المُسْلِمُThe Muslimمَنْwhoسَلِمَis safeالمُسْلِمُونَthe Muslimsمِنَfromلِسَانِهِhis tongueوَandيَدِهِhis hand
The Muslim is one from whom the Muslims are safe from his tongue and hand.
الهِجْرَةُMigration::أَنْtoتَهْجُرَabandonالسُّوءَevil
Migration: to abandon evil.
المُؤْمِنُThe believerالقَوِيُstrongخَيْرٌis betterوَأَحَبُّand more belovedإِلَىtoاللَّهِAllah
The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah.
المُؤْمِنُThe believerمَنْwhoأَمِنَهُis trusted by himالنَّاسُthe peopleعَلَىonدِمَائِهِمtheir bloods
The believer is one whom the people trust with their lives.
الهِجْرَةُMigration::مَنْwhoهَجَرَabandonsمَاwhatحَرَّمَis forbiddenاللَّهُAllah
Migration: who abandons what Allah has forbidden.
وَAndأَسْأَلُكَI ask Youحُكْمًاa judgmentيُوَافِقُthat agrees withحُكْمَكَYour judgment
And I ask You for a ruling that agrees with Your ruling.
المُؤْمِنُThe believerمَنْwhoأَمِنَهُis trusted by himالنَّاسُthe people,,وَandالمُسْلِمُthe Muslim
The believer is one whom the people trust, and the Muslim.
وَالَّذِيAnd whomنَفْسِيmy soulبِيَدِهِis in His hands,,لَتُنْفِقُنَّsurely you will spendكُنُوزَهُمَاtheir treasures
And by the One in Whose hand is my soul, you will surely spend their treasures.
المُجاهِدُThe strugglerمَنْwhoجَاهَدَstrugglesنَفْسَهُhis own selfلِلَّهِfor Allah
The struggler is one who struggles against himself for Allah.
المُهَاجِرُThe migrantمَنْwhoهَجَرَabandonsالسَّيِّئَاتِthe sins
The migrant is one who abandons the sins.
وَالَّذِيAnd whomنَفْسِيmy soulبِيَدِهِis in His hand,,لَيَنْزِلَنَّsurely will come downفِيكُمْupon youابْنَthe sonمَرْيَمَof Mary
And by the One in Whose hand is my soul, surely the son of Mary will come down among you.
وَالَّذِيAnd whomنَفْسِيmy soulبِيَدِهِis in His hand,,لَوْifقَالَhe says::إِنَّIndeedشَاءَwillsاللَّهُAllah
And by the One in Whose hand is my soul, if he says: 'If Allah wills'.
نَفَقَةُspendingالرَّجُلِof a manعَلَىonأَهْلِهِhis familyيَحْتَسِبُهَاhe considers itصَدَقَةًa charity
The spending of a man on his family, he considers it a charity.
وَالَّذِيAnd whomنَفْسِيmy soulبِيَدِهِis in His hand,,لَاdo notتَدْخُلُواenterالْجَنَّةَthe Paradise
And by the One in Whose hand is my soul, do not enter Paradise.
نَهَىHe prohibitedأَنْthatيَقُولَone should sayالرَّجُلُa manقَطْعًاdefinitely.
He prohibited that a man should definitely say.
وَالَّذِيAnd whomنَفْسِيmy soulبِيَدِهِ,{لَاdo notتَذْهَبُlet the summerالدُّنْيَاworld
And by the One in Whose hand is my soul, do not let the world go away.
نَوْمُThe sleepالصَّائِمِof the fasting personتَسْبِيحٌis glorification.
The sleep of the fasting person is glorification.
نَوْمُThe sleepالْعَالِمِof the scholarتَسْبِيحٌis glorification.
The sleep of the scholar is glorification.
وَالْفَرَجُAnd the reliefيُصَدِّقُconfirmsذَلِكَthatأَوْorيُكَذِّبُهُdenies it.
And the relief confirms that or denies it.
وَاللَّهُAnd Allahإِنِّيindeed IلَأَرْجُوhopeأَنْthatأَكُونَI may be.
And Allah, indeed I hope to be.
وَاللَّهُAnd AllahلَأَطُوفَنَّI will surely circumambulateاللَّيْلَةَtonightعَلَىaroundمِئَةٍa hundredامْرَأَةٍof women.
And by Allah, I will surely circumambulate around a hundred women tonight.
هَذَاThisجِبْرِيلُGabrielجَاءَكُمْhas come to youيُعَلِّمُكُمْteaching you.
This is Gabriel, he has come to you teaching you.
وَاللَّهُAnd Allahلَاindeed do notيُؤْمِنُbelieve.وَاللَّهُAnd Allahلَاindeed do notيُؤْمِنُbelieve.
And Allah, indeed do not believe; and Allah, indeed do not believe.
وَاللَّهُAnd AllahيَاOرَسُولَMessengerاللَّهِof Allah,,مَاnotأَتَيْتُكَI have come to youحَتَّىuntil
And by Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I did not come to you until.
هَلDoتَدْرُونَyou knowمَاwhatالإِيمَانُthe faithبِاللَّهِin Allahوَحْدَهُalone?
Do you know what it means to have faith in Allah alone?
وَأَنَاAnd Iأَزِيدُكُمْwill increase youخَمْسًاfive thingsفَتَتِمُّso you completeلَكُمْfor youعَشْرُونَtwenty.
And I will increase you five things so you can complete twenty.
هَلَاCould youشَقَقْتَsplit openعَنْaboutقَلْبِهِhis heart?
Could you not split open his heart?
هُمَاThey areفِيinالأَجْرِthe rewardسَوَاءٌequals.
They are equal in the reward.
هُوَHe isالرَّجُلُthe manيُصَلِّيwho praysوَيَصُومُand fastsوَيَتَصَدَّقُand gives charity.
He is the man who prays, fasts, and gives charity.
هُوَHe isالسَّلاَمُpeace.
He is peace.
هُوَHe isلَكَfor youيَاOعَبْدَslaveابْنَson ofزَمْعَةَZam'ah.
He is for you, O slave son of Zam'ah.
وَإِنَّاAnd indeedإِنْ شَاءَif Allah willsاللَّهَAllahبِكُمْwith youلَاحِقُونَwe will join.
And indeed, if Allah wills, we will join you.
وَتَشْهَدِينَAnd you bear witnessأَنْthatالْجَنَّةَthe Paradiseحَقٌّis true.
And you bear witness that Paradise is true.
وَتَشْهَدِينَAnd you bear witnessأَنْthatاللَّهَAllahيَبْعَثُكَwill resurrect you.
And you bear witness that Allah will resurrect you.
وَتَشْهَدِينَAnd you bear witnessأَنْthatمُحَمَّدًاMuhammadرَسُولَis the Messengerاللَّهِof Allah.
And you bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
