وَجْهُThe faceتَأْلِيفِof composingالْكِتَابِthe book

The face of composing the book

شَرْحٌA commentكِتَابِof the bookالْوَصِيَّةِThe testament

A comment on the book of testament.

اللَّهُGodالرَّحْمَـٰنُthe Most Graciousالرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful

God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

الْحَمْدُAll praiseلِلَّهِbe to Godالْمُتَوَحِّدُthe Uniqueبِوُجُوبِwith the necessityالْوُجُودِof existenceوَالْبَقَاءِand of subsistence**الْمُنْفَرِدُthe Alone

All praise be to God, the Unique with the necessity of existence and of subsistence, * the Alone

بِالْقُدْرَةِwith powerالْكَامِلَةِthe completeوَالْعِزَّand gloryوَالْكِبْرِيَاءِand majesty**وَالصَّلَاةِAnd the prayerوَالسَّلَامُand peaceعَلَىuponخَيْرِthe bestخَلْقِهِof His creationمُحَمَّدٍMuhammadأَشْرَفُthe noblestالْأَنْبِيَاءِof the prophets**وَعَلَىand uponآلِهِhis familyوَأَصْحَابِهِand his companionsالْبَرَرَةُthe righteousالْأَتْقِيَاءِthe pious

And the prayer and peace be upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, the noblest of the prophets, * and upon his family and his companions, the righteous and the pious.

يَقُولُHe says**الْعَبْدُthe servantالْفَقِيرُthe poorالْحَقِيرُthe humbleإِلَىtoمَوْلاهُhis lordالْعَزِيزِthe Mightyالْقَوِيِّthe Strongالْمَدْعُوِّthe one calledبِمُلاّby the name ofحُسَيْنٍHusseinابْنِson ofإِسْكَنْدَرَAlexanderالْحَنِيفِيِّthe Hanafi

He says: the servant, the poor and humble, to his Lord, the Mighty and Strong, called by the name of Hussein, son of Alexander the Hanafi.

عَامِلَهُMay He treat himاللَّهُGodبِلُّطْفِهِwith His kindnessالْخَفِيِّthe hidden**وَبَعْدَAnd after thatفَانِيI haveاسْتَخَرْتُsought guidanceاللَّهَGodفِيinوَضْعِplacingشَرْحٍa commentaryمُخْتَصَرٍbriefعَلَىonكِتَابِthe bookالْوَصِيَّةِthe testamentالْمَنْسُوبِascribed toإِلَىtoالإِمَامِthe Imamالْأَعْظَمِthe Greatestأَبِيof AbuحَنِيفَةَHanifaرَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُmay God be pleased with him

May God treat him with His hidden kindness. And after that, I have sought guidance from God in placing a brief commentary on the book of testament ascribed to the greatest Imam, Abu Hanifa, may God be pleased with him.

بَعْدَAfterأَنْthatوَقَفْتُI stoodعَلَىonشَرْحِهِhis commentaryلِلْعَلَامَةِof the scholarالأَكْمَلِthe perfectوَهُوَand it isشَرْحٌa commentaryعَظِيمٌgreatلَكِنَّbutفِيinعِبَارَتِهِits expressionدِقَّةٍprecisionوَفِيهِand in itأَيْضًاalsoمَذَاهِبَthe doctrinesالْفِرَقِof the sectsالضَّالَّةِthe misguidedفَيَعْسُرَand it is difficultالتَّمْيِيزَto distinguishعَلَىonالْمُتَعَلِّمِينَthe students

After that, I stood on his commentary of the perfect scholar, and it is a great commentary. But in its expression, there is precision, and in it also the doctrines of the misguided sects, thus making it difficult to distinguish for the students.
