And

الْعِبْرِيِّينَ،

in the Torah for the Hebrews,

And in the Torah for the Hebrews,

وَ

and

فِي

in

الْإِنْجِيلِ

the Gospel

لِلنَّصْرَانِيِّينَ،

for the Christians,

and in the Gospel for the Christians,

وَ

and

فِي

in

الْقُرْآنِ

the Quran

الْعَظِيمِ

the Magnificent

لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ.

for the Muslims.

and in the Magnificent Quran for the Muslims.

وَ

And

الْحَقِيقَةُ

the truth

أَنَّ

is that

مَنَاطَ

the basis of

الْحُكْمِ

judgment

هُوَ

is

الْإِيمَانُ

belief

بِاللَّهِ

in Allah

And the truth is that the basis of judgment is belief in Allah

- تَعَالَى -

- Exalted is He -

وَ

and

بِالْيَوْمِ

in the Last

الْآخِرِ،

Day,

- Exalted is He - and in the Last Day,

وَ

and

الْإِيمَانُ

belief

بِالنَّبِيِّ

in the Prophet

الَّذِي

who

بُعِثَ

was sent

لَهُمْ،

to them,

and belief in the Prophet who was sent to them,

وَ

and

الِانْقِيَادُ

submission

لَهُ

to him

وَ

and

الْعَمَلُ

acting

بِشَرِيعَتِهِ،

upon his law,

and submission to him and acting upon his law,

وَ

and

الِاجْتِنَابُ

avoiding

عَنْ

from

نَوَاهِيهِ،

his prohibitions,

and avoiding his prohibitions,

لَا

not

خُصُوصُ

merely the specific

الدِّيَانَةِ

religion

وَ

and

خُصُوصُ

the specific

الطَّائِفَةِ

sect

الْمُسَمَّاةِ

named

بِالْيَهُودِ

Jews

وَ

and

النَّصْرَانِيِّينَ

Christians

وَغَيْرِهِمْ،

and others,

not merely the specific religion and the specific sect named Jews and Christians and others,

وَلَكِنَّ

but

الْيَهُودَ

the Jews

بَدَأُوا

began

يَظُنُّونَ

to think

أَنَّ

that

كُلَّ

everyone

مَنْ

who

كَانَ

was

يَهُودِيّاً

Jewish

أَوْ

or

عِبْرِيّاً،

Hebrew,

but the Jews began to think that everyone who was Jewish or Hebrew,

فَهُوَ

then he

مِنْ

is of

أَهْلِ

the people

الْجَنَّةِ،

of Paradise,

then he is of the people of Paradise,

وَ

and

لَا

no

بُدَّ

doubt

أَنْ

that

تَنَالَهُ

will reach him

شَفَاعَةُ

the intercession of

الْأَنْبِيَاءِ

the prophets

وَ

and

تُخَلِّصَهُ

save him

مِنَ

from

الْعَذَابِ،

the punishment,

and the intercession of the prophets will surely reach him and save him from the punishment,

وَ

and

أَنَّهُ

that he

لَا

will not

يَمْكُثُ

abide

فِي

in

النَّارِ

the Fire

إِلَّا

except

أَيَّاماً

days

مَعْدُودَاتٍ،

numbered,

and that he will not abide in the Fire except for a few numbered days,

وَلَوْ

even if

لَمْ

not

يَكُنْ

was

مَنَاطُ

the basis of

الْحُكْمِ

judgment

- الَّذِي

- which

قَدْ

has

سَبَقَ

previously

بَيَانُهُ -

been explained -

مُتَحَقِّقاً

fulfilled

even if the basis of judgment - which has previously been explained - was not fulfilled

وَ

and

لَمْ

not

يَكُنْ

was

إِيمَانُهُ

his belief

بِاللَّهِ

in Allah

- تَعَالَى -

- Exalted is He -

عَلَى

upon

الْوَجْهِ

the correct

الصَّحِيحِ

manner

and his belief in Allah - Exalted is He - was not upon the correct manner

وَ

and

لَا

he does not

يَمْلِكُ

possess

شَيْئاً

anything

مِنَ

of

الْإِدْرَاكِ

the correct

الصَّحِيحِ

comprehension

لِمَعْنَى

for the meaning of

الرِّسَالَةِ

the message

وَ

and

الْآخِرَةِ،

the Hereafter,

and he possesses nothing of the correct comprehension for the meaning of the message and the Hereafter,

وَ

and

هَذَا

this

هُوَ

is

الْخَطَأُ

the clear

الصَّرِيحُ

error

وَ

and

الْجَهْلُ

sheer

الصِّرْفُ.

ignorance.

and this is the clear error and sheer ignorance.

وَ

And

لَمَّا

since

أَنَّ

that

الْقُرْآنَ

the Quran

الْعَظِيمَ

the Magnificent

مُهَيْمِنٌ

is dominant

عَلَى

over

الْكُتُبِ

the previous

السَّابِقَةِ

books

And since the Magnificent Quran is dominant over the previous books

وَ

and

مُبَيِّنٌ

clarifying

لِمَا

what

فِيهَا

is in them

مِنْ

of

إِبْهَامٍ

ambiguity

وَغُمُوضٍ،

and obscurity,

and clarifying what is in them of ambiguity and obscurity,

فَقَدْ

it has

كَشَفَ

exposed

شُبُهَاتِهِمْ

their doubts

هَذِهِ

these

وَ

and

رَدَّ

refuted

عَلَيْهَا

them

رُدُوداً

with refutations

وَاضِحَةً

clear

مُقْنِعَةً.

and convincing.

it has exposed these doubts of theirs and refuted them with clear and convincing refutations.

{Yes,
مَنْ
whoever
كَسَبَ
earns
سَيِّئَةً
evil
وَ
and
أَحَاطَتْ
is encompassed
بِهِ
by
خَطِيئَتُهُ
his sin,

{Yes, whoever earns evil and is encompassed by his sin,

فَأُولَئِكَ
then those
أَصْحَابُ
are the companions of
النَّارِ
the Fire;
هُمْ
they
فِيهَا
therein
خَالِدُونَ}
will abide eternally.}

then those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.}
