And as for those who interpreted it as obligatory, that is, on the explanation of its uprightness and the evidence.

But in its being the intended meaning by the verse, there is a consideration.
لِأَنَّهُBecause itحُذِفَomittedفِيinغَيْرِother thanمَوْضِعٍa placeصَحِيحٍthat is correct..
Because it was omitted in other than a valid place.

The evidence. And the mentioned omission was not composed to indicate it if omitted. Unlike the working condition if it occurs as a description. For it is omitted in a familiar and known manner, to the extent that it is not mentioned at all.
فَإِذَاSo ifقُلْتَyou saidلَهُto himدِرْهَمًa dirhamعَلَىonكَانَit wasالْحَذْفُthe omissionمَعْرُوفًاknownمَأْلُوفًاfamiliar.فَلَوْIfأَرَدْتَyou intended:عَلَىonنَقْدِهِhis cash,,أَوْorعَلَىonوَزْنِهِhis weightوَحِفْظِهِand his preservation,,وَنَحْوَand so onذَٰلِكَthat.وَحُذِفَتْAnd omitted.لَمْIt did notيَسُغْbecome permissible.وَهُوَAnd it isنَظِيرٌsimilar to::عَلَىOnبَيَانِهِits explanation.الْمُقَدَّرِdeterminedفِيinالْآيَةِthe verse,مَعَwithأَنَّthatالَّذِيwhatقَالَهُwas saidالسَّلَفُby the predecessorsأَلَيْقٌmore appropriateبِالسِّياقِto the context.وَأَجَلُّAnd the noblestالْمَعْنَيَيْنِof the meaningsوَأَكْبَرُهُمَاand the greatest of them..
So if you say to him, 'a dirham on,' the omission is known and familiar. If you intended: 'on his cash, or on his weight and preservation, and so on,' and omitted, it did not become permissible. And it is similar to: 'on its explanation,' as determined in the verse, with what the predecessors said being more appropriate to the context and the noblest and greatest of the meanings.

And I heard the Sheikh of Islam Taqi al-Din Ahmad bin Taimiyyah, may Allah be pleased with him, say: 'And they are similar to the saying of Him the Exalted: Indeed, upon Us is guidance, and indeed, to Us is the Hereafter and the first.' (1) He said: 'These are three places in the Quran regarding this meaning.'
قُلْتُI said::وَأَكْثَرُAnd mostالْمُفَسِّرِينَof the interpretersلَمْdid notيَذْكُرُواmentionفِيinسُورَةِthe chapter( وَاللَّيْلِ(and the nightإِذَاwhenيَغْشَىit enfolds)إِلَّاexceptمَعْنَىthe meaningالْوُجُوبِof obligation,,أَيْthat isعَلَيْنَاupon usبَيَانِthe explanationالْهُدَىof guidanceمِنْfromالضَّلاَلِmisguidanceوَمِنْهُمْand among themمَنْwhoلَمْdid notيَذْكُرُواmentionفِيinسُورَةِthe chapterالنَّحْلِ»(the Bee)
I said: And most of the interpreters did not mention in the chapter (and the night when it enfolds) except the meaning of obligation, that is, upon us is the explanation of guidance from misguidance, and among them were those who did not mention in the chapter (the Bee) except this meaning, like al-Baghawi.

And he mentioned in (the Stone) the three sayings. And al-Wahidi mentioned in his book 'Basyta' the two meanings in the chapter (the Bee).

And our Sheikh chose the saying of Mujahid and al-Hasan in the three chapters.
وَالصِّرَاطُAnd the straight pathالْمُسْتَقِيمُis the straight path.هُوَIt isصِرَاطُthe pathاللَّهِof Allah.وَهُوَAnd it informsيُخْبِرُthat the pathأَنَّthatالصِّرَاطَthe pathعَلَيْهِupon Himسُبْحَانَهُthe Exalted.كَمَاAsذَكَرْنَاwe mentioned,,وَيُخْبِرُand it informsأَنَّهُthat Heسُبْحَانَهُthe Exaltedعَلَىuponالصِّرَاطِthe straight path.الْمُسْتَقِيمِthe straight path.وَهَذَاAnd thisفِيinمَوْضِعَيْنِtwo placesمِنْfromالْقُرْآنِthe Quran:فِيفِيهُودٍHud,,وَالنَّحْلِand the Bee.قالَHe said:فِيInهُودٍHud:مَاWhatمِنْofدَابَّةٍcreatureإِلَّاexceptهُوَHe isآخِذٌtakingبِناَصِيَتِهَاby its forelock,إِنَّIndeedرَبِّيmy Lordعَلَىuponصِرَاطٍa pathمُسْتَقِيمٍstraight.(۲)وَقَالَAnd He saidفِيinالنَّحْلِthe Bee:وَضَرَبَAnd He setاللَّهُAllahمَثَلًاan example:رَجُلَيْنِtwo men,أَحَدُهُمَاone of them isأَبْكَمُmuteلَاnotيَقْدِرُcapableعَلَىofشَيْءٍanything,وَهُوَand he isكَلٌّa burdenعَلَىuponمَوْلَاهُhis master,أَيْنَمَاwheneverيُوَجِّهُهُhe directs himلَاnotيَأْتِيcomesبِخَيْرٍwith good,هَلIsيَسْتَوِيhe equalهُوَhe isوَمَنْand one whoيَأْمُرُcommandsبِالْعَدْلِwith justiceوَهُوَand he isعَلَىuponصِرَاطٍa pathمُسْتَقِيمٍstraight.(1)(1)
And the straight path is the straight path of Allah. It informs that the path is upon Him, as we mentioned, and it informs that He, the Exalted, is upon the straight path. This is in two places from the Quran: in Hud, and the Bee. He said in Hud: 'What creature is there, except that He is taking by its forelock; indeed my Lord is upon a straight path.' (2) And He said in the Bee: 'And Allah set forth an example: two men, one of them is mute, not capable of anything, and he is a burden upon his master; whenever he directs him, he does not come with good. Is he equal to one who commands with justice and is upon a straight path.' (1)
