مِمَّاfrom whatيُؤَكِّدُconfirmsأَنَّthatاللَّهَAllahعَزَّis Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majesticمَسْتَوٍis establishedعَلَىuponعَرْشِهُHis Throneدُونَwithoutالأَشْيَاءِthe thingsكُلَّهَاall of them
What confirms that Allah, Exalted and Majestic, is established upon His Throne without the things all of them; is what the narrators conveyed from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
مَاWhatنَقَلَهُwas narrated byأَهْلُthe people ofالرِّوَايَةِthe narrationعَنْfromرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahصَلَّىmay He blessعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand grant him peace

رَوَىIt is narratedعَفَّانُby 'Afwanحَمَّادٌand Hamadعَنْfromابْنِthe sonسَلَمَةَof SalamahقَالَsaidثَنَىI informedعَمْرٌوAmrابْنَthe sonدِينَارٍof DinarعَنْaboutنَافِعٍNafi'ابْنِthe sonجُبَيْرٍof Jubayrعَنْfromأَبِيهِhis fatherأَنَّthatالنَّبِيَّthe Prophetصَلَّىmay He blessعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand grant him peaceقَالَhe saidيَنزِلُdescendsاللَّهُAllahعَزَّis Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majesticكُلَّeveryلَيْلَةٍnightإِلَىtoالسَّمَاءِthe heavenالدُّنْيَاthe lowerفَيَقُولُand He saysهَلْis thereمِنْanyoneسَائِلٍwho asksفَأُعْطِيَهُso I give himهَلْis thereمِنْanyoneمُسْتَغْفِرٍwho seeks forgivenessفَأَغْفِرُ لَهُso I forgive himحَتَّىuntilيَطْلُعَthe dawn breaksالْفَجْرَthe dawn
It is narrated by 'Afwan and Hamad from Ibn Salamah, who said: Amr bin Dinar about Nafi' bin Jubair from his father that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Allah, Exalted and Majestic, descends every night to the lower heaven and says: 'Is there anyone asking, so I can give him? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, so I can forgive him until dawn breaks.'"
وَرَوَىAnd narratedعَبْدُ اللَّهِby Abdullahابْنُthe sonبَكْرٍof Bakrقَالَhe saidثَنَىI informedهِشَامٌHishamابْنُthe sonأَبِيof Abuعَبْدِ اللَّهِAbdullahعَنْfromيَحْيَىYahyaابْنُthe sonأَبِيof Abuكَثِيرٍal-KathirعَنْfromأَبِيAbuجَعْفَرٍJafarأَنَّهُthat heسَمِعَheardأَبَاAbuجَعْفَرٍJafarأَنَّهُthat heسَمِعَheardأَبَاAbuهُرَيْرَةَHurayrahقَالَhe saidقَالَsaidرَسُولُthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahصَلَّىmay He blessعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand grant him peaceإِذَاIfبَقِيَتْremainsثُلُثُone thirdاللَّيْلِof the nightيَنْزِلُ Allah descendsاللَّهُAllahتَبَارَكَBlessedوَتَعَالَىand Exaltedمَنْwhoيَدْعُونِيcalls Meفَأَسْتَجِيبَso I answerلَهُto himمَنْwhoيَسْتَكْشِفُseeks to uncoverالضَّرَّthe harmفَأَكْشِفَهُso I remove itعَنْهُfrom himمَنْwhoيَسْتَرْزِقُنِيseeks provision from Meفَأُرْزِقَهُso I provide for himحَتَّىuntilيَنْفَجِرَthe dawn breaksالْفَجْرَthe dawn
And narrated Abdullah bin Bakr who said: Hisham bin Abdullah reported from Yahya bin Abu Kathi about Abu Jafar that he heard Abu Jafar say: Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "If one third of the night remains, Allah descends, Blessed and Exalted, and says: 'Who calls Me so that I may respond to him? Who seeks to uncover the harm so that I may remove it from him? Who seeks provision from Me so that I may provide for him?' until the dawn breaks."
وَرَوَىAnd narratedعَبْدُ اللَّهِby Abdullahابْنُthe sonبَكْرٍof Bakrالسَّهْمِيُّal-Sahmiقَالَhe saidثَنَىI informedهِشَامٌHishamابْنُthe sonأَبِيof Abuعَبْدِ اللَّهِAbdullahعَنْfromيَحْيَىYahyaابْنُthe sonأَبِيof Abuكَثِيرٍal-KathirعَنْfromهِلَالٍHilalابْنُthe sonأَبِيof AbuمَيْمُونَةَMaimunahقَالَhe saidثَنَىI informedعَطَاءِAtaaابْنِthe sonيَسَارٍYasarأَنَّthatرَفَاعَةَRafa'ahالْجُهَنِيَّal-Juhaniحَدَّثَهُtold himقَالَhe saidقَفَلْنَاWe returnedمَعَwithرَسُولِthe Messengerاللَّهِof Allahصَلَّىmay He blessعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand grant him peaceحَتَّىuntilإِذَاwhenكُنَّاwe wereبِالْكَدِيدِin al-Kadidأَوْorقَالَsaidبِقَدِيدٍin al-Qadidفَحَمِدَhe praisedاللَّهَAllahوَأَثْنَىand praised Himعَلَيْهِupon Himثُمَّthenقَالَhe saidإِذَاwhenمَضَىone third has passedثُلُثُone thirdاللَّيْلِof the nightأَوْorقَالَhe saidثُلُثَانِtwo thirdsاللَّيْلِof the nightيَنْزِلُdescendsاللَّهُAllahعَزَّis Exaltedوَجَلَّand Majestic
And narrated Abdullah bin Bakr al-Sahmi who said: Hisham bin Abdullah reported from Yahya bin Abu Kathi from Hilal bin Abu Maimunah that he informed about Ataa bin Yasaar that Rafa'ah al-Juhani told him: "We returned with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, until when we were in al-Kadid or he said in al-Qadid, he praised Allah and extolled Him, then he said: 'When one third of the night has passed or two thirds of the night, Allah, Exalted and Majestic, descends.'"
