مَاءٌ،Water,ثُمَّthenنَظَرَlookedإِلَىatالْمَاءِthe waterفَعَلَىand uponوَعَلَاهُit was aboveزُبَدٌfoamوَدُخَانٌ،and smoke,فَخَلَقَso He createdمِنَfromالزُّبَدِthe foamالأَرْضِthe earthوَمِنَand fromالدُّخَانِthe smokeالسَّمَاءِ،the sky,كَذَٰلِكَlikewiseفِيinقَصَصِthe storiesالْأَنْبِيَاءِof the prophets.
Water, then He looked at the water and upon it was foam and smoke, so He created the earth from the foam and the sky from the smoke, likewise in the stories of the prophets.
فَائِدَةٌBenefitقَالَsaidالرَّبِيعُAr-Rabi'بْنُbinأَنَسٌ:Anas:سَمَاءُThe skyالدُّنْيَاof this worldمَوْجٌis a waveمَكْفُوفٌthat is restrainedوَالثَّانِيَةُand the secondمِنْofصَخْرَةٍrockوَالثَّالِثَةُand the thirdمِنْofحَدِيدٍironوَالرَّابِعَةُand the fourthمِنْofنُحَاسٍcopperوَالخَامِسَةُand the fifthمِنْofفِضَّةٍsilverوَالسَّادِسَةُand the sixthمِنْofذَهَبٍgoldوَالسَّابِعَةُand the seventhمِنْofيَاقُوتَةٍruby,كَذَٰلِكَlikewiseفِيinقَصَصِthe storiesالْأَنْبِيَاءِof the prophetsصَلَوَاتُprayersاللَّهِof Allahعَلَيْهِمْupon themأَجْمَعِينَall together
Benefit: Ar-Rabi' bin Anas said: The sky of this world is a restrained wave, and the second is of rock, and the third is of iron, and the fourth is of copper, and the fifth is of silver, and the sixth is of gold, and the seventh is of ruby; likewise in the stories of the prophets, prayers of Allah be upon them all.
فَائِدَةٌBenefitكَمْhow manyوُجُوهٍfacesخَلَقَcreatedاللَّهُAllahفِيinالأَرْضِthe earthالثَّالِثَةُthe thirdخَلَقًاcreation,وُجُوهَهُمْtheir facesمِثْلَlikeبَنِيthe children ofآدَمَ؛Adam;وَأَفْوَاهَهُمْand their mouthsكَأَفْوَاهِlike the mouthsالْكِلَابِof dogsوَأَيْدِيهِمand their handsكَأَيْدِيlike the handsالْإِنْسِof humansوَأَرْجُلَهُمْand their legsكَأَرْجُلِlike the legsالْبَقَرِof cattleوَآذَانَهُمْand their earsكَآذَانِlike the earsالْمُعَزِّof goats;وَأَشْعَارَهُمْand their hairsكَأَصْوَافِlike the woolالضَّأْنِof sheep;لَاThey do notيَعْصُونَdisobeyاللَّهَAllahتَعَالَىٰMost High,طَرْفَةَthe blinkعَيْنٍ؛of an eye;لَيْسَThey do not haveلَهُمْfor them;تِيَابٌ،they have clothes;لَيْلُنَاour nightنَهَارَهُمْand their day;وَنَهَارَنَاand our day;لَيْلَهُمْ،and their night;كَذَٰلِكَlikewiseفِيinقَصَصِthe storiesالْأَنْبِيَاءِ.of the prophets.
Benefit: How many faces did Allah create on the earth? The third creation of their faces is like the faces of the children of Adam, and their mouths are like the mouths of dogs, and their hands are like the hands of humans, and their legs are like the legs of cattle, and their ears are like the ears of goats; and their hair is like the wool of sheep. They do not disobey Allah the Most High even for the blink of an eye; they have no clothes, our night and their day and our day and their night; likewise in the stories of the prophets.
وَAndفَائِدَةٌBenefitمَit is narrated thatيُرْوَىit is narratedأَنَّthatالْمَلَائِكَةُthe angelsقَالَتْsaidيَارَبِّ،O Lord,لَوْifأَنَّthatالسَّمَاوَاتِthe heavensوَالْأَرْضَand the earth97.97.
And it is narrated that the angels said, 'O Lord, if the heavens and the earth... 97.'
