فَقَالَHe said::سُبْحَانَGloryاللَّهِof AllahأَفِيIs there inهَذَاthisشَكٌّ؟doubt?
He said: Glory be to Allah! Is there in this any doubt?
قَالَHe said::«"الرَّحْمَنُthe Most Mercifulعَلَّمَtaughtالْقُرْآنَthe Quranخَلَقَcreatedالْإِنْسَانَmankind»"
He said: "The Most Merciful taught the Quran, created mankind."
فَفَرَّقَSo He differentiatedبَيْنَbetweenالْإِنْسَانِhumanوَبَيْنَand betweenالْقُرْآنِ.the Quran.
So He differentiated between human and the Quran.
فَقَالَHe saidعِلْمٌ،Knowledgeخَلَقً،created,فَجَعَلَand thus madeيُعِيدُهَا؛He repeats it;عِلْمٌknowledgeخَلَقَcreatedأَيُّthatفَرَّقَdifferentiatedبَيْنَهُمَاbetween them.
He said: 'Knowledge created,' and thus made it; knowledge created, that is, He differentiated between them.
قَالَHe saidأَبُوAbuعَبْدُAbdاللَّهِAllah::الْقُرْآنُThe Quranمِنْis fromعِلْمِthe knowledgeاللَّهِ.of Allah.
Abu Abd Allah said: The Quran is from the knowledge of Allah.
أَلَاDo you not seeتَرَاهُyou see itيَقُولُ:says:عِلْمٌKnowledgeالْقُرْآنُ،of the Quran,وandالْقُرْآنُthe Quranفِيهِin itأَسْمَاءٌnamesاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّthe Almightyوَجَلَّand Exalted
Do you not see that it says: 'Knowledge of the Quran,' and the Quran contains the names of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted?
مَاWhatشَيْءٌis itيَقُولُونَthey sayأَلَاthatيَقُولُونَthey sayإِنَّifأَسْمَاءَthe namesاللَّهِof Allahغَيْرَare notمَخْلُوقَةٌcreated?
What do they say? Do they not say that the names of Allah are not created?
لَمْNotيَزَلْcease to beاللَّهُAllahقَدِيرًاAll Powerfulعَلَيْهَاover themعَزِيزًاMightyحَكِيمًاWise.
Allah has not ceased to be All Powerful over them, Mighty, Wise.
لَسْنَاWe do notنَشُكُّdoubtأَنَّthatأَسْمَاءَthe namesاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّthe Almightyوَجَلَّand Exalted,,لَسْنَاWe do notنَشُكُّdoubtأَنَّthatعِلْمَknowledgeاللَّهِof Allahغَيْرَis notمَخْلُوقٌcreated.
We do not doubt that the names of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, are not created. We do not doubt that the knowledge of Allah is not created.
فَالْقُرْآنُSo the Quranمِنْis fromعِلْمِthe knowledgeاللَّهِof Allahوَفِيهِand in itأَسْمَاءٌthe namesاللَّهِof AllahفَلَاSo do notنَشُكُّwe doubtأَنَّهُthat itغَيْرُis notمَخْلُوقٌcreated.
So the Quran is from the knowledge of Allah and in it are the names of Allah, so we do not doubt that it is not created.
وَهُوَAnd it isكَلَامُthe speechاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّthe Almightyوَجَلَّand ExaltedوَلَمْAnd He has notيَزَلْcease to beاللَّهُAllahبِهِwith it,مُتَّكِلًا،reliant,ثُمَّthenقَالَ:He said:وَأَيُّAnd whatكُفْرٌdisbeliefأَكْفَرَis more disbeliefمِنْthanهَذَاthisوَأَيُّAnd whatكُفْرٌdisbeliefأَشَرٌّis worseمِنْthanهَذَاthisإِذَاIfزَعَمُواthey claimأَنَّthatالْقُرْآنَthe Quranمَخْلُوقٌis createdفَقَدْthen theyزَعَمُواclaimأَنَّthatأَسْمَاءَthe namesاللَّهِof Allahمَخْلُوقَةٌare createdوandأَنَّthatعِلْمَthe knowledgeاللَّهِof Allahمَخْلُوقٌis created
And it is the speech of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted. And He has not ceased to be reliant on it. Then He said: And what disbelief is more than this? And what disbelief is worse than this? If they claim that the Quran is created, then they claim that the names of Allah are created and that the knowledge of Allah is created.
وَلَكِنَّButالنَّاسَthe peopleيَتَهَاوَنُونَare heedlessبِهَذَاwith thisوَيَقُولُونَand sayإِنَّمَاthat onlyيَقُولُونَthey sayالْقُرْآنَthe Quranمَخْلُوقٌ،is created,وandيَتَهَاوَنُونَare heedlessوَيَظُنُّونَand thinkأَنَّهُthat itهَيْنٌis trivialوَلَاand notيَدْرُونَthey knowمَاwhatفِيهِis in itوَهُوَand it isالكُفْرَ،the disbelief,وَأَنَاand Iأَكْرَهُhateأَنْtoأَبُوحَrevealبِهَذَاwith thisلِكُلِّto everyأَحَدٍoneوَهُمْand theyيَسْأَلُونَaskوَأَنَاand Iأَكْرَهُhateالْكَلَامَthe talkingفِيaboutهَذَاthisفَبَلَغَنِيThen it was told to meأَنَّهُمْthat theyيَدْعُونَclaimأَنِّيthat Iأَمْسَكُhold back.
But people are heedless of this and they say that only the Quran is created, and they are heedless and think that it is trivial. And they do not know what is in it, and it is disbelief, and I hate to reveal this to anyone. And they are asking, and I hate the talking about this. Then it was told to me that they claim that I hold back.
فَقُلْتُSo I saidلَهُto him,فَمَنْWho saidالْقُرْآنَthe Quranمَخْلُوقٌis createdوَلَاand notيَقُولُونَthey sayإِنَّthatأَسْمَاءَthe namesاللَّهِof Allahمَخْلُوقَةٌare createdوَلَاand notعِلْمَهُHis knowledgeلَمْnotيَزْدَincreasedعَلَىonهَذَاthis
So I said to him, 'Who said that the Quran is created? And they do not say that the names of Allah are created, nor His knowledge has not increased on this.'
