نَقُولُWe sayلَاnoحُجَّةٌargumentلَكُمْfor youفِيinالآيَةِthe verse::لَوْIfكَانَit wasمَاwhatقُلْتُمْyou saidلَكَانَit would beوَهُوَand He isالَّذِيthe one whoكُلُّeverythingفِيهِin itفَلَمَّاand whenوَصَفَdescribedبِالشَّيْئِيَّةِby being particularدَلَّindicatesعَلَىonأَنْthatالْمُرَادَthe intended meaningبِهِby itنُفُوذٍthe influenceالإِلَٰهِيةِof divinityفِيinالسَّمَاءِthe heavensوَفِيand inالْأَرْضِthe earthوَبِهَذَاand with thisنَقُولُwe sayوَقَوْلُand the sayingالْمُعْتَزِلَةِof the Mu'tazilaوَالْقَدَرِيَّةِand the Qadaritesفِيinهَذَاthisأَقْبَحُis worseمِنْthanقَوْلِthe sayingالْمُشَبِّهَةِof the anthropomorphistsلَأَنَّbecauseقَوْلَهُمْtheir sayingيُؤَدِّيleadsإِلَىtoأَنْthatاللَّهَGodتَعَالَىThe Exaltedفِيinأَجْوَافِthe insidesالسُّبُعِof wild beastsوَالْهَوَامِّand creeping thingsوَالْحَشَرَاتِand insectsتَعَالَى اللَّهُExalted is Godعَنْaboveذَٰلِكَthatعُلُوًّاin greatnessكَبِيرًاgreatوَأَمَّاAnd as forمَذْهَبُthe creedأَهْلِof the peopleالسُّنَّةِof the Sunnahوَالْجَمَاعَةِand the communityأَنْthatاللَّهَGodتَعَالَىThe Exaltedعَلَىaboveالْعَرْشِthe Throneعُلُوٌّgreatnessعَظَمَةٌof majestyوَرُبُوبِيَّةٍand lordshipلَاnotعُلُوٌّheightارْتِفَاعٌelevationمَكَانٌplaceوَمَسَافَةٌand distanceقَالَsaidأَبُو حَنِيفَةَAbu HanifaاللَّهُGodعَنْهُabout himوَنَذْكُرَهُand we mention himمِنْfromأَعْلَىthe highestلَاnotمِنْfromأَسْفَلَbelowلَأَنَّbecauseالْأَسْفَلَthe lowerلَيْسَis notمِنْofالرُّبُوبِيَّةِlordshipوَالأُلُوهِيَّةِand divinityفِيinشَيْءٍanythingوَرَوَىand it was narratedفِيinالْحَدِيثِthe hadithأَنَّthatرَجُلًاa manأَتَىcame toالنَّبِيَّthe Prophetلَهُwith himبِأَمَةٍwith a black slave girlسُودَاءَblackفَقَالَand saidوَجَبَit is obligatoryعَلَيَّon meعِتْقٌto freeرَقَبَةٍa neckمُؤْمِنَةٍbelievingأَفِيَجْزِئُis it sufficientأَنْthatأَعْتِقَI freeهَذِهِthis؟?فَقَالَHe said to herالنَّبِيُّthe ProphetأَمُؤْمِنَةٌAre you a believer?أَنتِYou are؟?قَالَتْShe saidنَعَمYesفَقَالَHe saidأَيْنَWhereاللَّهُGod؟?فَأَشَارَتْSo she pointedإِلَىtoالسَّمَاءِthe skyفَقَالَHe saidأَعْتِقْهَاFree herفَإِنَّهَاfor indeed sheمُؤْمِنَةٌis a believer. وَالْمُعْتَزِلَةُAnd the Mu'tazilaتُنْكِرُdenyهَذَاthisالْخَبَرَreportوَتَرُدُّهُand reject itوَذُكِرَAnd it is mentionedفِيinالْكِتَابِthe bookحَدِيثُhadithمُعَاذٍMu'adhبِنِbinجَبَلٍJabalرَضِيَ اللَّـهُ عَنْهُmay God be pleased with himأَنْthatشَابًّاa young manسَأَلَهُasked himفَقَالَHe saidمَاWhatتَقُولُdo you sayفِيْمَنabout one whoيُصَلِّيpraysوَيَصُومُand fastsوَيَحُجُّand makes pilgrimageالْبَيْتَthe houseوَيُجَاهِدُand fights inفِيinسَبِيلِthe pathاللَّهِGodوَيُؤَدِّيand givesزَكَاتَهُhis almsوَيُعْتِقُand freesغَيْرَother thanأَنَّهُthat heيَشُكُّdoubtsفِيinاللَّهِGodوَرَسُولِهِand His Messenger?قَالَHe saidمُعَاذٌMu'adhهَذَاthisلَهُfor himالنَّارُthe fire.قَالَHe saidفَمَاSo whatتَقُولُdo you sayفِيْمَنabout one whoلَاno
He said, "So what do you say about one who does not?"
