فَنَهَضَتْSo she stood up«أُمُّMother ofمازِنٍ»Mazinقائِلَةً:saying:«لَقَدِIndeed, Iاهْتَدَيْتُhave found——فِيinهَذاthisالصَّباحِmorning——إِلَىtoوادٍa valleyخَصِيبٍ،fertile,فِيinمَوْقِعٍa locationبَدِيعٍ،beautiful,لاnotيَبْعُدُfarعَنَّاfrom usكَثِيرًا،a lot,وَهوَand it isفِيinآخَرِanotherغابَةٍforest,صَغِيرَةٍ،small,وَأَرْضُهُand its landفِيinهَذِهِtheseالأَيَّامِdaysطِينِيَّةٌmuddy,رَطِبَةٌ،wet,فَهِيَso it isأَصْلَحُthe most suitableالْمَوادِّmaterialsلِبِناءِfor buildingجُدْرانِwallsبُيُوتِنا؛of our houses;لأَنَّهاbecause theyقَوِيَّةٌare strongلاnotتَهُدُّهاto be destroyed by them.
So Mother Mazin stood up saying: 'Indeed, I have found — in this morning — a fertile valley, in a beautiful location, not far from us, and it is in another small forest, and its land in these days is muddy and wet, so it is the most suitable materials for building the walls of our houses; because they are strong and not destroyed by the winds.'
وَنَحْنُand weالآنَnowفِيinفَصْلِseasonالْبُرْقُوقِ،of plums,وَلَدَيْناand we haveمُتَّسَعٌampleمِنَofالْوَقْتِ،time,لِتَشْييدِto buildدُورِنا،our homes,قَبْلَbeforeحُلُولِthe onset ofفَصْلِthe seasonالشِّتاءِ.of winter.
And we are now in the season of plums, and we have ample time to build our homes before the onset of winter.
فانْبَعَثَتْthen aroseأَصْواتٌvoicesعِدَّةٌseveralقائِلَةًsayingلَقَدْindeedأَصَبْتِyou have succeededفِيinاقْتِراحِكِyour suggestionياOأُمَّmotherمازِنٍMazinوَنَحْنُand weعَلَىuponرَأْيكِyour opinionفِيماin whatتُقَرِّرِينَyou decide
Then several voices arose, saying: "You have indeed succeeded in your suggestion, O Mother Mazin, and we are on your opinion in what you decide."
ثُمَّThenاسْتَأْنَفَتْresumed«أُمُّMotherمَشْغُولٍ»of a busy person
Then she resumed: "As long as the suggestion of Umm Mazin has met with a good reception from you all, I advise you not to waste any of your time on anything that has no benefit."
وَأَرَىand I seeأَنْthatتَذْهَبَyou goطائِفَةٌa groupمِنْكُنَّof youمَعَwith«أُمِّ مازِنٍ»Um Mazinفِيinصَباحِthe morningالْغَدِtomorrowعِنْدَماwhenتُشْرِقُrisesالشَّمْسُthe sunوَتُبَلِّلُand dampensالْمُرُوجَthe meadowsبِالنَّدَىwith the dewلِتَتَعَرَّفْنَto familiarizeمَوْقِعَthe locationالْوادِيthe valleyالْجَدِيدِthe new
And I see that a group of you should go with Um Mazin in the morning tomorrow, when the sun rises and dampens the meadows with dew, to familiarize yourselves with the location of the new valley.
وَلاAnd notيَفُوتُكُنَّyou miss——أَيَّتُهاOالْعَزِيزاتُthe honorable ones——أَنَّthatبِناءَthe constructionبَيْتِof the houseالنَّمْلِof the antلَيْسَis notمِنَfromالْهِناتِthe easy thingsالْهَيِّناتِ.the light things.فَهَلْSo haveعَرَفْتُنَّyou knownماذاwhatيَجْدُرُit is worthبِكُنَّfor youأَنْtoتَعْمَلْنَهُ،you do it,مُنْذُsinceالْآن؟now?
And do not let it slip away from you — O honorable ones — that the construction of the ant's house is not among the easy things. So have you known what it is worth for you to do it since now?
فَتَقَدَّمَتْThen she advanced«أُمُّ نَوْبَةَ»The 'Mother of the Shift'إِلَىtoوَسَطِthe centerالْقاعَةِ،of the hall,ثُمَّThenقالَتْ:she said:«إِنِّيI indeedأَعْلَمُknowذَلِكَthatحَقَّwith certaintyالْعِلْمِ،knowledge,فَإِنَّfor indeedأَوَّلَthe firstواجِبٍobligationعَلَيْنَا،upon us,هُوَisأَنْthatنَحْفِرَwe digفِيinالأَرْضِthe groundحُفَرًاpitsواسِعَةً،wide,حَيْثُwhereنُنْشِئُwe establishالْغُرَفَ،the rooms,وَنُشَيِّدُand we buildالأَرْوِقَةَ.the corridors.

So the mother of Nobah said: Yes, it is appropriate for us to build the new village in the same pattern of that old village, so we make in it stairways that hinder the movement of rain from entering the village and we build two floors, one above the other, until we secure what we store in our village from moisture, and we build in it houses and halls and suspended rooms, to fill them with grains and supplies for the coming winter.

فَقالَتْShe saidأُمُّMotherمَشْغُولٍBusyلَقَدْIndeedوَهَبَناHe has given usاللهُGodسُبْحَانَهُGlory be to HimآلاتٍToolsثَمِينَةًValuableلأَداءِTo performهَذِهِTheseالأَعْمالِWorksالْجَلِيلَةِGreatفَلْتَحْفِرْSo let it digكُلُّEveryواحِدَةٍOneمِنْكُنَّOf youأَرْضَEarthالْقَرْيَةِOf the villageالْجَدِيدَةِNewبِقَوائِمِهاWith its pillarsالسِّتِّThe sixوَلاAnd do notتُضِعْنَYou wasteشَيْئًاAnythingمِنْFromأَوْقاتِكُنَّYour timesعَبَثًا.Vainly.
She said, 'Mother of the busy: 'Indeed, God has given us — Glory be to Him — valuable tools to perform these great works. So let each one of you dig the land of the new village with its six pillars, and do not waste anything of your times in vain.'

ثُمَّThenاسْتَأْنَفَتْShe started«أُمُّ مَشْغُولٍ»"Um Muşghul"قائِلَةً:saying:«لَقَدْ"Indeed,حانَthe time has comeوَقْتُthe timeالتَّفَرُّقِ،for separation,بَعْدَafterأَنْthatجَنَّthe night has enveloped,اللَّيْلُ،the night,وَبَقِيتْand I have leftلِيfor meكَلِمَةٌ،a word,أُفْضِيI will discloseبِهاit to you,إِلَيْكُنَّ،to you,قَبْلَbeforeأَنْthatيَنْفَضَّthis gathersهَذاthisالاجْتِماعُmeetingالْحاشِدُ:the gathering:لَقَدْIndeed,كانَتْit wasفِكْرَةُthe idea ofالْهِجْرَةِ،immigration,مِنِfromاقْتِراحِthe suggestion of«أُمِّ"Umمازِنٍ»:Mazin":تِلْكِthatالنَّمْلَةِantالصَّغِيرَةِ،the small,الَّتِيthatفاقَتْsurpassed— عَلَى— onصِغَرِهاits smallness —كُلَّallنِمالِants ofالْقَرْيَةِthe villageذَكاءً.in cleverness.
Then Um Mashghool started saying: "Indeed, the time has come for separation, after the night has enveloped, and I have left a word for you, before this gathering disperses: Indeed, it was the idea of immigration, from the suggestion of Um Mazin: that small ant, which surpassed all the ants of the village in cleverness.
وَعِنْدِيAnd Iأَنَّهاthat sheجَدِيرَةٌis worthyأَنْtoتُصْبِحَbecomeمُهَنْدِسَةَengineerالْبَيْتِ،of the house,وَمُدِيرَةَand managerالْعَمَلِof the workفِيinإِنْشائِهِ،its construction,فَماذاSo whatتَرَيْنَdo you seeفِيinهَذا،this,ياOبَناتِdaughters ofالشَّيْصَبانِ.the Shaysban.
And I believe that she is worthy to become the engineer of the house, and the manager of the work in its construction, so what do you see about this, O daughters of the Shaysban.
فَصاحَتِspokeالنِّمالُthe antsكُلُّها،all of them,وَهِيَand she isذاهِبَةٌgoingإِلَىtoغُرُفاتِroomsالنَّوْمِ:of sleep:«أَصَبْتِ،You have succeeded,«ياO أُمَّMotherمَشْغُولٍ»،of the busy!»وَوُفِّقْتِAnd you have been guidedإِلَىtoالصَّوابِ،the right path,وَأُلْهِمْتِand you were inspired,الرُّشْدَthe guidanceوالَّسَّدادَ.and correctness.فَلْتَحْيَLong live«أُمُّMotherمازِنٍ»!Mazin!»فَلْتَحْيَLong live«أُمُّMotherمازِنٍ»!Mazin!»
