آمُرُكُمْI command youبِأَرْبَعِto four thingsوَأَنْهَاكُمْand I prohibit youعَن أَرْبَعِfrom four things
I command you to four things and I prohibit you from four things.
إِذَاIfصَلَحَتthey are goodصَلَحَwill be goodلَهَاfor herسَائِرُthe rest ofالْجَسَدِthe body
If they are good, the rest of the body will be good.
إِذَاIfقَالَa Muslim saysالْمُسْلِمُthe Muslimلِأَخِيهِto his brotherيَاOكَافِرٌdisbeliever
If a Muslim says to his brother: O disbeliever.
إِذَاIfكَانَit isيَوْمُthe dayالْقِيَامَةِof resurrectionقِيلَit is saidأَيْنَwhereالظَّالِمُونَthe oppressors
If it is the day of resurrection, it is said: where are the oppressors?
آمُرُكُمْI command youبِالْإِيمَانِto believeبِاللَّهِin Allahوَحْدَهُalone
I command you to believe in Allah alone.
إِذَاIfهَلَكَthe Caesar perishesقَيْصَرُCaesarفَلَاthen notقَيْصَرَa Caesarبَعْدَهُafter him
If the Caesar perishes, then there will not be a Caesar after him.
آيَةٌThe signالإِيمَانِof faithحُبٌّis the loveالْأَنْصَارِof the supporters
The sign of faith is the love of the supporters.
آيَةٌThe signالْمُنَافِقِof hypocritesثَلاَثٌis three
The sign of hypocrites is three.
أَتُحِبُّDo you loveأَنْthatأُخْبِرَكُمْI tell youبِصَرِيحِthe clearالإِيمَانِfaith
Do you love that I tell you the clear faith?
أَتَدْرُونَDo you knowمَاwhatالإِيمَانُfaithبِاللَّهِin Allahوَحْدَهُalone
Do you know what faith in Allah alone is?
إِذَاIfهَلَكَthe Khosrow perishesكَسْرَىKhosrowثُمَّthenلَاthere will notيَكُونَbeكَسْرَىa Khosrowبَعْدَهُafter him
If Khosrow perishes, then there will not be a Khosrow after him.
أَرَأَيْتُمْDid you seeلَوْifوَضَعْتُمْyou put itفِيinحَرَامٍforbidden
Did you see if you put it in something forbidden?
أَرْبَعٌFour thingsمَنْwhoeverكَانَis in themفِيهِhe wasمُناَفِقًاa hypocrite
Four things, whoever is in them is a hypocrite.
ارْجِعْGo backفَصَلِّand prayفَإِنَّكَfor youلَمْdid notتُصَلِّpray
Go back and pray for you did not pray.
أَتَسْخَرُDo you mockبِيmeوَأَنْتَand you areرَبُّthe lordالْعَالَمِينَof the worlds
Do you mock me and you are the lord of the worlds?
أَسْلَمَThe people accepted Islamالنَّاسُthe peopleوَآمَنَand believedعَمْرُوAmrبْنِbinالْعَاصِAl-Aas
The people accepted Islam and believed Amr bin Al-Aas.
أَتَشْهَدِينَDo you bear witnessأَنَّthatلَاthere is noإِلَـٰهَgodإِلَّاbutاللَّهُAllah
Do you bear witness that there is no god but Allah?
أَحَبُّThe most belovedالأَسْمَاءُof namesإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllah
The most beloved of names to Allah.
أَحْسَنُهُمْThe best of themخُلُقًاin character
The best of them in character.
اخْتَبَأْتُI hidدَعْوَتِيmy supplicationشَفَاعَةًintercessionلِأُمَّتِيfor my nation
I hid my supplication as intercession for my nation.
أَسْلِمْAccept Islamتَسْلَمْyou will be safe
Accept Islam and you will be safe.
اللَّهُAllah
Allah.
أَسْلَمْتُI submittedنَفْسِيmyselfاللَّهَto Allahوَخَلَّيْتُand I freedوَجْهِيmy face
I submitted myself to Allah and I freed my face.
أَخْرِجُواBring outمِنَfromالنَّارِthe fireمَنْwhoكَانَwasفِيinقَلْبِهِhis heartأَسْلَمَتْI have submitted
Bring out from the fire whoever has submitted in his heart.
إِذَاIfاجْتَهَدَthe judge exerts himselfالْحَاكِمُthe rulerفَأَصَابَand succeedsفَلَهُthen he hasأَجْرَانِtwo rewards
If the judge exerts himself and succeeds, then he has two rewards.
إِذَاIfأَسَأْتَyou wrongedأَوْorظَلَمْتَoppressedأَحَدًاanyone
If you wronged or oppressed anyone.
إِذَاIfحَاصَرْتَyou besiegeأَهْلَthe people ofحِصْنٍthe fortress
If you besiege the people of the fortress.
إِذَاIfزَنَىa fornicator fornicatedالزَّانِيthe fornicatorخَرَجَتْthe faith leavesمِنْهُfrom himالإِيمَانُthe faith
If the fornicator fornicated, the faith leaves him.
وَجْهِيmy faceاللَّهُAllahوَتَخَلَّيْتُand I freed
My face is for Allah, and I have freed it.
اشْفَعُواIntercedeتُؤْجَرُواand you will be rewardedوَيَقْضِيand Allah will fulfillاللَّهُAllahمَاwhatشَاءَhe wills
Intercede, and you will be rewarded, and Allah will fulfill what he wills.
أَصْدَقُThe most truthfulالأَسْمَاءِof namesحَارِثٌHarithوَهَمَّامٌand Hammam
The most truthful names are Harith and Hammam.
أَصْدَقُThe most truthfulكَلِمَةٍwordقَالَهَاsaid byالشَّاعِرِthe poet
The most truthful word said by the poet.
إِطْعَامٌFeedingالطَّعَامِthe foodوَطِيفٌand kindالكَلَامِspeech
Feeding the food and kind speech.
إِذَاIfسَمِعْتُمْyou hearالْمُؤَذِّنَthe caller to prayerفَقُولُواthen sayمِثْلَlikeمَاwhatيَقُولُhe says
If you hear the caller to prayer, then say what he says.
أَعْتِقْهَاSet freeفَإِنَّهَاfor she isمُؤْمِنَةٌa believer
Set her free, for she is a believer.
فَإِنَّهَاfor she isمُؤْمِنَةٌa believer
For she is a believer.
