فَقَالَSo he saidفِيinكِبْرٍarroganceوَجَبَرُوتٍand tyranny﴿[آمَنْتُمْyou believedبِهِۦin himقَبْلَbeforeأَنْthatأَذَنَI permitلَكُمْyou﴾]
So he said in arrogance and tyranny: "Have you believed in him before I permit you?"
وَرَمَاهُمْAnd he shot themفِرْعَوْنُPharaohبِسَهْمٍwith an arrowمِنْfromسِهَامِthe arrowsالْمُلُوكِof kingsفَقَالَand said﴿[إِنَّهُIndeed, heلَكَبِيرُكُمُis your chiefالَّذِيwhoعَلَّمَكُمُtaught youالسِّحْرَmagic!!﴾]
And Pharaoh shot them with an arrow from the arrows of kings and said: "Indeed, he is your chief who taught you magic!"
وَرَمَاهُمْAnd he shot themبِسَهْمٍwith an arrowثَانٍsecondفَقَالَand saidإِنَّIndeed,هَٰذَاthisلَمَكْرٌis a plotمَّكَرْتُمُوهُwhich you have plottedفِيinالْمَدِينَةِthe cityلِتُخْرِجُواto drive outمِنْهَاfrom itأَهْلَهَاits peopleفَسَوْفَand soonتَعْلَمُونَyou will know﴾]
And he shot them with a second arrow and said: "Indeed, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people; and soon you will know."
ثَالِثٌThird
Third
وَرَمَاهُمْAnd he shot themبِسَهْمٍwith an arrowثَالِثٍthirdمُسَمُومٍpoisoned،,هُوَit isالسَّهْمُthe arrowالْأَخِيرُlastفِيinكِنَانَةِthe quiverالْمُلُوكِof kings::لَأُقَطِّعَنَّI will surely cut offأَيْدِيَكُمْyour handsوَأَرْجُلَكُمْand your feetمِنْfromخِلَافٍopposite sidesثُمَّthenلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْI will surely crucify youأَجْمَعِينَall))
And he shot them with a third, poisoned arrow, which is the last arrow in the quiver of kings: "I will surely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides, then I will surely crucify you all."
وَتَلَقَّىAnd they receivedالْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersالسِّهَامَthe arrowsكُلَّهَاall of themبِجُنَّةِwith a shieldالْإِيمَانِof faithوَالصَّبْرِand patience،,وَقَالُواand they saidلَاnoضَيْرَharmإِنَّاindeed weإِلَىٰtoرَبِّنَاour Lordمُنقَلِبُونَare returning. Indeed we hopeإِنَّاthatنَطْمَعُour Lordأَنwill forgiveيَغْفِرَusلَنَاour sinsرَبُّنَاsince we wereخَطَايَانَاthe first to believe.أَنْكُنَّاأَوَّلَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
And the believers received all the arrows with the shield of faith and patience, and they said: "No harm, indeed we are returning to our Lord. Indeed, we hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins since we were the first to believe."
وَقَالُواAnd they saidفِيinإِيمَانٍfaithوَحَمَاسَةٍand enthusiasm::﴿[إِنَّاIndeed, weآمَنَّاhave believedبِرَبِّنَاin our Lordلِيَغْفِرَso He may forgiveلَنَاusخَطَايَانَاour sinsوَمَاand whatأَكْرَهْتَنَاyou compelled usعَلَيْهِto doمِنَofالسِّحْرِmagic.وَاللَّهُAnd Allahخَيْرٌis betterوَأَبْقَىٰand more enduring.إِنَّهُIndeed, whoeverمَنْcomesيَأْتِto his Lordرَبَّهُas a criminalمُجْرِمًاthen indeedفَإِنَّfor himلَهُis Hellجَهَنَّمَin which he will neitherلَاdieيَمُوتُnor live.فِيهَاBut whoeverوَلَاcomes to Himيَحْيِيas a believerۖوَمَنْhaving done righteous deedsيَأْتِهِthen those will haveمُؤْمِنًاthe highest ranks.قَدْGardens of perpetuityعَمِلَbeneath which flowالصَّالِحَاتِthe rivers, abiding eternallyفَأُولَٰئِكَtherein.لَهُمُAnd that isالدَّرَجَاتُthe rewardالْعُلَىٰof those who purify themselves.جَنَّاتُعَدْنٍتَجْرِيمِنْتَحْتِهَاالْأَنْهَارُخَالِدِينَفِيهَاۚوَذَٰلِكَجَزَاءُمَنْتَزَكَّىٰ﴾]
And they said in faith and enthusiasm: "Indeed, we have believed in our Lord so He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us to do of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring. Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal - then indeed, for him is Hell, in which he will neither die nor live. But whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous deeds - then those will have the highest ranks. Gardens of perpetuity beneath which flow the rivers, abiding eternally therein. And that is the reward of those who purify themselves."
