يُبْصِرُونَThey seeهُمthemبِكُمْdeafعُمْيٌblindفَهُمْso theyلَاdo notيَرْجِعُونَreturn
They see them as deaf and blind, so they do not return.
وَأَمَّاAnd as forقَوْلِthe sayingمَنْof those whoقَالَsaidالْمُرَادُthe intended meaningبِالنُّورِof the lightمَاwhatحَصَلَoccurredفِيinالدُّنْيَاthe worldمِنْofحَقْنٍsavingدِمَائِهِمْtheir bloodوَأَمْوَالِهِمْand their wealthفَإِذَاso ifمَاتُواthey dieسُلِبُواthey are strippedذَلِكَof thatالضَّوْءَlightكَمَاjust asسُلِبَstrippedصَاحِبُthe ownerالنُّورِof the lightضَوْءَهُits light
And as for the saying of those who said, the intended meaning of the light is what occurred in the world of saving their blood and their wealth, so if they die, they are stripped of that light just as the owner of the light is stripped of its light.
فَلْظُSo the wordingالْآيَةِof the verseيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىagainstخِلَافِthe oppositeذَٰلِكَthatفَإِنَّهُfor itقَالَsaidوَتَرَكَهُمْand He left themفِيinظُلُمَاتٍdarknessلَاnotيُبْصِرُونَthey seeمُمُبُكْمٌdeafعُمْيٌblindفَهُمْso theyلَاdo notيَرْجِعُونَreturn
So the wording of the verse indicates the opposite of that, for it said: "And He left them in darkness, they do not see, deaf and blind, so they do not return."
وَAndيَوْمَon the Dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionيَكُونُونَthey will beفِيinالْعَذَابِtormentكَمَاasقَالَsaidتَعَالَىthe Most High
And on the Day of Resurrection, they will be in torment, as the Most High said.
يَوْمَThe DayيَقُولُHe will sayالْمُتَفِقُونَthe believersوَandالْمُتَفِقَاتُthe female believersلِلَّذِينَto those whoآمَنُواbelievedانظُرُونَاLook at usنَفْسَبِسُgive us some ofمِنَofنُّورِكُمْyour lightقِيلَIt was saidارْجِعُواReturnإِلَىtoوَرَاءِكُمْbehind youفَالْتَمِسُواand seekنُورًاlight
The Day He will say: "O believers and female believers, to those who believed, 'Look at us' and give us some of your light.' It will be said, 'Return to behind you and seek light.'
