وَقَصَصِand storiesسَيِّدِنَاof our masterدَاوُودَDavidوَسُلَيْمَانَand Solomon--عَلَيْهِمَاupon both of themالسَّلَامُpeace--

And the stories of our masters David and Solomon - peace be upon them -

وَخِلَافَتِهِمَاand their successionوَمُعْجِزَاتِهِمَاand their miraclesوَخَوَارِقِهِمَا،and their supernatural feats,

and their succession, their miracles, and their supernatural feats,

وَقِصَّةِand the story ofمِحْنَةِthe trial ofسَيِّدِنَاour masterأَيُّوبَJobوَسَيِّدِنَاand our masterيُونُسَJonah--عَلَيْهِمَاupon both of themالسَّلَامُpeace--

and the story of the trial of our masters Job and Jonah - peace be upon them -

وَظُهُورِand the appearance ofرَحْمَةِthe mercy ofاللَّهِGod--تَعَالَىthe Most Highوَعَطْفِهِand His affectionعَلَيْهَا،towards them,

and the appearance of the mercy of God - the Most High - and His affection towards them,

وَقِصَّةِand the story ofدُعَاءِthe supplication ofسَيِّدِنَاour masterزَكَرِيَّاZechariah--عَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلَامُpeace--

and the story of the supplication of our master Zechariah - peace be upon him -

وَاسْتِجَابَةِand the response ofاللَّهِGod--تَعَالَىthe Most High--إِيَّاهُ،to him,

and the response of God - the Most High - to him,

وَالْقَصَصِand the storiesالْعَجِيبَةِwondrousلِسَيِّدِنَاof our masterعِيسَىJesus--عَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلَامُpeace--

and the wondrous stories of our master Jesus - peace be upon him -

وَوِلَادَتِهِand his birthمِنْfromغَيْرِwithoutوَالِدٍ،a father,

and his birth without a father,

وَتَكَلُّمِهِand his speakingفِيinالْمَهْدِ،the cradle,

and his speaking in the cradle,

وَظُهُورِand the appearance ofالْخَوَارِقِsupernatural featsوَالْمُعْجِزَاتِand miraclesعَلَىuponيَدِهِ،his hand,

and the appearance of supernatural feats and miracles at his hands,

وَأَمْثَالِand likesهَذِهِof theseمِنَfromالْقَصَصِthe storiesالَّتِيwhichاطَّرَدَتْrecurredفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranالْحَكِيمِthe Wise

and the likes of these from the stories that recurred in the Wise Quran

بِأَلْوَانٍin colorsمُخْتَلِفَةٍdifferentمِنَfromالْإِيجَازِconcisenessوَالْإِطْنَابِand elaborationوَالتَّفْصِيلِand detailوَالْإِجْمَالِand summarization

in various colors of conciseness, elaboration, detail, and summarization

حَسَبَaccording toمُقْتَضَىthe requirement ofالْأَسَالِيبِthe stylesالْمَرْعِيَّةِobservedفِيinالسُّوَرِ.the chapters.

according to the requirement of the styles observed in the chapters.

الْقَصَصُThe storiesالَّتِيthatلَمْdid notتَتَكَرَّرْrecurفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranكَثِيراً:much:

The stories that did not recur much in the Quran:

أَمَّاAs forالْقَصَصُthe storiesالَّتِيthatلَمْdid notتَتَكَرَّرْrecurفِيinالْقُرْآنِthe Quranتَكَرَّرَrecurrenceالْقَصَصِof the storiesالْأُولَىfirst

As for the stories that did not recur in the Quran like the first stories,

بَلْratherوَرَدَتْthey were mentionedفِيinمَوْضِعٍplaceأَوْorمَوْضِعَيْنِtwo placesفَحَسْبُonlyفَهِيَ:they are:

rather they were mentioned in a place or two only, they are:

  • قِصَّةُThe story ofرَفْعِraisingسَيِّدِنَاour masterإِدْرِيسَEnoch--عَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلَامُpeace--مَكَاناًa placeعَلِيّاً.high.
  • The story of raising our master Enoch - peace be upon him - to a high place.

  • --وَقِصَّةُAnd the story ofمُحَاجَّةِargumentation ofإِبْرَاهِيمَAbrahamلِنَمْرُودَ،to Nimrod,وَمُشَاهَدَتِهِand his witnessingإِحْيَاءَthe revival ofالطَّيْرِ،the birds,وَقِصَّةُand the story ofذَبْحِslaughteringوَلَدِهِhis sonالْوَحِيدِ.the only one.
  • - And the story of Abraham's argument with Nimrod, his witnessing the revival of birds, and the story of the slaughter of his only son.

  • --قِصَّةُThe story ofسَيِّدِنَاour masterيُوسُفَJoseph--عَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلَامُ.peace.
  • - The story of our master Joseph - peace be upon him.

  • --وَقِصَّةُAnd the story ofوِلَادَةِbirth ofسَيِّدِنَاour masterمُوسَىMoses,,--عَلَيْهِupon himالسَّلَامُpeace--وَإِلْقَائِهِand his castingفِيintoالْيَمِّ،the river,وَوَكْزِهِand his strikingلِلْقِبْطِيِّat the Coptوَقَتْلِهِand his killingإِيَّاهُ،him,ثُمَّthenتَوَجُّهِهِhis headingإِلَىtowards"مَدْيَنَ""Madyan"
  • - And the story of the birth of our master Moses - peace be upon him - and his casting into the river, his striking the Copt and killing him, then his heading towards "Madyan"
