response to those who say heaven and hell will perish ibn taymiyyah

فَإِذَاSo ifأَنْفَذَهُhe carried it outالرَّجُلُthe manفَقَدْthenنَفَذَhe executedمَاwhatعِندَهُhe has.إِنIfكَانَhe wasلَمnotيُعْدَمhe deprived,بَلْbutيُعْدَمhe is deprived,بَلْbutانْتَقَلَhe transitionedمِنfromحَالٍstateإِلَىtoحَالٍstate.

So if the man carried it out, then he executed what he has. If he was not deprived, but is deprived, then he transitioned from one state to another.

وَفِيAnd inتَفْسِيرِthe interpretationعَلِيِّof Aliبْنَson ofأَبِيAbuطَلْحَةَTalhaالْوَالِبِيِّthe WalibiعَنْfromابْنِIbnعَبَّاسٍAbbasوَهُوَand he isمَعْرُوفٌwell-knownمَشْهُورٌfamous,يَنْقُلُtransmitsمِنْهُfrom himعَامَّةَmanyالْمُفَسِّرِينَof the interpretersالَّذِينَwhoيُسْنِدُونَattributeكَأَبْنِاءَlike IbnجَرِيرٍJarirالطَّبَرِيِّal-Tabari,وَابْنِand IbnأَبِيAbuحَاتِمٍHatim,وَعُثْمَانَand Uthmanبْنَson ofسَعِيدٍSaeedالْدَّارِيمِيِّal-Darimi,وَالْبَيْهَقِيِّand Al-Bayhaqiوَالَّذِينَand thoseيَذْكُرُونَmentionالإِسْنَادَthe chain of narrationمُجْمَلًاin summary,كَالثَّعْلَبِيِّlike Al-Thalabi,وَالْبَغَوِيِّand Al-Baghawi,وَالَّذِينَand thoseلَاdo notيُسْنِدُونَattributeكَالمَوْرِدِيِّlike Al-Mawardi,وَابْنِand Ibnالْجَوْزِيِّal-Jawzi,قَالَsaid:قَوْلُهُHis saying:النَّارُThe fireمَثْوَاكُمْis your abode,خَالِدِينَeternalفِيهَاin itإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatشَاءَwilledاللَّهُAllah.إِنَّIndeed,رَبَّكَyour Lordحَكِيمٌis Wise,عَلِيمٌAll-Knowing.

And in the interpretation of Ali son of Abu Talha Al-Walibi, from Ibn Abbas – who is well-known and famous, from whom many interpreters transmit, like Ibn Jareer Al-Tabari, and Ibn Abi Hatim, and Uthman son of Saeed Al-Darimi, and Al-Bayhaqi, and those who mention the chain of narration in summary, like Al-Thalabi and Al-Baghawi, and those who do not attribute, like Al-Mawardi and Ibn Al-Jawzi, he said: His saying: {The fire is your abode, eternally, in it, except what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise, All-Knowing}.

قَالَHe said:وَفِيAnd inهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِverseإِنَّهُIndeed itلَاshould notيَنْبَغِيbe judgedلِأَحَدٍby anyoneأَنْtoيَحْكُمَjudgeعَلَىonاللَّهِAllahفِيinخَلْقِهِHis creation,وَلَاnorيُنَزِّلَهُمْassign themجَنَّةًto paradiseوَلَاnorنَارًۭاto hell.

He said: 'And in this verse, indeed it should not be judged by anyone regarding Allah in His creation, nor assign them to paradise nor to hell.'

قَالَHe saidالطَّبَرِيُّAl-Tabari:وَرُوِيَAnd it was narratedعَنْfromابْنِIbnعَبَّاسٍAbbasأَنَّهُthat heكَانَwasيَتَأَوَّلُinterpretingفِيinهَذَاthisالِاسْتِثْنَاءِexception:

He said: 'And it was narrated from Ibn Abbas that he was interpreting in this exception:'.
