مِنْهَاAmong themمَحَبَّةٌLoveمَاwhatيُحِبُّهُHe lovesاللَّهُAllah
Among them is the love of what Allah loves.
مِنْFromالأَعْمَالِthe actionsالْقَوْلِيَّةِverbalوَالْفَعَلِيَّةِand practicalوَالْقَلْبِيَّةِand heartfulتُحِبُّYou loveالَّذِيthe one whoيُحِبُّهُHe lovesاللَّهُAllah؛;
From the verbal, practical, and heartfelt actions; you love the one whom Allah loves.
فَهَذَاThis makes youيَجْعَلُكَcause youتُحِبُّto loveاللَّهَAllah؛;
This makes you love Allah.
لِأَنَّBecauseاللَّهَAllahيُجَازِيكَwill reward youعَلَى هَذَاfor thisأَنْthatيَضَعَHe placesمَحَبَّتَهُHis loveفِيinقَلْبِكَyour heart،,فَتُحِبُّso you loveاللَّهَAllahإِذَاifقُمْتَyou actبِمَاwith whatيُحِبُّloves؛;
Because Allah will reward you for this by placing His love in your heart, so you will love Allah if you act according to what He loves.
وَكَذَلِكَAnd likewiseتُحِبُّyou loveمِنَthose whoيُحِبُّloves،,وَالْفَرْقُand the differenceبَيْنَهُمَاbetween themظَاهِرٌis apparent؛;
And likewise, you love those who love, and the difference between them is apparent.
الأَخِيرَةُThe latterمِنَofالأَشْخَاصِpeople،,وَالْأُولَىand the formerمِنَofالأَعْمَالِthe actions؛;لِأَنَّاBecause weأَتَيْنَاcameبِـwith(مَا)(what)الَّتِيthatلِغَيْرِfor nonالْعَاقِلِrational beingمِنَofالأَعْمَالِthe worksوَالْأَمَاكِنِand places،,وَالْأَزْمَانِand timesوَهَذِهِand this(مِن)(of)لِلْعَاقِلِfor the rationalمِنَofالأَشْخَاصِpeople
The latter refers to people, and the former refers to actions; because we came with (what) that refers to non-rational beings, the actions, places, and times, and this (is) for rational beings, the people.
تُحِبُّYou loveالنَّبِيَّthe Prophetعَلَيْهِpeace be upon himالصَّلاةُprayerوَالسَّلاَمُand peace،,تُحِبُّYou loveإِبْرَاهِيمَIbrahim،,تُحِبُّyou loveمُوسَىMusaوَعِيسَىand Isaوَغَيْرَهُمْand othersمِنَofالْأَنْبِيَاءِthe prophets،,تُحِبُّyou loveالصِّدِّيقِينَthe righteous؛;كَأَبِيlike AbuبَكْرٍBakr،,وَالشُّهَدَاءِand the martyrs،,وَغَيْرِand otherذَٰلِكَthatمِمَّنfrom those whoيُحِبُّهُمْHe loves themاللَّهُAllah؛;
You love the Prophet, peace be upon him; you love Ibrahim; you love Musa and Isa and others among the prophets; you love the righteous, like Abu Bakr, and the martyrs, and others from those whom Allah loves.
فَهَذَاThis brings youيَجْلِبُbringsلَكَto youمَحَبَّةَthe loveاللَّهِof Allah،,وَهُوَand it isأَيْضًاalsoمِنْofآثَارِthe effectsمَحَبَّةِthe loveاللَّهِAllah؛;
This brings you the love of Allah, and it is also one of the effects of the love of Allah.
فَهُوَFor it isسَبَبٌa reasonوَأَثَرٌand an effect،,وَمِنْهَاAnd among themكَثْرَةٌthe abundanceذِكْرِof remembranceاللَّهِof Allah؛;
For it is a reason and an effect, and among them is the abundance of the remembrance of Allah.
بِحَيْثٍSuch thatيَكُونَit isدَائِمًاalwaysعَلَىonبَالِكَyour mindحَتَّىuntilتَكُونَit becomesكُلَّمَاwheneverشَاهَدْتَyou seeشَيْئًاsomething؛;
Such that it is always on your mind until it becomes whenever you see something;
اسْتَدْلَلْتَYou find evidence forبِهِitعَلَيْهِagainst itعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almighty،,حَتَّىuntilيَكُونَit isقَلْبُكَyour heartدَائِمًاalwaysمَشْغُولًاbusyبِاللَّهِwith Allahمُعَرَّضًاturned awayعَمَّاfrom whatسِوَاهُother؛;
You find evidence for it against the Almighty, until your heart is always busy with Allah, turned away from what is other than Him.
فَهَذَاThis brings youيَجْلِبُbringsلَكَto youمَحَبَّةَthe loveاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almightyلِلَّهِto Allah،,وَهَذِهِand thisيَجْلِبُbringsلَكَto youمَحَبَّةَthe loveاللَّهِof Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّthe Almighty؛;
This brings you the love of Allah, and this also brings you the love of Allah the Almighty.
وَهَذِهِAnd thisالأَسْبَابُthe reasonsالثَّلَاثَةُthreeهِيَareعِندِيin my opinionمِنْofأَقْوَىthe strongestأَسْبَابٍthe reasonsمَحَبَّةٍfor lovingاللَّهِAllah
And these three reasons are in my opinion of the strongest reasons for loving Allah.
السُّؤَالُThe questionالثَّانِيsecondمَاWhatهِيَisالْآثَارُthe effectsالمَسْلَكِيَّةُthe behavioralالَّتِيthatيَسْتَلْزِمُهَاare requiredمَاwhatذُكِرَwas mentioned؟?
The second question: What are the behavioral effects that are required from what was mentioned?
وَالْجَوَابُAnd the answerأَوَّلًاFirstقَوْلُهُHis saying﴿﴾وَأَحْسِنُواAnd do goodإِنَّIndeedاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّlovesالْمُحْسِنِينَthe doers of good﴿﴿
And the answer: First, His saying: "And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good."
يَقْتَضِيRequiresأَنْthatنُحْسِنَwe do good،,وَأَنْand thatنَحْرِصَwe are keenعَلَىonالإِحْسَانِgoodness؛;
It requires that we do good, and that we are keen on doing goodness;
لِأَنَّBecauseاللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّهُlovesوَكُلُّand everythingشَيْءٍthingيُحِبُّهُHe lovesاللَّهُAllah؛;
Because Allah loves it, and everything that Allah loves;
فَإِنَّاthen weنُحْرِصُare keenعَلَيْهto it،,وَكُلُّand everythingمَاthat whichيُحِبُّهُlovesاللَّهُAllah؛;
then we are keen on it, and everything that Allah loves;
