The Opening, and it shows him in the midst of the state of its meanings what he had not thought of before that, until.
كَأَنَّهَاas if itتِلْكَthatالسَّاعَةُtimeنَزَلَتْcame downفَيُؤْمِنُand he believesبِتِلْكَin thoseالْمَعَانِيmeaningsوَيَزْدَادُand increasesعِلْمُهُhis knowledgeوَعَمَلُهُ،and his deeds,وَهَذَاand thisمَوْجُودٌis present
As if that moment had just descended, and he believes in those meanings and increases his knowledge and deeds, and this is present.
فِيInكُلِّeveryمِنْofقَرَأَthose who readالْقُرْآنِthe Quranبِتَدَبُّرٍ،with contemplation,بِخِلَافِcontrary toمَنْthose whoقَرَأَهُread itمَعَwithالْغَفْلَةِ،heedlessness,ثُمَّthen
In every one who reads the Quran with contemplation, contrary to those who read it with heedlessness, then.
كُلَّمَاWheneverأَفْعَلُI doشَيْئًاsomethingمِمَّاof whatأَمَرَhe commandedبِهِwith itاَسْتَحْضِرُhe remembersأَنَّهُthat indeedأَمَرَit was commandedبِهِwith itفَصَدَّقَand he believesالأَمْرَ،the command,
Whenever I do something of what he commanded, I remember that it was commanded and he believes in the command.
فَحَصَلَSo he obtainsلَهُfor himفِيinتِلْكَthatالسَّاعَةِhourمِنَofالتَّصْدِيقِthe beliefفِيinقَلْبِهِhis heartمَاwhatكَانَhad beenغَافِلًاheedlessعَنْهُabout itوَإِنْand ifلَمْnotيَكُنْbeمُكَذِّبًا.disbelieving.
So he obtains for him in that hour the belief in his heart what he had been heedless about, even if he had not been disbelieving.
الْثَّامِنُ:The eighth:أَنَّThatالْإِنْسَانَa humanقَدْmayيَكُونَbeمُكَذِّبًاdisbelievingوَمُنْكِرًاand denyingلِأُمُورٍfor mattersلَاthat do notيَعْلَمُknowأَنَّthatالرَّسُولَthe Messengerأَخْبَرَinformedبِهَا،of it,وَأَمَرَand orderedبِهَا،with it,وَلَوْand ifعَلِمَhe knew
The eighth: that a human may be disbelieving and denying matters which he does not know that the Messenger informed of it, and ordered with it, and if he knew.
ذَٰلِكَthatلَمْnotيُكَذِّبْhe would denyوَلَمْand notيُنْكِرَ،deny,بَلْbutقَلْبُهُhis heartجَازِمٌis certainبِأَنَّهُthat itلَاdoes notيُخْبِرُinformإِلَّاexceptبِصِدْقٍwith truthوَلَاand does notيَأْمُرُcommandإِلَّاexceptبِحَقٍ،with right,
That he would not deny, nor would he reject; but his heart is certain that it does not inform except with truth and does not command except with right.
ثُمَّThenيَسْمَعُhe hearsالْآيَةَthe verseأَوْorالْحَدِيثَ،the hadith,أَوْorيَتَدَبَّرُcontemplatesذَٰلِكَ،that,أَوْorيُفَسِّرُhe explainsلَهُto himمَعْنَاهُ،its meaning,أَوْorيُظْهَرُit appearsلَهُto him thisبِوَجْهٍby faceمِنْofالْوُجُوهِ،the faces,
Then he hears the verse or the hadith, or contemplates that, or explains its meaning to him, or it appears to him in this way.
فَيُصَدِّقُSo he believesبِمَاin whatكَانَhe had beenمُكَذِّبًاdisbelievingبِهِ،in it,وَيَعْرِفُand he knowsمَاwhatكَانَhad beenمُنْكِرًا،denying,وَهَذَاand thisتَصْدِيقٌis a beliefجَدِيدٌnewوَإِيمَانٌand faithجَدِيدٌnewازْدَادَincreasedبِهِ،with it,إِيمَانُهُ،his faith,
So he believes in what he had been disbelieving in, and he knows what he had been denying, and this is a new belief and a new faith with which his faith has increased.
وَلَمْand notيَكُنْhad beenقَبْلَbeforeذَٰلِكَthatكَافِرًاdisbelieverبَلْbutجَاهِلًا،ignorant,وَهَذَاand thisوَإِنْand ifأَشْبَهَresemblesالْمُجْمَلَthe generalوَالْمُفَصَّلَand the detailedلِكَوْنِbecause ofقَلْبِهِhis heartسَلِيمًا .sound.
And he had not been a disbeliever before that, but ignorant, and this, and if resembles the general and the detailed because his heart is sound.
عَنْAboutتَكْذِيبٍdisbeliefوَتَصْدِيقٍand believingلِشَيْءٍfor somethingمِنَofالتَّفَاصِيلِ،the details,وَعَنْand aboutمَعْرِفَةٍknowledgeوَإِنْكَارٍand denialلِشَيْءٍfor somethingمِنَofذَٰلِكَ،that,
About disbelief and believing in something of the details, and about knowledge and denial of something of that.
فَيَأْتِيهِSo it comes to himالتَّفْصِيلُthe detailبَعْدَafterالإِجْمَالِthe generalعَلَىuponقَلْبٍa heartسَاذَجٍnaive
So the detail comes to him after the general upon a naive heart.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forكَثِيرٍmanyمِنَofالنَّاسِ،the people,بَلْratherمِنْofأَهْلِthe peopleالْعُلُومِof knowledgeوَالْعِبَادَاتِ،and worships,فَيَقُومُونَthey establishبِقُلُوبِهِمْin their heartsمِنَfromالتَّفْصِيلِthe detailأُمُورٍmattersكَثِيرَةٍmanyتُخَالِفُthat contradictمَاwhatجَاءَcameبِهِwith itالرَّسُولُthe Messengerوَهُمْand theyلَاdo notيَعْلَمُونَknowأَنَّهَاthat itتُخَالِفُcontradictsفَإِذَاAnd ifعَرَفُواthey knowرَجَعُوا،they returned,
And as for many of the people, rather of the people of knowledge and worship, they establish in their hearts many matters that contradict what came with the Messenger and they do not know that it contradicts, and if they know, they will return.
وَكُلُّAnd everyمَنْone whoابْتَدَعَinnovatedفِيinالدِّينِthe religionقَوْلًاa sayingأَخْطَأَerroneousفِيهِin itأَوْorعَمَلًاa deedعَمَلًاan actionأَخْطَأَerredفِيهِ،in it,وَهُوَand heمُؤْمِنٌbelievingبِالرَّسُولِ،in the Messenger,أَوْorعَرَفَhe knewمَاwhatقَالَهُhe saidوَآمَنَand believedبِهِ،in it,لَمْnotيَعْدِلْhe will shiftعَنْهُ،from him,هُوَhe isمِنْofهَذَاthisالْبَابِ،door,
And every one who innovated in the religion a saying that was erroneous in it, or did an action that was erroneous in it, and he believes in the Messenger, or he knew what he said and believed in it, he will not shift from it, he is of this door.
وَكُلُّAnd everyمُبْتَدِعٍinnovatorقَصَدَهُintendedمُتَابَعَةًfollowingالرَّسُولَ،the Messenger,فَهُوَhe isمِنْofهَذَاthisالْبَابِ،door,
And every innovator who intended to follow the Messenger, he is of this door.
فَمَنْSo whoeverعَلِمَknowsمَاwhatجَاءَcameبِهِwith itالرَّسُولُ،the Messenger,وَعَمِلَand worksبِهِ،with it,أَكْمَلَhe is completeمَنْwho errsذَٰلِكَ،that,وَمَنْand whoeverعَلِمَknowsالصَّوَابَthe correctبَعْدَafterالْخَطَأِthe errorوَعَمِلَand actsبِهِwith itفَهُوَhe isأَكْمَلُmore completeمِمَّنْthan whoلَمْhas notيَكُنْbeenكَذَلِكَ .so.
So whoever knows what came with the Messenger and works with it, he is complete; whoever errs in that, and whoever knows the correct after the error and acts with it, he is more complete than who has not been so.

Section And surely Allah affirmed in the Quran Islam without faith in His saying the Most High: ﴿ The Bedouins said, 'We believe not.' Say, 'You do not believe,' but say, 'We have submitted.' And when faith has not entered into your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not decrease you from your deeds a thing (Al-Hujurat: 14). And surely it has been proved in both Sahihs.
