أَوَّلًاFirstlyالنَّبِيُّونَ،the prophets,وَهُمْand they areكُلُّallمَنْwhoأُوحِيَwas revealedاللَّهُAllahإِلَيْهِمْto them,وَنَبَّأَهُمْ،and informed them,فَهُوَso he isدَاخِلٌincludedفِيinهَذِهِthisالْآيَةِ،verse,فَيَشْمَلُwhich includesالرُّسُلَ،the messengers,لِأَنَّbecauseكُلَّeveryرَسُولٍmessengerنَبِيٍّ،is a prophet,وَلَيْسَand notكُلُّeveryنَبِيٍّprophetرَسُولًا.a messenger.
Firstly: The prophets, who are all those to whom Allah has revealed and informed them, are included in this verse, which covers the messengers, because every messenger is a prophet, but not every prophet is a messenger.
وَعَلَىAnd based onهَذَا،this,فَيُمْكِنُit is possibleأَنْ يَكُونَto beالنَّبِيُّونَthe prophetsشَامِلًاincludingلِلرُّسُلِthe messengersأُولِيof those who haveالْعَزْمِdeterminationوَغَيْرِهِمْ،and others,وَشَامِلًاand also includingأَيْضًاalsoلِلنَّبِيِّينَthe prophetsالَّذِينَwhoلَمْdid notيُرْسَلُوا،send,وَهَـٰؤُلَـٰئِكَand theseأَعْلَىthe highestأَصْنَافِcategoriesالْخَلْقِ.of creation.
Based on this, it is possible that the prophets are including the messengers of determination and others, and also includes the prophets who were not sent, and these are the highest categories of creation.
ثَانِيًاSecondly: الصِّدِّيقُونَ:: the truthful ones:جَمْعٌCollectiveصَدِيقٍ،of a friend,عَلَىonوَزْنِthe weight ofفَعِيلٍ،‘the faithful’,صِيغَةٌa formulaمُبَالَغَةٍ.of exaggeration.
Secondly: The truthful ones: a collective of a friend, on the weight of ‘the faithful’, a formula of exaggeration.
فَمَنْSo whoهُوَis heالصِّدِّيقُ؟the truthful?
So who is the truthful?
أَحْسَنُThe bestمَاwhatيُفَسِّرُexplainsبِهِthisالصِّدِّيقُthe truthfulقَوْلُهُhis statementتَعَالَى:the Most High:﴿﴿وَالَّذِىAnd he whoجَاءَhas comeبِالصِّدْقِwith the truthوَصَدَقَand confirmedبِهِit﴾﴾[الزُّمَرِ:[Az-Zumar:٣٣]،33],وَقَالَتْAnd saidتَعَالَى:the Most High:﴿﴿وَالَّذِينَAnd those whoءَامَنُواbelievedبِاللَّهِin Allahوَرُسُلِهِand His messengersأُولَـٰئِكَthoseهُمْthey areالصِّدِّيقُونَthe truthful ones﴾﴾[الْحَدِيدِ:[Al-Hadid:١٩]؛19];فَمَنْSo whoeverحَقَّقَachievedالإيمَانَ ـthe faith -وَلَاand notيَتِمُّis completedتَحْقِيقُthe realizationالإيمَانِof faithإِلَّاexceptبِالصِّدْقِby truthfulnessوَالْتَّصْدِيقِ -and affirmation -؛ فَهُوَthen he isصَدِيقٌtruthful:
The best explanation of the truthful is his statement, the Most High: ‘And he who has come with the truth and confirmed it’ (Az-Zumar: 33), and said the Most High: ‘And those who believed in Allah and His messengers, they are the truthful ones’ (Al-Hadid: 19); So whoever achieves faith – and the realization of faith is not completed except by truthfulness and affirmation – then he is truthful.
--الصِّدْقُTruthfulnessفِيinالعَقِيدَةِcreed,بِالْإِخْلَاصِ،with sincerity,وَهَذَاand thisأَصْعَبُis the hardestمَاwhatيَكُونُisعَلَىtoالْمَرْءِ،a person,حَتَّىuntilقَالَsaidبَعْضُsomeالسَّلَفِof the predecessors:مَاwhatجَاهَدَتُI struggledنَفْسِيmyselfعَلَىagainstشَيْءٍsomethingمُجَاهَدَتِهَاlike my struggleعَلَىagainstالإِخْلَاصِ؛sincerity;فَلَاSo there is noبُدٌّ مِنْway out ofالصِّدْقِtruthfulnessفِيinالْمَقْصِدِ ـthe intention -وَهُوَand it isالعَقِيدَةُ ـthe creed -وَالْإِخْلَاصُand sincerityلِلَّهِto Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّ.the Exalted and Almighty.
- Truthfulness in creed, with sincerity, and this is the hardest thing for a person, until some of the predecessors have said: I did not struggle with myself on something like I struggled for sincerity; so there is no way out of truthfulness in intention - and it is to be sincere to Allah the Exalted and Almighty.
--الصِّدْقُTruthfulnessفِيinالْمَقَالَةِ،statement:لَاOnlyيَقُولُhe saysإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatطَابَقَmatchesالْوَاقِعَ ؛reality;سَوَاءًwhetherعَلَىaboutنَفْسِهِhimselfأَوْorعَلَىonغَيْرِهِ؛others;فَهُوَso he isقَائِمٌis standingبِالْقِسْطِin justiceعَلَىagainstنَفْسِهِhimselfوَعَلَىand onغَيْرِهِ؛others;أَبِيهِhis fatherوَأُمِّهِand his motherوَأَخِيهِand his brotherوَأُخْتِهِand his sister ...وَغَيْرِهِم.and others.
- Truthfulness in statement: he says only what matches reality; whether about himself or others; so he is standing in justice against himself and against others; his father and mother and brother and sister ... and others.
--الصِّدْقُTruthfulness:فِيInالْأَفْعَالِ:actions:وَهِيَand it isأَنْ تَكُونَto beأَفْعَالُهُhis actionsمُطَابِقَةًmatchingلِمَاto whatجَاءَcameبِهِwithالنَّبِيِّ،the prophet,وَمَنْand whoeverصَدَقَis truthfulفِيinأَنْ تَكُونَis to beنَابِعَةًinspiredعَنfromإِخْلَاصٍ؛sincerity;فَإِنْ لَمْif notتَكُنْbeنَابِعَةًfromعَنfromإِخْلَاصٍ؛sincerity;لَمْnotتَكُنْbeصَادِقَةً؛truthful;لِأَنَّbecauseفِعْلَهُhis actionيُخَالِفُcontradictsقَوْلَهُ.his statement.
- Truthfulness in actions: and it is to be his actions matching what the prophet came with, and whoever is truthful in actions should be inspired by sincerity; if it is not inspired by sincerity, it is not truthful; because his action contradicts his statement.
فَالصَّدِيقُSo the truthful personإِذًا:Then:مَنْwhoصَدَقَis truthfulفِيinمُعْتَقَدِهِhis belief,وَإِخْلَاصِهِand his sincerityوَإِرَادَتِهِand desireوَفِيand in١٥٤154
So the truthful person then: who is truthful in his belief, and his sincerity, and his desire, and in 154.
