الْمَدَائِنِthe cities
حَاشِرِينَ}gatherers}
{And send in the cities gatherers}
وَقَوْلِهِ
And His saying- تَعَالَى -:
- Most High -:And His saying - Most High -:
{وَحُشِرَ{And were gathered
لِسُلَيْمَانَfor Solomon
جُنُودُهُ}his soldiers}
إِلَخْ.etc.
{And were gathered for Solomon his soldiers} etc.
وَهَذَا
And thisأَوْفَقُ
is more fittingبِقِصَّةِ
to the storyبَنِي
of Banuالنَّضِيرِ،
An-Nadir,And this is more fitting to the story of Banu An-Nadir,
وَأَبْلَغُ
and more eloquentوَأَقْوَى
and strongerفِي
inبَيَانِ
clarifyingالْمِنَّةِ
the favorمِنَ
fromاللَّهِ
Allahالْقَدِيرِ.
the Almighty.and more eloquent and stronger in clarifying the favor from Allah the Almighty.

[The Abrogatingوَالْمَنْسُوخُ:]
and the Abrogated:][The Abrogating and the Abrogated:]
كَذَلِكَ
Likewiseمِمَّا
from whatتَشْتَمِلُ
is includedعَلَيْهِ
in itرِوَايَاتُ
the narrations ofالْمُفَسِّرِينَ
the exegetesLikewise, among what the narrations of the exegetes include
بَيَانُ
is the explanation ofالنَّاسِخِ
the abrogatingوَالْمَنْسُوخِ
and the abrogatedوَيَنْبَغِي
and it is fittingأَنْ
thatتَعْرِفَ
you knowهُنَا
hereنُكْتَتَانِ:
two subtle points:is the explanation of the abrogating and the abrogated, and it is fitting that you know here two subtle points:

1- النُّكْتَةُ
- The firstالْأُولَى:
subtle point:هِيَ
isأَنَّ
thatالصَّحَابَةَ
the Companionsوَالتَّابِعِينَ
and the Successors- رَضِيَ
- may Allah beاللَّهُ
pleasedعَنْهُمْ -
with them -1 - The first subtle point: is that the Companions and the Successors - may Allah be pleased with them -
لَمْ
did notيَكُونُوا
use toيَسْتَعْمِلُونَ
use"النَّسْخَ"
"abrogation"بِالْمَعْنَى
in the meaningالْاصْطِلَاحِيِّ
terminologicalالْمَعْرُوفِ
knownبَيْنَ
amongالْأُصُولِيِّينَ،
the legal theorists,did not use "abrogation" in the terminological meaning known among the legal theorists,
بَلْ
ratherكَانُوا
they used toيُرِيدُونَ
intendبِهِ
by itالْمَعْنَى
the linguisticاللُّغَوِيِّ
meaningالَّذِي
whichهُوَ
isعِبَارَةٌ
an expressionعَنْ
for"الْإِزَالَةِ"
"removal".rather, they intended by it the linguistic meaning which is an expression for "removal".
فَمَعْنَى
So the meaningالنَّسْخِ
of abrogationإِذَنْ
thenعِنْدَهُمْ
to themإِزَالَةُ
is the removal ofبَعْضِ
someأَوْصَافِ
attributes ofالْآيَةِ
the verseالْمُتَقَدِّمَةِ
precedingبِالْآيَةِ
by the verseالْمُتَأَخِّرَةِ،
subsequent,So the meaning of abrogation then to them is the removal of some attributes of the preceding verse by the subsequent verse,
سَوَاءٌ
whetherكَانَ
it wasبَيَانًا
a clarificationلِانْتِهَاءِ
of the endمُدَّةِ
of the periodالْعَمَلِ
of actingبِهَا
upon itأَوْ
orصَرْفًا
a redirectionلِلْكَلَامِ
of speechعَنِ
fromالْمَعْنَى
the meaningالْمُتَبَادَرِ
readily understoodwhether it was a clarification of the end of the period of acting upon it, or a redirection of speech from the readily understood meaning,

a clarificationإِقْحَامِ
of the introductionقَيْدٍ
of a restrictionمِنَ
fromالْقُيُودِ،
the restrictions,أَوْ
orتَخْصِيصًا
a specificationلِلْعُمُومِ،
of the general,or a clarification of the introduction of a restriction from the restrictions, or a specification of the general,
أَوْ
orبَيَانَ
a clarificationالْفَارِقِ
of the distinctionبَيْنَ
betweenالْمَنْصُوصِ
that which is explicitly statedوَالْمَقِيسِ
and that which is analogizedعَلَيْهِ
to itظَاهِرًا،
outwardly,وَأَمْثَالَ
and the likes ofذَلِكَ.
that.or a clarification of the distinction between that which is explicitly stated and that which is analogized to it outwardly, and the likes of that.
وَهَذَا
And thisبَابٌ
is a fieldوَاسِعٌ
vastوَلِلْعَقْلِ
and for the intellectفِيهِ
in itمَجَالٌ،
is scope,And this is a vast field, and for the intellect in it is scope,
وَلِلِاخْتِلَافِ
and for disagreementفِيهِ
in itمَسَاغٌ،
is leeway,وَلِهَذَا
and for this reasonبَلَغَتِ
reachedالْآيَاتُ
the versesالْمَنْسُوخَةُ
considered abrogatedعَلَى
uponهَذَا
thisالْمَعْنَى
meaningإِلَى
toخَمْسِ
fiveمِائَةِ
hundredآيَةٍ.
verse.and for disagreement in it is leeway, and for this reason the verses considered abrogated upon this meaning reached five hundred verses.
