مِنَ
fromالشِّرْكِ
polytheismوَالْبِدَعِ
and innovationsوَالْخُرَافَاتِ،
and superstitions,From polytheism, innovations, and superstitions,
وَتَمَكَّنَ
and has taken holdمِنْهُمُ
of themالتَّحْرِيفُ
distortionوَالتَّشْبِيهُ،
and anthropomorphism,and distortion and anthropomorphism have taken hold of them,
وَتَغَلْغَلَ
and it penetratedفِي
intoنُفُوسِهِمْ
their soulsحَتَّى
untilلَمْ
did notتَبْقَ
remainand it penetrated their souls until there remained
بِحُكْمِ
by virtue ofمَا
whatجَاءَ
cameفِي
inالْحَدِيثِ
the authenticالصَّحِيحِ
hadithby virtue of what came in the authentic hadith:
"لَتَتْبَعُنَّ"You will surely follow
سُنَنَthe ways of
مَنْthose who
كَانَwere
قَبْلَكُمْ،before you,
إِلَخ"etc."
"You will surely follow the ways of those who were before you, etc."
بَلِيَّةً
a calamityمِنَ
amongالْبَلَايَا
the calamitiesوَلَا
and notفِتْنَةً
a trialمِنَ
amongالْفِتَنِ
the trialsno calamity among the calamities and no trial among the trials
إِلَّا
exceptوَطَائِفَةٌ
that a sectمِنْ
fromطَوَائِفِ
sects ofالْمُسْلِمِينَ
the Muslims- اسْماً -
- by name -تَخُوضُ
engagesفِيهَا
in itوَتَعَلَّقُ
and clingsبِهَا،
to it,except that a sect from the sects of Muslims - by name - engages in it and clings to it,
عَافَانَا
may Allah saveاللَّهُ
usسُبْحَانَهُ
glory be to Himعَنْ
fromذَلِكَ.
that.may Allah, glory be to Him, save us from that.
وَبِالْجُمْلَةِ
And in shortفَإِنَّ
indeedرَحْمَةَ
the mercy ofاللَّهِ
Allahتَعَالَى
the Most High- اقْتَضَتْ
- necessitatedبِعْثَةَ
the sending ofسَيِّدِ
the master ofالْأَنْبِيَاءِ
the prophetsمُحَمَّدِ
Muhammadبْنِ
son ofعَبْدِ
Abdullahاللَّهِ -
- Allahصَلَوَاتُ
may the prayers ofاللَّهِ
Allahوَسَلَامُهُ
and His peaceعَلَيْهِ -
be upon him -فِي
inالْجَزِيرَةِ
the Arabianالْعَرَبِيَّةِ،
Peninsula,And in short, indeed the mercy of Allah the Most High necessitated the sending of the master of the prophets, Muhammad son of Abdullah - may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him - in the Arabian Peninsula,
وَأَمْرَهُ
and His commanding himبِإِقَامَةِ
to establishالْمِلَّةِ
the religion ofالْحَنِيفِيَّةِ،
Hanifism,and His commanding him to establish the religion of Hanifism,
وَمُجَادَلَةَ
and to dispute withهَؤُلَاءِ
theseالْفِرَقِ
sectsالْبَاطِلَةِ
falseعَنْ
throughطَرِيقِ
the way ofالْقُرْآنِ
the Greatالْعَظِيمِ،
Quran,and to dispute with these false sects through the way of the Great Quran,
وَقَدْ
andكَانَ
wasالِاسْتِدْلَالُ
the argumentationفِي
inمُجَادَلَتِهِمْ
disputing with themبِالْمُسَلَّمَاتِ
with the axiomatic truthsالَّتِي
whichهِيَ
areبَقَايَا
the remnants ofالْمِلَّةِ
the religion ofالْإِبْرَاهِيمِيَّةِ،
Abraham,and the argumentation in disputing with them was with the axiomatic truths which are the remnants of the religion of Abraham,
لِيَتَحَقَّقَ
so thatإِلْزَامٌ
compelling proofوَيَقَعَ
and occurالْإِفْحَامُ.
the silencing.so that compelling proof is established and silencing occurs.

لَقَدْ
Indeedرَدَّ
refutedاللَّهُ
Allah- تَعَالَى -
- the Most High -عَلَى
the polytheistsالْمُشْرِكِينَ
andوَمُعْتَقَدَاتِهِمُ
their falseالْبَاطِلَةِ
beliefsبِشَتَّى
in variousالطُّرُقِ،
ways,وَبَيَانُهَا
and their explanationكَمَا
is asيَلِي.
follows.Indeed, Allah - the Most High - refuted the polytheists and their false beliefs in various ways, and their explanation is as follows.
1 - First: demanding proof from them for what they claim, and invalidating their adherence to the blind following of their forefathers.
2 - Second: establishing that there is no equality between the Lord and the servants,
and that the Lord - the Most High - is exclusively entitled to the merit of the utmost limit of aggrandizement, unlike all His servants and all His creations.
