So when the king saw it, he said: This befits only a counterpart, so seek its counterpart even if you double the price. So they came to him and said: Do you have its counterpart and we will give you double what we gave you? He said: Yes. So he gave them the second for double what he sold the first for.

I have not seen anyone more righteous than Al-Fadl son of Yahya, for indeed it reached from his righteousness to his father that when they were imprisoned, Al-Fadl used to heat water for Yahya for his ablution because he used to perform ablution with hot water, so the jailer prevented them one night from bringing in firewood and the night was cold, so Al-Fadl stood when Yahya took his resting place by a qamqam in which water used to be heated, so he filled it from the well then came with it to the lamp and brought it close to it and he did not cease standing and the qamqam in his hand until morning came and the water had heated, so he brought it close to his father.

Then his son Kilab stood up to him, and he was a devout ascetic, and said: Rather I, O Commander of the Faithful, sell to Allah my soul and sell my worldly life for my hereafter. So his father clung to him while he was in the shade of a palm tree of his and said: Do not leave your father and mother as two weak elderly people who raised you when you were small until when they needed you, you left them! He said: Yes, I will leave them for that which is better for me. So he went out as a warrior after he pleased his father, and he delayed and his father was in the shade of a palm tree of his, and behold, a pigeon was calling its chick, so the old man saw it and wept, and the old woman saw him and wept, and he began reciting:

So these verses reached Umar son of Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, so he sent to Kilab and he came to him and said: It has reached me that your father found over your departure intense grief, so with what did you treat him righteously? He said: I used to treat him righteously with everything even that I used to milk a camel for him and when I milked it he recognized my milking. So Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, sent for the camel and it was brought from where the old man did not know and he said to him: Milk it. So he stood up to it and washed its udder then milked it into a vessel. So Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, sent the vessel to his father and when it was brought to him he wept then said: Verily I find in this milk the scent of Kilab. So women who were with him said to him: You have grown old and doting and your mind has gone, Kilab is in the back of Kufa and you claim that you find his scent! So he began reciting:
