لَيْسَNotمُرَادَهُhis intentionأَنَّهُthatمِنْwhoلَمْdid notيَفْعَلْdoذَٰلِكَthatلَمْnotيَبْقَremainمَعَهُwith himمِنْofالإِيمَانِfaithشَيْءٍanything,,بَلْbutلَفْظَthe wordingالْحَدِيثِof the hadithإِنَّمَاonlyيَدُلُّindicatesعَلَىonالْمَعْنَىthe meaningالأَوَّلِthe first
His intention is not that whoever does not do that, nothing remains with him of faith, but the wording of the hadith only indicates the first meaning.
فَصْلٌSection..
Section.
وَمِنْAnd fromهَذَاthisالْبَابِcategoryلَفْظَthe wordingالْكُفْرِof disbeliefوَالنِّفَاقِand hypocrisy,,فَالكُفْرُdisbeliefإِذَاwhenذُكِرَmentionedمُفَرَدًاindividuallyفِيinوَعِيدِthe warningالْآخِرَةِof the Hereafter,,دَخَلَincludesفِيهِin itالْمُنافِقُونَthe hypocrites,,كَقَوْلِهِas in His saying::﴿وَمَن(And whoever)يَكْفُرْdisbelievesبِالإِيمَانِin faithفَقَدْhas indeedحَبِطَnullifiedعَمَلُهُhis deedsوَهُوَand he isفِيinالْآخِرَةِthe Hereafterمِنَofالْخَاسِرِينَ)the losers)
And from this category is the wording of disbelief and hypocrisy. Disbelief, when mentioned individually in the warning of the Hereafter, includes the hypocrites, as in His saying: (And whoever disbelieves in faith, has indeed nullified his deeds, and he is in the Hereafter of the losers).
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::(وَمَن(And whoever)يَكْفُرْdisbelievesبِاللَّهِin Allahوَمَلَائِكَتِهِand His angelsوَكُتُبِهِand His booksوَرُسُلِهِand His messengersوَالْيَوْمِand the Dayالْآخِرِof the Hereafterفَقَدْhas indeedضَلَّgone astrayضَلَالًاastrayبَعِيدًا)far away).
And His saying: (And whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers and the Day of the Hereafter has indeed gone astray far away).
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::لَاNotيَصْلَنَّهَاwill enter itإِلَّاexceptالْأَشْقَىthe most miserable))الَّذِيwhoكَذَّبَdeniedوَتَوَلَّى)and turned away).
And His saying: (Not will enter it except the most miserable, who denied and turned away).
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::(كُلَّمَا(Whenever)أُلْقِيَis castفِيهَاin itفَوْجٌa groupسَأَهُمْthey ask themخَزَنَتُهَاits keepersأَلَمْHave notيَأْتِكُمْthere come to youنَذِيرٌa warner,,قَالُواthey said::بَلَىIndeedقَدْhadجَاءَنَاcome to usنَذِيرٌa warnerفَكَذَّبْنَاand we deniedوَقُلْنَاand saidمَاwhatنَزَّلَhas been revealedاللَّهُAllahمِنofشَيْءٍanythingإِنْifأَنتُمْyou areإِلَّاexceptفِيinضَلَالٍmisguidanceكَبِيرٍ)great)
And His saying: (Whenever a group is cast into it, its keepers ask them: 'Have not a warner come to you?' They said: 'Indeed, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said: 'What has been revealed by Allah is nothing but in great misguidance).
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::﴿وَسِيقَ(And those who disbelieved were driven)الَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُواdisbelievedإِلَىtoجَهَنَّمَHellزُمَرًاin groupsحَتَّىuntilإِذَاwhenجَاءُوهَاthey came to itفُتِحَتْits doors were openedأَبْوَابُهَاand its keepers saidوَقَالَAnd they saidلَهُمْto themخَزَنَتُهَاits keepersأَلَمْDid notيَأْتِكُمْcome to youرُسُلٌmessengersمِّنكُمْfrom youيَتْلُونَwho recitedعَلَيْكُمْto youءَايَاتِthe versesرَبِّكُمْof your Lordوَيُنذِرُونَكُمْand warned youلِقَاءَof the meetingيَوْمِكُمْof your dayهَذَاthisقَالُواThey saidبَلَىIndeedوَلَكِنbutحَقَّتْthe wordكَلِمَةُof punishment has comeالْعَذَابِupon the disbelievers.عَلَىuponالْكَافِرِينَ))
And His saying: (And those who disbelieved were driven to Hell in groups until when they came to it, its doors were opened and its keepers said to them: 'Did not messengers come to you from yourselves, who recited the verses of your Lord and warned you of the meeting of this day?' They said: 'Indeed, but the word of punishment has come upon the disbelievers).
قِيلَIt will be saidادْخُلُواEnterأَبْوَابَthe doors ofجَهَنَّمَHell.خَالِدِينَYou will remain therein forever.فِيIn itفَبِئْسَSo it is an evilمَثْوًىplace of abodeلِلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ))
It will be said: 'Enter the doors of Hell, you will remain therein forever.' So it is an evil place of abode for the arrogant.
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::﴿وَمَنْ(And who isأَظْلَمُmore unjustمِمَّنِthan the one whoافْتَرَىfalsely attributedعَلَىto Allahاللَّهِlies?كَذِبًًاand deniesأَوْorكَذَّبَdeniesبِالْحَقِّthe truthلَمَّاwhen it came to him?جَاءَهُIs there not inأَلَيْسَHellفِيa resting placeجَهَنَّمَfor the disbelievers?)
And His saying: (And who is more unjust than the one who falsely attributes lies to Allah or denies the truth when it came to him? Is there not in Hell a resting place for the disbelievers?)
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::﴿وَمَنْ(And whoever)أَعْرَضَturns awayعَنْfromذِكْرِيmy remembrance.فَإِنَّSo indeedلَمُthe punishment will beمَعِيشَةًa lifeضَنكًاfilled with hardshipوَنَحْشُرُهُand we will gather himيَوْمَon the dayالْقِيَامَةِof Resurrectionأَعْمَى)blind.
And His saying: (And whoever turns away from my remembrance, indeed the punishment will be a life filled with hardship, and we will gather him on the day of Resurrection blind).
قَالَHe will sayرَبِّيMy Lord,,لِمَWhyحَشَرْتَنِيhave you gathered meأَعْمَىblindوَقَدْwhile Iكُنتُwasبَصِيرًا؟sighted?
He will say: 'My Lord, why have you gathered me blind while I was sighted?'
قَالَHe will say::كَذَٰلِكَThusأَنَّتَكَit is,وَايْتُنَاand we forgotفَنَسِينَاthat you forgot her,,وَكَذَٰلِكَand soالْيَوْمَtodayنُنَسَّىwe will forget you.وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd soنَجْزِيwe punishمَنْwhoeverأَسْرَفَtransgressedوَلَمْand did notيُؤْمِنْbelieveبِشَيَـٰاتِin the signsرَبِّهِof his Lord.وَلَعَذَابُAnd certainly the punishmentالْآخِرَةِof the Hereafterأَشَدُّis more severeوَأَبْقَىً)and everlasting.)
He will say: 'Thus it is, and we forgot that you forgot it, and so today we will forget you. And so we punish whoever transgressed and did not believe in the signs of his Lord. And certainly, the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and everlasting.)
وَقَوْلُهُAnd His saying::﴿إِنَّ(Indeed,الَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُواdisbelievedمِنْfromأَهْلِthe people ofالْكِتَابِthe Bookوَالْمُشْرِكِينَand the polytheistsفِيinنَارِthe fire ofجَهَنَّمَHellخَالِدِينَwill remain foreverفِيهَاin it.أُوْلَـٰئِكَThose areهُمْtheyشَرُّthe worstالْبَرِيَّةِof creatures.
And His saying: (Indeed, those who disbelieved from the people of the Book and the polytheists will remain forever in the fire of Hell. Those are they who are the worst of creatures.)
وَأَمْثَالُAnd similarهَذِهِtheseالنُّصُوصِtextsكَثِيرٌare manyفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quran.
And similar texts are many in the Quran.
فَهَذِهِSo theseكُلُّهَاallيَدْخُلُincludeفِيهَاthemالْمُنَافِقُونَthe hypocritesالَّذِينَwhoهُمْareفِيinالْبَاطِنِthe hiddenكَفَّارٌdisbelieversلَيْسَare notمَعَهُمْwith themمِنْofالإيمانِfaithشَيْءٍanything.,,كَمَاasيَدْخُلُalso includeفِيهَاthemالْكُفَّارُthe disbelieversالْمُظَاهِرُونَwho manifest their disbelief.,,بَلْbutالْمُنَافِقُونَthe hypocritesفِيareالدَّرَكِin the lowest٤٧(47)
So these all include the hypocrites who are, in their essence, disbelievers; they have nothing of faith with them, just as they also include the disbelievers who manifest their disbelief, but the hypocrites are in the lowest (47).
