qasas anbiya yusuf as

وَهُنَاAnd hereوَقَفَstoodيُوسُفُYusufوَسَأَلَهُمَا:and asked them:

تَقُولُونَYou sayرَبُّLordالْبِرِّof the landوَرَبُّand Lordالْبَحْرِof the seaوَرَبُّand Lordالرِّزْقِof sustenanceوَرَبُّand Lordالْمَطَرِ،of rain,وَنَحْنُand we

نَقُولُsayاللَّهُAllahرَبُّis Lordالْعَالَمِينَ.of all creation.

أَأَرْبَابٌAre lordsمُتَفَرِّقُونَvariousخَيْرٌbetterأَمِorاللَّهُAllahالْوَاحِدُthe Oneالْقَهَّارُ؟the All-Dominant?

أَيْنَWhere isرَبُّthe Lordالْبِرِّof the landوَرَبُّand the Lordالْبَحْرِof the seaوَرَبُّand the Lordالرِّزْقِof sustenanceوَرَبُّand the Lordالْمَطَرِ؟of rain?

أَرُونِيShow meمَاذَاwhatخَلَقُواthey createdمِنَofالْأَرْضِthe earthأَمْorلَهُمْdo they haveشِرْكٌa shareفِيinالسَّمَاوَاتِ؟the heavens?

انْظُرُواLookإِلَىatالْأَرْضِthe earthوَإِلَىand atالسَّمَاءِthe skyوَانْظُرُواand lookإِلَىatالْإِنْسَانِ.mankind.

هَذَاThis isخَلْقُthe creationاللَّهِof Allahفَأَرُونِيso show meمَاذَاwhatخَلَقَcreatedالَّذِينَthoseمِنْbesidesدُونِهِ؟Him?

وَكَيْفَAnd howرَبُّis the Lordالْبِرِّof the landوَرَبُّand the Lordالْبَحْرِof the seaوَرَبُّand the Lordالرِّزْقِof sustenanceوَرَبُّand the Lordالْمَطَرِ؟of rain?

أَسْمَاءٌNamesسَمَّيْتُمُوهَاyou namedأَنْتُمْyouوَآبَاؤُكُمْand your fathers

الْحُكْمُThe judgmentلِلَّهِ،is for Allah,الْمُلْكُthe dominionلِلَّهِ،is for Allah,الْأَرْضُthe earthلِلَّهِ،is Allah's,الْأَمْرُthe commandلِلَّهِ.is Allah's.

لَاDo notتَعْبُدُواworshipإِلَّاexceptإِيَّاهُHimذَلِكَthat isالدِّينُthe religionالْقَيِّمُstraightوَلَكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَmostالنَّاسِpeopleلَاdo notيَعْلَمُونَknow.

١٢12--تَأْوِيلُInterpretationالرُّؤْيَاof the dream

وَلَمَّاAnd whenفَرَغَfinishedيُوسُفُYusufمِنْfromمَوْعِظَتِهِhis sermonأَخْبَرَهُمَاhe informed themبِتَأْوِيلِof the interpretationالرُّؤْيَا.of the dream.

قَالَ:He said:أَمَّا'As forأَحَدُكُمَاone of youفَيَسْقِيhe will giveرَبَّهُhis lordخَمْرًاwineوَأَمَّاand as forالْآخَرُthe otherفَيُصْلَبُhe will be crucifiedفَتَأْكُلُso eatالطَّيْرُthe birdsمِنْfrom
