يَقُومُونَthey performبِطَاعَتِهِhis obedience
They perform his obedience.
وَتَمَامُand the completionالْآيَةِof the verse﴿(أَذِلَّةٍhumbleعَلَىuponالْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersأَعِزَّةٍmightعَلَىuponالْكَافِرِينَthe disbelievers﴾)[المَائِدَةِ[Al-Ma'idah::٥٤54
And the completion of the verse (They are humble upon the believers, and mighty upon the disbelievers) [Al-Ma'idah: 54].
أَمَامَIn front ofالْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersأَذِلَّةً؛humble;يَخْفِضُونَthey lowerأَجْنِحَتَهُمْtheir wingsلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ،for the believers,وَيُلِينُونَand they softenلَهُمْ،to them,وَيَتَوَاضَعُونَ،and they are humble,وَمَعَand withالْكَفَّارِthe disbelieversأَعِزَّةًmightyأَقْوِيَاءَ،strong,لَاnotيُظْهِرُونَthey showالذُّلَّhumilityأَمَامَin front ofالْكَافِرِthe disbelieverأَبَدًا.ever.
In front of the believers, they are humble; they lower their wings for the believers, and they soften to them, and they are humble, and with the disbelievers, they are mighty and strong; they do not show humility in front of the disbeliever ever.
وَقَدْAnd we haveعَلَّمْنَاlearnedالرَّسُولَthe messengerعَلَيْهِupon himالصَّلَاةَthe prayerوَالسَّلاَمَ:and peace:«وَإِذَاAnd ifلَقِيتُمُوهُمْyou meet themفِيinطَرِيقٍ؛the way;فَاضْطَرُّوهُمْforce themإِلَىtoأَضِيقِهِits narrowest(١)؛(1);فَإِنْSo ifلَاقَاكُمُthey meet you,الْيَهُودُthe Jewsوَالنَّصَارَى،and the Christians,وَلَوْeven ifكَانُواthey wereأَلْفًاa thousand,وَأَنْتُمْand youعَشَرَةً؛ten;نَشِقُwe splitهَذَاthisالْجَمْعَ،group,وَلَاand do notنُفْسِحْgive wayلَهُمْto them,بَلْbutنُلْجِئُهُمْwe force themإِلَىtoأَضِيَقِهِits narrowestفَنُرِيَهُمْso we show themالْعِزَّthe honorبِدِينِنَا،with our religion,لَاnotبِأَنْفُسِنَا،by ourselves,لِأَنَّنَاbecause weنَحْنُwe areبَشَرٌhumansوَهُمْand theyبَشَرٌ،humans,حَتَّىuntilيَتَبَيَّنَthey realizeلَهُمْfor themأَنْthatدِينَthe religionالإِسْلَامَIslamهُوَisالظَّاهِرُ،the apparent,وَأَنْand thatالمُتَمَسِّكُthe one who holds fastبِهِto itهُوَisالْعَزِيزُthe mighty.
And we learned from the messenger, peace be upon him: "And if you meet them on the way; force them to its narrowest (1); if the Jews and Christians meet you, even if they were a thousand and you are ten; we split this group, and we do not give way to them, but we force them to its narrowest, so we show them the honor with our religion, not by ourselves, because we are humans and they are humans, until they realize that the religion of Islam is the apparent, and that the one who holds fast to it is the mighty.
يُجَاهِدُونَThey striveفِيinسَبِيلِthe path ofاللَّهِAllahوَلَاand do notيَخَافُونَfearلَوْمَةَthe blameلاِيمَةَ﴾of the blamer﴾[المَائِدَةِ:[Al-Ma'idah:٥٤]:54]:
They strive in the path of Allah and do not fear the blame of the blamer﴾ [Al-Ma'idah: 54]:
يُجَاهِدُونَthey struggleفِيinسَبِيلِthe pathاللَّهِof Allahكُلُّeveryoneمَنْwhoقَامَstandsضِدَّagainstدِينِthe religionاللَّهِof Allahمِنْfromكَافِرٍdisbelieverوَفَاسِقٍand corruptوَمُلْحِدٍand atheistوَمَارِقٍand rebelliousيُجَاهِدُونَهُthey struggle against himوَكُلُّand everyoneإِنْسَانٍhumanيُقَابِلُونَهُthey meetمِنَfromالسَّلاحِthe weaponبِمَاwith whatيُنَاسِبُsuitsبِهِ؛for him;فَمَنSo whoeverقَاتَلَهُمْfights themبِالْحَدِيدِwith ironوَالنَّارِ؛and fire;قَاتِلُوهُlet them fight himبِالْحَدِيدِwith ironوَالنَّارِ،and fire,وَمَنand whoeverقَاتَلَهُمْfights themبِالْجِدَالِwith argumentوَالْخِصَامِand quarrelالكَلَامِي؛the verbal;جَادِلُوهُargue with himمِثْلَlike this;فَهُمْtheyيُجَاهِدُونَstriveفِيinاللَّهِGodبِكُلِّwith everyنَوْعٍtypeمِنَofأَنْوَاعِtypesالْجِهَادِ.jihad.
They strive in the path of Allah by fighting against every disbeliever, corrupt, atheist, and rebellious and they struggle against everyone they encounter with weapons that suit them; so whoever fights them with steel and fire, let them fight him with steel and fire, and whoever fights them with debate and verbal disputes; let them argue with him like that; they strive in the path of Allah with every type of jihad.
وَلَاAnd do notيَخَافُونَthey fearلَوْمَةَthe blameلاِيمَةَof the blamer
And they do not fear the blame of the blamer.
