The infallibility of its speaker
بِدَلِيلٍwith evidenceمَعْلُومٍknownمِنْfromالنَّقْلِthe transmissionالْمُصَدَّقِverifiedعَنْaboutالْقَائِلِthe speakerالْمَعْصُومِthe infallible
is based on a known evidence from the verified transmission about the infallible speaker.
أَيْنَWhereالْأَقْوَالُare the statementsالَّتِيthatأَعْلَىhighestدَرَجَاتِهَاin their degrees:is
Where are the statements whose highest degree is:
أَنْthatتَكُونَthey areسَائِغَةَpermissible inالِْاتِّبَاعِfollowing,,مِنْcompared toالنُّصُوصِthe texts
that they are permissible to follow, compared to the texts
الْوَاجِبَةِthat are obligatoryعَلَىuponكُلِّeveryمُسْلِمٍMuslimتَقْدِيمُهَاto prioritize themوَتَحْكِيمُهَاand make them arbitersوَالتَّحَاكُمُand seek judgmentإِلَيْهَاthrough themفِيinمَحَلِّthe placeالنِّزَاعِof dispute?
that every Muslim is obliged to prioritize, arbitrate by, and seek judgment from in times of dispute?
أَيْنَWhereالْآرَاءُare the opinionsالَّتِيthatتُحَصِّنُprotectقَائِلَهَاtheir speakerعَنْfromتَقْلِيدِهِblindly following himفِيهَاin themوَحَذَرٍand caution(١)(1),,
Where are the opinions that protect their speaker from unquestioning imitation and caution,
مِنْcompared toالنُّصُوصِthe textsالَّتِيthatفُرِضَتْwere mandatedعَلَىuponكُلِّeveryعَبْدٍservantأَنْtoيَهْتَدِيَbe guidedبِهَاby themوَيَتَبَصَّرَand gain insight?
compared to the texts that every servant has been mandated to be guided by and gain insight from?
أَيْنَWhereالْمَذَاهِبُare the schools of thoughtالَّتِيthatإِذَاwhenمَاتَdiesمُؤَسِّسُهَاtheir founderفَهِيَthey areمِنْamongجُمْلَةِthe totalityالْأَمْوَاتِof the dead,,
Where are the schools of thought that, when their founder dies, become part of the dead,
مِنْcompared toالنُّصُوصِthe textsالَّتِيthatلَاdo notتَزُولُperishإِذَاeven ifزَالَتِperishedالْأَرْضُthe earthوَالسَّمَاوَاتُand the heavens?
compared to the texts that do not perish even if the earth and the heavens perish?
سُبْحَانَGlory beاللَّهِto Allah!!مِشْكَاتُهُWhat is His niche
Glory be to Allah! What is His niche
مَاذَاWhatحَرَمَhave deprivedالْمُعَرِّضُونَthose who turn awayعَنْfromنُصُوصِthe textsالْوَحْيِof revelation,,
have those who turn away from the texts of revelation been deprived of,
وَاقْتِبَاسِand from acquiringالْعِلْمِknowledgeمِنْfromكُنُوزِthe treasuresالذَّخَائِرِof stores?!!
and from acquiring knowledge from the treasured storehouses?!
وَمَاذَاAnd whatفَاتَتْهُمْhave they missedمِنْofحَيَاةِthe lifeالْقُلُوبِof heartsوَاسْتِنَارَةِand the enlightenmentالْبَصَائِرِof insights?!!
And what have they missed of the life of the hearts and the enlightenment of insights?!
قَنِعُواThey settledبِأَقْوَالٍfor statementsاسْتَنْبَطَتْهَاderived byمَعَاوِلُthe pickaxesالْآرَاءِof opinionsالْفِكْرِيَّةُof thought,,
They settled for statements extracted by the pickaxes of intellectual opinions,
وَتَقَطَّعُواand they fragmentedأَمْرَهُمْtheir affairبَيْنَهُمْamong themselvesلِأَجْلِهَاbecause of itزُبُرًاinto sects..
and they fragmented their religious affair among themselves because of it into sects.
وَأَوْحَىAnd inspiredبَعْضُهُمْsome of themإِلَىtoبَعْضٍothersزُخْرُفَadornedالْقَوْلِspeechغُرُورًاas delusion..
And some of them inspired to others adorned speech as a delusion.
فَاتَّخَذُواSo they tookلِأَجْلِdue toذَلِكَthatالْقُرْآنَthe Quranمَهْجُورًاas abandoned..
Consequently, they treated the Quran as something abandoned.
دَرَسَتْWorn out were(٢)(2)مَعَالِمُthe landmarksالْقُرْآنِof the Quranفِيinقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsفَلَيْسُواso they do notيَعْرِفُونَهَاknow them..
Worn out were the landmarks of the Quran in their hearts, so they do not know them.
وَكَثُرَتْAnd abundant becameمَعَاهِدُهَاits study circlesعِنْدَهُمْamong themفَلَيْسُواyet they do notيُعَمِّرُونَهَاrevive them..
And abundant became its study circles among them, yet they do not revive them.
وَوَقَعَتْAnd fallenأَلْوِيَتُهَاwere its bannersوَأَعْلَامُهَاand standardsمِنْfromأَيْدِيهِمْtheir handsفَلَيْسُواso they do notيَرْفَعُونَهَاraise them..
And fallen were its banners and standards from their hands, so they do not raise them.
وَأَفَلَتْAnd setكَوَاكِبُهَاwere its starsالنِّيرَةُluminousمِنْfromآفَاقِthe horizonsنُفُوسِهِمْof their soulsفَلِذَلِكَand thusلَاthey do notيُحِبُّونَهَاlove it..
And its luminous stars set from the horizons of their souls, and thus they do not love it.
وَكُسِفَتْAnd eclipsedشَمْسُهَاwas its sunعِنْدَuponاجْتِمَاعِthe gatheringظُلَمِof the darknessآرَائِهِمْof their opinionsوَعَقَدِهَاand its knotsفَلَيْسُواso they do notيُبْصِرُونَهَاsee it..
And its sun was eclipsed upon the gathering of the darkness of their opinions and ties, so they do not see it.
خَلَعُواThey strippedنُصُوصَthe textsالْوَحْيِof revelationعَنْofسُلْطَانِthe authorityالْحَقِيقَةِof truth,,
They stripped the texts of revelation of the authority of truth,
وَعَزَلُوهَاand isolated themعَنْfromوِلَايَةِthe guardianshipالْيَقِينِof certainty..
and isolated them from the guardianship of certainty.
وَشَنُّواAnd they launchedعَلَيْهَاagainst itغَزَوَاتِthe raidsالتَّأْوِيلَاتِof interpretationsالْبَاطِلَةِfalse..
And they launched against it the raids of false interpretations.
فَلَاAnd stillيَزَالُit continuesيَخْرُجُto emergeعَلَيْهَاagainst itمِنْfromجُيُوشِهِمْtheir armies..
And armies from them continue to emerge against it.
فَإِنَّFor indeedأَئِمَّةَthe Imamsالْهُدَىof guidanceرَضِيَmay Allah be pleasedاللَّهُAllahعَنْهُمْwith them,,
For indeed, the Imams of guidance, may Allah be pleased with them,
قَدْhaveنَهَوْاforbiddenالنَّاسَthe peopleوَحَذَّرُوهُمْand warned themمِنْagainstتَقْلِيدِهِمْblindly following themفِيinدِينِthe religionاللَّهِof Allah..
have forbidden the people and warned them against blindly following them in the religion of Allah.
وَأَمَرُوهُمْAnd they commanded themبِعَرْضِto presentكَلَامِهِمْtheir speechعَلَىtoنُصُوصِthe textsكِتَابِof the Bookاللَّهِof Allahوَسُنَّةِand the Sunnahرَسُولِof the Messengerاللَّهِof Allahصَلَّىmay Allah invoke peaceاللَّهُand blessingsعَلَيْهِupon himوَسَلَّمَand grant him security..
And they commanded them to present their statements to the texts of the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
فَإِنْIf itوَافَقَتْagreed,,وَإِلَّاand if notفَلْيَضْرِبُواthen let them castبِكَلَامِهِمْtheir statementعَرْضَagainst the face ofالْحَائِطِthe wall..
If it agreed, well and good; otherwise, let them cast their statement against the wall.
تَلَاشَتْThey have vanishedوَانْقَرَضَتْand become extinct..
They have vanished and become extinct.
