بَدَّلُواThey exchangedنِعْمَةَthe blessing ofاللَّهِAllahكُفْرًاfor disbelief
They exchanged the blessing of Allah for disbelief.
أَيْ:that is:فَعَلُواthey didمَكَانَin place ofشُكْرِthankingنِعْمَةِthe blessing ofاللَّهِAllahكُفْرًاdisbelief.
That is: they put disbelief in place of thanking the blessing of Allah.
