Him; that is, the proximity of the servant from Allah Most High and the distance of the servant from Him is not conceived except in the possible and the bounded as in space and direction, and Allah Most High is exalted from space, extension, and direction because He is not a substance nor a quality (but it is in the meaning of honor and humiliation).
يَعْنِيIt meansقُرْبَthe proximityالْعَبْدِthe servantاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost Highمِنْfromكَرَامَةِdignityالْعَبْدِthe servantوَكَمَالِهِand his perfectionوَبُعْدَand the distanceالْعَبْدِthe servantمِنَfromاللَّهِAllahتَعَالَىMost Highهُوَisإِلَىtoأَنْthatيَجِدَhe findsعَالِمًاa scholarفِيinسَأَلَهُhe will ask himوَلَاand notيَسَعُهُit is sufficientتَأْخِيرَto delayالطَّلَبِthe requestوَلَاand notيُعَذَّرُit is excusable
It means the proximity of the servant to Allah Most High is by the dignity of the servant and his perfection, and the distance of the servant from Allah Most High is to find a scholar, and he will ask him; and it is not sufficient for him to delay the request, nor is he excusable.
