And His pleasure is His reward because His punishment is His fire and His reward is His paradise, and both are newly created, except that His punishment when it was by His anger and His reward when it was by His pleasure, it is permissible to say His anger is His punishment and His pleasure is His reward.

Another chapter. We have certainly mentioned the faith with its details and branches before and the saying what is in your finger. We have mentioned in the book the spreading of the light of faith to the limbs before.

وَقَوْلُهُAnd His sayingإِذَاifقَطَعْتَyou cutالإصْبَعَthe fingerأَيْضًاalsoفِيinجَمِيعِallيَذْهَبُgoesالإيْمَانُthe faithمِنْهَاfrom itإِلَىtoالْقَلْبِthe heartقُلْنَاwe saidنَعَمَ*Yes,*وَهَذَاand thisصَحِيحٌis correctلَأَنَّbecauseالمَعْنَىthe meaningالَّذِيwhichقَارَبَهُis approached

And His saying, if you cut the finger, also in all, faith goes from it to the heart, we said Yes*, and this is correct because the meaning which is approached by faith in the body is indivisible.

فَإِنْSo ifقِيلَit is saidإِذَاifمَاتَdiesالْعَبْدُthe servantأَيْنَwhereيَذْهَبُgoesإِيمَانُهُhis faithيَكُونُit will beمَعَwithرُوحِهِhis soulأَوْorيَكُونُit will beمَعَwithبَدَنِهِhis bodyقُلْنَاwe saidلَاnoبِهَذَاwith thisوَلَاnorبِذَاكَthatوَلَكِنbutبِالْمَعْنَىby the meaningالَّذِيwhichصَارَbecomesبِهِby itالْعَبْدُthe servantأَهْلًاone who is worthyلِلْإِيْمَانِfor faithوَلَأَنَّهُand becauseجَوٌّthe beingصَارَbecameصَالِحًاworthyلِعِبَادَةِfor the worshipرَبِّهِof his Lordفِيinحَالِهِstateحَيَاتِهِof his lifeوَجَعَلَهُand made himصَالِحًاrighteousلِعِبَادَتِهِfor his worshipبَعْدَafterمَمَاتِهِhis death.

So if it is said, if the servant dies, where does his faith go? It will be with his soul or it will be with his body? We said no, with this or that, but by the meaning which becomes the servant worthy of faith and because the being has become worthy for the worship of his Lord in the state of his life and made him righteous for his worship after his death.

فَإِنْSo ifقِيلَit is saidأَيْنَWhereتَذْهَبُdo you goسَائِرُotherأَعْمَالِهِactsقُلْنَاwe saidاتَّصَلَتْthey are connectedبِثَوَابِto the rewardاللَّهِGodتَعَالَىthe Exaltedأَوْorبِعُقَابِهِto His punishment.

So if it is said where do the rest of his actions go? We said they are connected to the reward of God, the Exalted, or to His punishment.

فَإِنْSo ifقِيلَit is saidبِأَيِّBy whatشَيْءٍthingيُعْرَفُis knownاللَّهُGodقُلْنَاwe saidفِيهِin it

So if it is said by what is God known? We said in it.
